  1. Be careful what you wish for Shawn. If you want to remove the filibuster you'll have to take the consequences on the Republican side of the aisle too. Are you willing to accept that consequence? I think amending the rules of the filibuster would be more helpful for both sides. Why not limit the time to a reasonable amount instead of getting rid of it all together.
  2.
  3. Your terminology about "pushing through policy" really bothers me Shawn. You're acting as if we work on a Dictator system. This is what bothers me about the NEW Democratic party. Everything you all want to do is so extreme. It also seems like you're ignoring history.
  4. Let me ask you something before I go on, I really do want to understand your mindset.
  5.
  6. Am I correct to believe that you think since these "wealthy tycoons" have so much money, that they should share (in taxes) their money and give it to people who don't work. Is that what you're saying? How much should they give Shawn? Aren't you dictating morality to them? Isn't that what a dictatorship does? As much as we hate that there are rich, greedy people in our country, we are still a free country. If we start dictating morality to people then who gets to decide what the measure of morality should be? For instance, If you earn more than $50,000 annually, you are in the top 1% of the worldโ€™s income earners. So again, who dictates how much money we make and what we do with our money?
  7. It seems to me the more effective solution would be to rework the tax plan so it doesn't allow the rich to LEGALLY take advantage of tax breaks. Then, if they do something illegal, punish them.
  8. Your generation seems to have lost what has always worked in our society.
  9. It's easy...The PEOPLE make the laws and the consequences to breaking the laws. People have a choice to obey or disobey the laws. If they choose to disobey the law they have to reap the consequences. If we have no consequences for breaking laws, we have chaos and a society who preys on the innocent law abiding people.
  10. I have to take issue with your comment about why Seattle (and other big cities) have become run over with homeless addicts. It is NOT because of the job crisis. Please Shawn, please do your research about this issue. I have done a lot of research on this issue because I am empathic to the homeless. The FACT of the matter is, we have plenty of shelters (good shelters) who are willing to help homeless people get on their feet. These shelters have openings BUT the people who are still on the streets don't want to go there. Why? Because there are rules to staying in these homes. They don't want to follow the rules. THEY CHOOSE to be on the streets. Most of the people on the streets today are heroin and meth addicts. They are attracted to Liberal cities because they can pretty much do what they want in broad daylight and not have any consequence. It surprises me that you don't know this. Yes, the cost of living has sky rocketed but that's not because of Conservative policies it's because of Liberal polices. High taxes means the buck gets passed to someone. So, if a person who owns and apartment building is charged high property taxes, then they have to pass that on to the renter. Plus, you want higher wages? Well, because of all the young people at big corps like Microsoft, Google, Amazon, etc...We have a lot of millionaires. So, the housing prices go up. Who make's the housing prices go up? All these companies are run by Liberals. So, if you hate big corp and big money then you shouldn't be a Liberal because you're feeding right into their control over you. Every action has a consequence so that's why neither extreme is good.
  11.
  12. Also, why is it that Republican run big cities don't have the same problems that Liberal run cities have?
  13.
  14. Please watch Seattle is Dying. This is a documentary by a liberal journalist. There are a lot of facts in this video and a pretty good solution that the New Hampshire has been doing for about 3 years with a lot of success (non-partisan).
  15.
  16. I was so alarmed by your comment to the video I sent about a possible Muslim religious take over in Minnesota schools. It upset me so much that I had to calm down and gather my thoughts. You do realize that this was not a video fighting against RACE but against Muslim religious indoctrination, right??? If you think the Muslim religious is a peaceful religion, you need to do some research. I have a Quran...I've read what they do to women, children, gays and what they think about infidels (Christians/Americans). Please research. I will speak more on this later. But, I want to know that you understand this religion before we discuss this any further.
  17. But, before I go, I just want you to know. There are peaceful Muslims (they don't really know their religion) and there are Muslims that follow the Quran (the extremists).
