- Hi Chirs.
- Hi Wes.
- The new format of the show is realy entertaining and provides a TON of information and inspiration.
- I have a question: I am developing an application that involves one Server, two clients and several tablets to run the HTML 5 interface. So I am planning the deployment right now. I will install the software on several test systems and do a final installation on the productive system. Since this is more a kind of appliance runing in an industrial environment rather than in the interwebs, i had the idea to use good old .deb packages and perhaps install my own package repository for the fresh installes and updates.
- What do you think? Does this make any sense in 2018? SNAPs are to complicated, I hate install scripts, doing it manually is no option, puppet & co is to complicated as well.
- Oliver
