The Brave LilLucio Vod Review

Hi, Speed boop here, the guy who wrote the equivalent of a college essay about a black dj frog man in a video game. Today's subject of scrutiny is LilLucio, who willingly sent in a vod review so I didn't have to beg people again. To start, LilLucio is fairly close to me sr wise. I usually struggle with these types of reviews, but I'm glad to say that I think I have enough material to work with. So overall, I have stuff to insult this man with. Hallelujah. On to the review.

At the beginning of the round and the first point in general, I was smiling from side to side. You used all of your abilities well, were correctly positioned, and had good focus and worked around your team. All I can really harp on is your over focus on the Symm, as you really got way to into murdering her. I mean, it fits with the lore, but you shouldn't do that in practice. Btw, this puts around 2:20 into the video to anyone watching. After that, while tackling a junkrat and managing a genji, you repositioned for no apparent reason, as you simply went back to where you were. This does play into a bigger issue, but I'll simply say overall that you shouldn't move simply if you are going to end up where you started. The push forward was ok. The balance of aura usage, which I will also get to later, is admirable and really helpful to your team. While your team does carry the fight, you still tried to do as much as you could to help in that. From about 3:15 to 3:45, you ride the payload. I don't have too much of an issue, as you simply wanted to keep pushing it forward and felt that it was necessary. What I really like is you watching you team while you do this. The boop on the zarya was just good. In fact the later boop on the Moira, while simplistic, shows to me that you have an understanding and have practiced the ability. Well, most of it. Again, I will discuss this later. Jeez I'm doing a lot of stalling on this one. From then on to the taking of point B, there is not much to comment on as you simply were rolling back to point. Now lets get to some discussion.

I have to commend you greatly for how you play. In a lot of these vod reviews, the players are extremely passive and extremely heal based. This is painful and is a big issue that takes a lot of time to solve. So I'm proud to say that your aura usage is up to par with your sr. But there's a catch to that. I usually tell people to focus their playstyle around passive or aggressive behavior,and to center themselves around the perspective auras. While it is unbalanced, it's important to distinguishing your play. To me, you are a paradox, as you seem to be playing right in the middle and are relishing in it. It is extremely admirable and shows a level of understanding. Sadly, it also hinders you in some situations. No matter what, the reason you try and choose a focus of aggressive and passive is to understand what you are able to commit to and what you should try and focus on learning. I know this will surround weird, but you're playing flex lucio. And due to this lack of focus, it's going to be hard to know what to commit to. This becomes a lot more prevalent in later rounds, but I felt I should discuss it now to give you some preparation. But if you can get a better understanding of commitment, you will do much better in these games.

Lets actually get into the third round. I do like you taxiing, but at the same time, I think you didn't really need to. D.va and the rest of your team is fairly mobile. Also, just to catch up on the time, I'm currently at 4:30 in the vod.  What starts to happen is that you get fairly heal reliant and get too aggressive at the same time. While I have been commending you on balanced, the scale is starting to tip. In fact, your gameplay starts to collapse overall. The amount of mistakes and errors of both focus and aura usage are occuring at a much higher rate than before. Your death to the Moira around 5:40 is both problematic and funny. I hate Moira just as much as the other Lucio mains, but you have to accept when you fucked up and are letting her kill you. If this was an attempt to bait her into your team, congratulations, you got her. While I don't pinpoint the blame on you, your team starts to fall apart as the junk rat starts doing more and more to your team. Your death to the tire is another puzzle piece of a much larger issue, but I'll get to that after the round.
