Egg Show 2019 Entry: Kookie

I've always been a breeder at heart, raising Pokemon that I can be proud of and making sure I bring the best out of them, so when I've heard of the next egg show, I knew it was time for me to shine in my skills as a caretaker.

I chose my lucky number, 7! And from there I got an egg,I was surprised to see it in a lure ball, sweet!  I warmed it up with my beautiful shiny Macargo, which is one of my many flame body Pokemon along with my shiny Talonflame.

When she hatched, all I can say was 'Awwwh!' because it was a rather adorable Pokemon. A Krabby!

Naturally, since it was a female, I gave her the name Kookie, after the sounds it makes in the anime. (Original, I know.)

Taking a look at the egg moves and IVs, I was pleasantly surprised to see that it had a plethora of egg moves, including the most useful, Agility. It also had Sheer Force, just my luck! Though when I saw the IVs were 0 across the board,I was determined to get them to where they should be, so immediately, I got to work. First, I had to give Kookie the ever so useful Pokerus, which usually, I turn the EXP Share off and battle a couple of Pokemon with a Pokemon that will pass the Pokerus onto the Pokemon I EV train. (Even got a shiny Mudbray during one of my sessions!)

Then came the EV training itself, I turned my EXP Share back on again as I had my Mew help me out with false swiping and taking out mons. First was Attack EVs. Naturally we fought some Mudbray first, 8 Mudbrays was all it took to get 252 EVs for little Kookie, while also gaining at least 10 levels from the start. Not bad!

Next was speed, though with Mew, it's a little tricky, since I couldn't find any Buneary, I went with the next best pokemon, Cutiefly. Though it took longer then I thought to find it since sometimes whenever I want to find a pokemon, it doesn't appear for me for awhile.We did eventually find it, and false swipe it. Though the tricky thing is, I got to make sure it doesn't use stun spore, as Mew will Sync it to the Cutiefly and it won't call for help after that. I ended up lucky, as it didn't do it once, and I defeated around 7.

Then came HP, though this is where I realized my error, earlier I didn't get all the Speed EVs, so I had more HP then usual. Since I didn't have HP reducing berries, I had to get Kookie over to Bellia. (My sun copy.) There, she ate some berries to reduce her HP EVs and trained with Bellia's event shiny Metagross from gen 6. She managed to get the rest of her Speed EVs maxed and was traded back over to me.

Before going for the last 4 EVs, I took a quick trip to the Battle Tree, spending my hard earned BP (battle points) on some new moves for Kookie. She got the following along with a Life orb, and PP Maxed all her moves right after!
-Liquidation
-Knock Off
-Superpower

Now, the real task, grinding to level 100. Since Kookie neded HP Evs, it wasn't gonna matter too much, as I was going to be killing a lot of Chansey for levels, which give out HP EVs anyways. I placed her with 4 other Pokemon, since they needed training too. Of course, Kookie was the first to receive her Rainbow Pokebeans,which maxed out her Affection, adoring me for the great treats I gave her.
Once I gave everyone a Lucky Egg, the grind only took about 2 days to complete, and Kookie made it to level 100, evolving into a beautiful Kingler.

Before we got to battling, I took a trip to the IV Training guy to get Kookie's IVs to 31. I used 5 of my bottle caps, and now Kookie is fully ready for competitive!

Next up, I had to make her look more, complete. So it was time to gather some ribbons! First and foremost, the Alola league! I paired her up with some of my other level 100s, such as Lele, Lopunny, etc. I made sure to let Kookie get a lot of battle action, as Agility+Liquidation tore apart a lot of the teams. After defeating Hau and defending our Champion title, Kookie got her first ribbon, the Alola Champion Ribbon! Awesome!

Next up was the Best Friends Ribbon, this one I just had to go over to the Malie City's Community Center to pick up since earlier I gave her Rainbow beans. And might I say, she looks really nice in pink. (Will show later.)

Next was the Effort Ribbon, this one took a little while to find since it was a the Battle Royal. I checked the Fan Club first, and the gentleman there thought that me and Kookie had such a tight bond, he gave us a special frame for the Photo Club. Neat!
Next was the Malasada shop, no word about the ribbon, though when I tried to get a malasada for Kookie, it seems that she was still full from the Rainbow beans. Ah well. On the way as I talked with others, there was a little boy that seemed to have confidence issues. I spoke with him and decribed my time in the Battle Royal, it seemed to have worked, he said it boosted his confidence, it really did make me feel proud that I can cheer others up, put a bright smile on my face after that. Soon we got into the dorm, and there was the lady in green. Since I EV Trained my Kookie beforehand, she gave us the Effort ribbon without fail!

On the way to get the final ribbon, the Footprint ribbon, I talked to a girl who said a wedding was going on, awwwh! Of course I said yes to attend, it was a lovely pair of Pikachu, again, very VERY Adorable to see! After that, we headed inside the Hano Grand Resort, where a man was waiting for us, due to Kookie being level 100, he gave us the Footprint Ribbon!

Before I planned to turn her in, I decided to have a little fun before she is returned. We went right to the Photo Club, where I haven't been in forever. The lady actually gave me a lot of stickers for defeating trials, winning the league, and beating Rainbow Rocket. It took quite a few poses to get right, but soon enough I got it, and placed alot of adorable stickers. Congrats to you Kookie, it's been a blast raising you, and I hope our future will shine bright in battle!
