Because while his other mods usually just blindly agree with him in fear of getting demoted, I'm always the one that argues with him about server policies because I always want to do what I think is in the best interests of the server, so he's been getting annoyed with me for a long time now. The most notable example of this is arguments about allowing people using "nigga" because that version of the word isn't offensive whatsoever, but he refuses to budge on that front. Additionally, I put up the mod vote for you, Wong, and Hunter while he was offline and he got angry because he wanted to do the mod vote instead. He got annoyed with the whole thing about the BL Ubers council. Then, the most significant thing and the thing that ultimately led to my demotion from BBB is when I banned Duncan due to the consensus that the server mods had reached when I was offline. After that, NJNP got mad at me and demoted me to Sony. NJNP then proceeded to unban Duncan without telling me and he decided to raid the server about a minute after he was unbanned. Following the raid, NJNP told me in modchat "just ban him" (you can look this up if you don't believe me) and I banned Duncan from the server. However, after that NJNP changed his mind and revoked the ban for Duncan because of a conversation they had ages ago where he said he would give Duncan a role that prevented moderators from banning him. I then pointed out that said conversation never mentioned a taboo on banning Duncan and that an admin banned him regardless and banned him the next time he joined the server to prevent an uprising against server regulars that literally cheered after he was banned. Then, NJNP decided to kick me from the server and demote me without warning, at which point he told me that Duncan was threatening to take down the server. I told him that Duncan should've stayed banned for a day while him and NJNP talked out their issues so that the server would have time to calm down for the chaos that happened earlier since Discord can't examine and take down a server in a day, but at that point he was past caring and told me I wasn't getting mod or admin back, so I left the server because everything that I was doing was in the server's best interests and obviously he couldn't see that.
