Snowberry Caves

[20:37:42] [@Doxy] Adrienne, you managed to retain your glasses, thankfully. As the two of you, clamber out of the piles of snow in which you find yourselves, you see that you've landed... in some sort of frozen cavern system, the avalanche punching a hole through the icy cavern ceiling and leaving you in a deep, frozen grotto.

[20:38:54] [@Doxy] The ice here is old, and the filtered grey light causes the ice to seem various shades of deep greens, blues, and slate greys.

[20:39:35] * Lucian pulls himself out of his snow pile with a groan, brushing the ice and sleet off of his shoulders and head with a scowl. "Yeah, I'm good. You?"
[20:41:38] * Adrienne checks her gear. "I feel pretty fine. Getting split up is kind of a pain in the ass."
[20:42:06] * Lucian looks around the caverns and releases two his Pokemon, Roy and Ishtore to aid in the exploration. "We'll find them soon, with any luck."
[20:42:19] * Lucian looks straight from where they fell, "Think we can climb out of here?"
[20:43:28] * Adrienne releases Arthur out of his ball and then has a look around to judge.
[20:46:06] [@Doxy] The hole in the ceiling is about 15 meters above you; not an insurmountable distance, but all that's up there is a vast frozen expanse, and from what you can see, the weather above is getting worse. Looking around, you see that there's quite a few large, smooth tunnels going through the ice. Adrienne recalls reading about this; the Snowberry Glacier Ice Caverns. There's supposed to be
[20:46:06] [@Doxy] an entrance to these tunnels fairly close to the town entrance - perhaps you might be able to find it.
[20:47:31] [@Doxy] Ishtore jumps up into Adrienne's hair to stay warm. He didn't sign up for no ice caves. Roy and Arthur meanwhile, begin to look around curiously, the lil' bear sniffing down one particular tunnel.
[20:47:34] [Lucian] "Well, you know more about this outdoorsy stuff than me? Think we /should/ climb out or do we try our luck in the caverns."
[20:47:59] [Adrienne] "We can probably climb up, but let's not. The weather's getting worse. We should just go through the tunnels, somewhere in here leads to Snowberry."
[20:48:12] [Lucian] "Roy, can you take point? Keep us posted on any shifts in the snow or anything that'll be approaching us."
[20:48:12] [Adrienne] "What do you smell, Arthur?"
[20:48:55] [@Doxy] Arthur snuffles, and points at his belly.

[20:49:38] [@Doxy] Roy simply starts walking down a tunnel - well, the same one Arthur was pointing at.
[20:49:55] [Adrienne] "Or he smells food down there. I trust his nose, let's go."
[20:50:04] * Lucian chases after the shrew, "Looks like Roy has the same idea."
[20:50:10] * Adrienne goes down the tunnel, along with the other two Pokemon.
[20:50:44] * Adrienne checks the reception while they're walking.

[20:53:25] [@Doxy] but there ARE bears; Cubchoos, to be specific. As you head down the tunnel, you eventually find a large frozen 'room' from where lots of other tunnels branch out. A few cubchoos are running around here, pelting each other with snowballs as they play. A few vanillite are also floating about listlessly.
[20:55:19] * Lucian bends down to snap a few pictures of the bears, "Cute."
[20:55:21] [Adrienne] "Cubchoos are cute," she remarks. "Arthur, which tunnel?"
[20:56:59] [@Doxy] Arthur begins to lead you down a large tunnel, when suddenly a large icicle drops down from above in front of him, almost squashing him!
[20:57:13] [@Doxy] Arthur's little arms windmill, but he falls back on his butt, surprised.
[20:57:22] [@Doxy] Then the icicle turns around.
[20:57:48] [@Doxy] Not so much an icicle. More of a Bergmite.

[21:00:49] [@Doxy] As you look beyond, you see that there's more bergmite in the tunnel beyond - quite a few of them, easily two dozen. The other ones are trying to hide from you by cramming into one corner. It seems the one in front of you has taken it upon himself to drive off the scary intruders though, and is not swayed by Lucian's protestations.

[21:09:10] [@Doxy] The other icebergmons huddle in a gigantic frightened pile, causing quite a lot of noise as they try to clamber over each other. Arthur isn't paying attention to them, suddenly turning around.

In the center, there's a large pillar of pure white ice, which almost seems to glow lightly, in contrast with all the dark gray ice that surrounds it. Adrienne recognizes this room as the central chamber, from the descriptions in the travel guide!
[21:46:58] [Adrienne] "Cool, the central chamber." She looks backwards, are the two of them at risk of Sneasel evisceration?

[21:48:13] [Adrienne] "We can relax for a bit," she says to Lucian. "I'm gonna take a quick look around." She checks out the pillar first, before observing the surrounding pokemon.

[21:50:48] [Adrienne] "Arthur got snuffed up by that bergmite, and the sneasel attacked me when we were fighting it. I was gonna ask you before we left here, but now's a good time as any." She releases Arthur and interrupts pillar watching to walk over to Lucian.

Most conspicuous though, is a large bergmite that seems to be made up of the same pure-white super-dense ice as the Glacial Pillar in the

[22:11:12] [@Doxy] As you get close to it, you feel... very COLD. The air around it is even colder than the general chilly air in the caverns, so cold that you shiver a bit, even if your warm clothing.
[22:12:16] * Lucian shakes an empty Pokeball in front of it, feeling a shiver go down his spine. "If I wasn't convinced before, I am now..."
[22:12:46] [Lucian] "You interested in coming along with us buddy? Or do we need to prove ourselves to you first?"
[22:15:33] [@Doxy] The Bergmite locks eyes with you, looking at you peacefully. Then its eyes begin to glow - at first in a deep warm gold color, but the colors then begin to shift into aurora greens, blues, and violets. The light reflects and refracts throughout the entire room.
[22:15:58] [@Doxy] Just as suddenly as it started, it suddenly stops, and lets out a high pitched squeal - and tackles the ball.

[22:16:18] [Lucian] Lucian's eyes widen and he falls back on his ass, letting the iceberg collide with the ball in mid-air.
[22:16:38] [Adrienne] "... Gotta say, I did not expect that to happen."
[22:16:45] [Lucian] He lets out a shuddering breath and looks up at Adrienne, "Did you feel that too?"

[22:17:37] [@Doxy] The Pokeball falls to the floor with a heavy thud - the ball is completely encased in ice.
[22:18:39] * Lucian picks up the ball with a gloved hand, gingerly lifting it up to inspect before his eyes.
[22:19:13] * Adrienne takes some spare clothes from her inventory and offers it to Lucian. "Wrap the ball in this, way preferable."
[22:20:06] [@Doxy] The layer of ice encasing the ball only seems to be growing thicker and harder.

[22:20:50] [Lucian] "Jeeze, this would be a lot easier if Dann were here with his furry vacuum cleaner."
[22:21:03] [Adrienne] "Nevermind." Adrienne tosses out Morgan. "Hey Morgan, melt the ice would you?"

[22:23:20] [Adrienne] "Oh, there's something I want to ask you. Remember back at the Blackwillow train station, you said that I had a 'kind of charisma'. Wanna explain?"
[22:24:26] [@Doxy] The Frillish begins blowing fire gently on the pokeball~
[22:24:48] [@Doxy] The ice melts quickly, but begins to freeze again as soon as it thaws.
[22:25:00] [Lucian] "...I don't remember a lot of the things I say to be honest but...I guess if I said that I was referring to your, you know..."

[22:25:46] [@Doxy] Morgan gets more and more frustrated, until it finally leaves the ball glowing red hot. HAH. That'll stop it from freezing!
[22:26:03] [Lucian] "You're tough but fair. You don't take shit from people. That has its own kind of appeal, I think."
[22:26:15] * Lucian grins at her, "Yo put up with me after all."
[22:27:44] [Lucian] "I guess what I'm trying to say is, you've got a quality about you that makes you seem, I dunno...reliable? The kind that makes people want to follow you and think it'll be okay if they're following you."
[22:28:08] [Lucian] "...that OR I was referring to your breasts. Which certainly do have their unique sense of appeal."

[22:29:15] * Adrienne holds up a hand, two fingers basically touching. "I was just this close to telling Morgan to set you on fire."

[22:31:43] [Adrienne] "What're you gonna do with it now? Besides giving it to," she waves at the Glaceon. "It."
[22:31:51] [Lucian] "Long story short I captured you, nice to meet you by the way, and I was hoping you'd be able to help me out with something."
[22:32:32] * Lucian sticks out an open palm in front of the Pokemon and cautiously rubs behind its ears. "How about it?"

[22:37:26] * Lucian princess carries the Pokemon and hugs it close to his chest, "Let's get going."
[22:37:45] [@Doxy] As you're standing around doing this, you hear a sudden commotion from the back of the cavern as all the Pokemon around here begin to flee.

Eventually it gets to the point where you can hardly see more than a few meters ahead of you, but still you manage to find your way throught he labyrinth, the sneasel close behind you the entire time.

[22:47:21] [@Doxy] You seem to be near the mountain's peak now, and you have a gorgeous view of the glacier-filled valley below - all snow and pine forests, where the glacier doesn't reach, and even one large lake.
[22:47:46] [@Doxy] Unfortunately it's hard to stop and appreciate the raw and primal natural beauty all around you because yeah there's still a murderous group of mustelids on your tail

[22:50:23] [@Doxy] The Glaceon wakes up momentarily to shake its head at you. Then it zzzs again.

[22:52:36] [@Doxy] You keep running, following the road. Eventually you see one of the small bunker-like structures which serve as entrances for the service elevators to lower you into Snowberry City below.
[22:53:19] * Lucian is panting as he charges ahead through the snow, "I'm too scared to look back, are they still following us?"
[22:53:23] [@Doxy] The Weavile and his gang stay on your heels until you reach sight of this building; as soon as you do though, the Weavile holds out its hand, and the Sneasel stop rushing forward immediately.

[22:59:22] * Adrienne shrugs. "Maybe the Weavile belonged to someone else?"

[22:59:40] [Lucian] "It's something we should investigate in the city, actually."
[22:59:50] [Lucian] "Speaking of which, do you think the others are okay?"

[23:04:28] [@Doxy] You hit da buttan, and the elevator opens up. It's nice and warm inside the elevator~

[23:06:20] [@Doxy] When it opens up again, you find yourself... in a lobby reminiscent of a hotel lobby. There's quite a few people milling about. There's lots of cafes nearby, and a place specializing in Hot Chocolate.

[23:07:05] * Adrienne shoots a text to Dann and Percival. [In Snowberry with Lucian. Where are you?]
[23:07:12] * Lucian checks for messages and sends out his own, [We made it to the city. If you guys aren't here in a few hours we'll be coming out to find you.]
[23:07:24] * Adrienne exits the elevator. "Huh, I didn't expect this."
[23:09:09] * Adrienne heads to the Hot Chocolate place, though. That sounded like a superb idea.

[23:11:21] * Lucian finally sets down his Glaceon and nudges her awake, "Are you good to walk on your own now or do I need to keep carrying you around?"
[23:11:27] * Adrienne is interested in the specialty menu of the hot chocolate place, because she wanted to see what they could get up to.
[23:11:59] * Lucian looks around and takes stock of the other trainers, and looks for something more substantial to eat.
