"Ezra! Wait!" I hesitate just for a second before chasing after her. No telling where she's running off to, need to catcher her quickly.

I sprint away, towards the entrance, my thoughts a whirl of self blame, crushing sorrow, and confusion which doesn't give me time to process Lily's words.

"Please!" Pushing myself harder as I try to catch up to her, she'll get lost if she doesn't stop running at the house. "Ezra!"

"1'm s<>rry! 1'm s<> s<>rry!" I shout as I race down the hallway.

"For what?" I shout back, what could she be talking about? She hasn't actually done anything yet, right?

"1'm s<> s<>rry L1ly! <>h g<>d, 1'm such a terr1ble fr1end!" I yell as I round the corner before pelting down the next hallway.

"What? I'm the one who's being a terrible friend!" We're almost to the void-black place. Oh no, could she try to loose me in there?
Wait, friend? Why is she still going with the friend thing? She's going to betray me!

I race along the hallway through the void door still crying.

"Ouch!" That must have hurt, the Dolphin's houses aren't soft. I stop to catch my breath for a second, then move over to Ezra.
I try to position myself so she can't just bolt when she wakes up.

"You ran right into one of the Dolphin houses, it knocked you out." I extend a hand to help her out. She's hurt, I can't just leave her here, even if she could betray me any time.
"How bad is it?"

I reach out and take Lily's hand, "Uhm, 1'm n<>t sure, 1 d<>n't th1nk 1t's t<><> bad!"

"I-it's okay, I-i-i" I can't finish my sentence. Conflicting emotions rage in my chest, one part wants to forgive Ezra, to forgot about the letter. But I can't just forget something like that.

"L1ly... 1- um," I gulp before continuing, "d<> y<>u hate me?!"

"I-i um..." I don't think it's quite hate, distrust, but not hate. "No, I don't hate you. I just..."
Can I tell her? She would just deny it!

"It's not anger!" Can i trust her? What has she done to earn it? But... what has she done to lose it? "I-it has to do with the letter, do you have an idea about what might be on it?" There should be some kind of reaction in her eyes right? If she actually knows?
I try to gauge her reaction to what I just said.

I look at Lily confused for a moment before I remember the letter which I had forgotten in my whirlwind of emotions. "<>h the letter?! N<> 1 d<>n't kn<>w anyth1ng ab<>ut 1t, what d1d 1t say?!"

"Can you try to guess? Please." She has to know, right?

"...Kinda, that was a part of it. Second try?" I wince as I speak, I don't want to give too much away, but if she really can't guess... she could be lying still. Or not?

"Uhm," I think harder, Lily mentioned that she was worried I was terrible like the game and she asked me if I had killed anyone.

"I-i..." I start tearing up a little bit. Close enough. "It said you would betray me. It said you would..." I can't find the words. Too late now, she knows. The tears begin to flow freely now, "I..." collapsing into my hands, I sob freely.

I reach out a hand to try to comfort her, feeling shocked and confused that she would even suspect me of that.

"No! I mean, I didn't! But this game..." How to explain? "Almost right before I entered, m-my father he..." A fresh bout of tears come streaming out. "He attacked me, covered in blood, looking crazy, crazy and smiling. I was so scared! He was gonna kill me..." I manage to choke out.

"<>h L1ly!" I shout as I rush down and hug her close, "1'm s<> s<>rry! That must have been awful f<>r y<>u!"

This time, I barely notice the hug, continuing to cry freely. "Bubby, someone took him next, while I watched Dolphins sacrifice each other. I-i don't want t-to lose someone again. I was so scared that I would never have anyone, just D-DGS laughing..." My voice trails off, not sure what else to say.

Thoughts of betrayal still bouncing around in my head, but I'm able to shove them back. Even if she will, I can be prepared. I need this right now, someone to help. "Thanks. Maybe we should get your head patched up first though." I manage a halfhearted chuckle, wiping some of my tears away as I do.

"Not on me..." I think for a second. "There should be some back at the house, usually in the kitchen." Hoisting myself up, I look for where the sun is, to figure how to get back.
