Anon x Asriel "growth"

>You blink twice and sniff the air, you get a feeling someone is watching you. Turning on your side you see a pair of soft red eyes and a handsome, fanged smile staring back at you. "Dude what are you doing?" Asriel sighs softly "Lookin' at you" he leans forward to give you a soft kiss. Your cheeks immediately flare up "G-go to bed Az" he chuckled warmly at that. It seems everything he does has an air of seduction an yet such gentleness, one of the many reasons you fell for him.
You reach up and flick off your light, shrouding both of you in comfortable darkness.

>You wake up feeling cold. Your feet that were once rubbing up next to his were left to bare the cold air alone, your face had also now lost the comfort of his warm chest fluff. The sheets next to you barely hold any residual heat left. It seems Asriel left a while ago, not too long but enough to rouse your senses. You curl up trying to keep warm for a few minutes before you begin to wonder where Asriel is. Surely if this was a routine bathroom break it would've landed him in bed next to you again by now.

>You look over to the bathroom door, expecting to see a dim glow emitting from underneath the door giving the carpet a warm haze. Only the door is wide open and the bathroom is picth black. You grow a little concerned "Azz...?" You sit straight up on your bed and try again "Asriel?"

>You hop out of bed and begin to search your house growing increasingly worried. The cold air that only seems to decrease in temperature is strange as you find that the thermostat is attempting to get to an average level. "Azzy? Come on honey you're scaring me...babe?"

>Following through you end up just outside the kitchen, without thinking you walk in on the icy tiles that immediately send you jumping back to the carpet. you quickly look for some kind of protection and see Ariel's slides, Angel what a dork "we are going to have a serious conversation about your clothing choices when I find you..." Slipping them on you walk to the middle of the kitchen and notice that the back door is wide open. Icy winter air blows carelessly and yet powerfully through, blanketing it's surroundings in a thin sheet of frost. Realizing what you have to do you offer a quick prayer "Angel above give me strength...give me strength TO NOT WHOOP ASRIEL'S ASS FOR LEAVING THE DOOR OPEN!...Just bring him home safe...I have no idea there he's going or why..." You slam the door shut to quickly prepare yourself for the task ahead.

>You slip on boots and a jacket before once again facing the backdoor, you open it and quickly rush out.  "Asriel!!!" The wind answers back in ominous tune, followed by the sounds of groaning trees. Scared but determined you trudge forward through a thin layer of snow-capped Earth.

>Little time passes before you see a large green vine completely separated from the brown and white winter cover. Upon closer inspection you note that it is covered in large red thorns. "Wh-what the hell?" You shake your head and cautiously step over the growth and continue forward, wanting to put distance between you and that...thing. After walking a little ways you realize you forgot a flashlight, though the moon is giving off enough light to see the way ahead. The path reveals more of these vines snaking across the way. Directly above you hear the groans of a tree bending, looking in the direction of the noise you see the growth coiled around a large tree, twisting it and snapping the base. The tree is torn into ugly twisted chunks before the vines slowly fall back down. "Just go home Anon...this isn't real just go home, just go home..." You begin to move further into the forest.

>"Asriel!?" You call again, it almost seems that the vines receed a bit into the darkness. You let out a scared whimper and start to shake "Oh Asriel you'd better be here..." You begin to hear a soft choking sound, it's very muffled and almost sounds like gargling at times. When you look down you see flowers and plant growth writhing and emitting the noise, it sounds almost like...no it couldn't be him, that doesn't make any sense...right? You knees become weak but continue to carry you forward through the forest, almost working off instinct and refusing your will to turn back. Trying to cope with your increasing fear you find it somewhat comforting to stare at your icy breath in the cold air as you walk, barely distracting you from the pulsing plants and sounds of muffled suffocation around you.

>You keep up a brisk pace on your way to find Asriel until a horrible stench assails your nostrils. "Oh fuck...ASRIEL!!" You inch closer towards the ordor. "Oh Angel please be ok, please...please" you come across a strange looking pinkish plant that becomes redder near the core. It almost looks to be covered in fur. "Wait this...Dead horse?" You breathe a sigh of relief, just a flower... "you're one ugly bugger aren't you?"

>"Anon?" You hear a familiar voice and then gasp in horror as blood carrying bits of white fur spills out of the abomination. Turning your head away you begin to let out pained and frightened tears "No, that's not him, it's not him! It's not real it's...I don't believe it!" The smell of blood and rotting flesh only becomes more fowl causing your survival instincts to propel you body forward, after running about thirty meters or so you trip on one of the vines, you tumbler and crash into the muddy Earth. Your body Curls up, your senses are all but knocked off balance as you struggle to get up, your eyes are instinctively holding themselves shut for a brief moment expecting the end to come from some horrible abomination.

>"NOO HELP, ASRIEL HELP!!"
Suddenly you feel a calming presence approach you putting your mind at ease. As much as it can be anyway "Hey, what's wrong?" You open your eyes to see a small goat boy standing on a log above you. "W-who the...WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON!!!" the tiny goats face changes to one of disappointment and shock "H-hey, you shouldn't say that word...my name's Asriel, I'm glad to meet you!" He offers a hand and helps you up. "I'm Anon...Asriel's boyfriend..." The young goat looks surprised "Oh...well you better find me before I do something bad..." Your face scrunches up in confusion, and your eyebrows are almost audibly furrowing "What? Who are you really and where's my Asriel!?" The little goat grabs your hands "close your eyes and think of where I am now" You do as instructed, still a little shooken up from before.

> It's a warm day in spring, the sun is setting causing a red orange glow to fill the sky and bathes you and Asriel in a similar haze "Y'know I'm glad you agreed to move in with me, I'd miss this forest too much otherwise haha!" You smile and give his paw a squeeze "I used to come here when I needed to think...but now it can be our little paradise...that'd be nice don't you think?" You groan dramatically "You're so corney Az!" He chuckles at that "Yeah maybe you're right...but I'm glad I can be that way around you...I love you...Anon" you lean into him smiling without a care in the world, enjoying the warm light that glistens of his snowy fur.

>As the memory fades and a freezing darkness consumes your surroundings a tear rolls down your cheek and your eyes dart open in the direction you know Asriel to be "Over there, he's-" you look back to the owner of the fluffy paws you're clinging to but there's no one. Your nose twitches and you look back in Asriel's direction, "I'm coming babe..." You quickly hike up a small ridge and see a familiar medow now covered in plant growth. "Asr-!" You see him...

>In the middle of the growth you see him face down and crying. Vines are writhing and twisting around his body, little yellow flowers are sprouting out of his back and have torn the flesh around his spine, making it clearly visible to you. you run and slide in the dirt by his side. You turn him over and look at him. "Asriel what's happening!?"

>"Help me...please" a thorned vine twirls around his neck and starts to squeeze slowly. "ASRIEL, WHAT DO I DO!?" another thorned vine wraps around his arm and slowly bends it until you hear the sound of bone snapping followed by Asriel screaming out in pain. You try to get it loose but don't have much effect on it "Oh shit...shit, shit shit fuck! Asriel come on!" You just hold him and cry into his shoulder, hoping this will end. Suddenly and to your amazment the vines loosen their grip and receed more. "Asriel...you're fighting it!" You watch as the vine around his neck slithers back but still leaving imprints in him from the thorns.

>You squeeze your eyes shut and tell Asriel how much you love him, and you tell him that he's strong and can beat this. Your eyes shut tight and you hear the sounds of plants ripping through the forest towards you, followed by many unholy noises you're glad you couldn't see.

>Eventually it's just him laying in your arms. "You did it honey...you did it..." Asriel looks up to you, his wounds are healed but his cloak is still soaked in his blood "No..you did it...you saved me" Asriel smiles weakly but it's quickly dominated by a prominent sorrowful frown "I-I'm so sorry you had to see that...I just-" "How come you didn't tell me before!? We could've gotten you help! And what the hell was all that shit back there!?" Asriel pushes his muzzle into your chest for a moment then reels back to sit up straight "Anon...I try to fight it...every day I do...I'm a bad man Anon, the things I've done...you wouldn't forgive" Asriel chokes on his words, trying to hold back tears "And....a-and yet something gave me a second chance...sometimes I just want to die and stay dead! I was...like this, for so long" You can't see it now but you know he was talking about about all that strange growth.

>Even so you can't believe what you're hearing from him, tears are fighting their way to break the dam in your eyes. "This outer world...the Sun, Moon, and stars..." Asriel's lip quivers "And you...it's all so beautiful...and I don't deserve it I know it!" Tears begin streaming down your cheeks and you notice the sun start to rise in the horizon.
