- Hello, my name is go fuck yourself I’m not using my real name lol, I’m known on the internet as Kurineko, and what a quick google search of that name will tell you, I am many things, including irresponsible with my online data, you could probably figure out where I live which now makes the earlier joke completely pointless; anyhow. Something I’m not, is responsible with my studies; whether my deteriorated mental state is real or just another excuse I give myself, I haven’t been able to study for this scholarship even if my life depended on it, and it does, that’s the life I want. But I wanted to apply this year (2020), and even though as of this fucking second I’m in the middle of the quarantine and I still don’t know what’s gonna happen to the admission to this year’s scholarship into MEXT, I tried studying since about half a year ago, and I gave up much before today, I reached my limit because of personal, financial and mental reasons, it devastated me to give up like that, but then with some help of my mom and girlfriend I realized reapplying next year wasn’t so bad (I just really want to get out of the place I’m residing at the moment for multiple reasons). And so here I am ready for a full year of studying to attempt to get into this scholarship
- This document has a few purposes, I want it to be a time capsule of my achievements, and a dictionary of my knowledge, I’m also using it as a means to motivate myself to study because I realized that being comical and doing this for others instead of myself really eases things a lot, which brings me to my last reason, to help you pass this exam as well. As of me writing this I’ve worked on this document for 80 minutes of which half of the time was spent trying to use the insert equation function and the other half trying to draw a graph using insert shape doodle. I don’t know how well this document will help you, I don’t even know if it will help me; you are either reading this and I succeeded or you are not and these words will be forever forgotten in one of my hard drives to never be seen again.
- This isn’t a formal document as you can probably tell, there may be grammatical errors and such, but I’ll do my best job to synthesize the information accurately from my sources (which I will now proceed to name)
- This all started with this video by a fellow legend who won MEXT scholarship in 2017, and looking at the comments he mentions this video was recorded (or at least uploaded) when he was on his second month in japan, I salute you. If you go to the description, he lists all the books and resources he used to study (which I’ll also place at the end of the page incase the video doesn’t exist anymore). And so I got a hold of almost all the resources he cites, got advice from some of my ex-teachers and I’m going to toooown (My resources).
- This Document will contain direct citation I will not properly refer to from the books as well as some commentary and opinions, perspectives and the most dynamic and casual language I can use to describe what is going on. I will mostly include the things I don’t as of right now fully know or remember how to solve, or just important things to remember, I’ll try to include all the exercises I solve on my own with links and etc, probably not solved, maybe I’ll include the solutions if I can. If you need more help solving some of the problems F.
- As for motivation, I sometimes put these videos on the background while I study or watch them first thing in the morning. I made an excel spreadsheet (tutorial) with all of the subjects from all of the books ill study and divided with the days from “today” (whichever day today is) till the first of May 2021 giving me how many subjects I must complete a day to be done by then, physics right now is around 7 a day with my current deadline, since I want some days off I must do more than that a day to meet the deadline, wish me luck
- This is more for me rn than for you: Persist, survive, move forward a bit every day, you’ll make it
