  1. Archive 4 = LONELYSOUL
  2. [Soulbound Neokind]
  3. "As a part of the culture of Neokind, we become soulbound to another. The match is pre-determined and always perfect. Two halves of one whole. The connection is optimised and the two halves feel an unbreakable obsession with each other. It is spiritual and transcends the material world. Neokind do not die, but if they did then the results for the other half would be fatal.
  4. If they have matured enough to access the maximum potential of the abilities, then a disconnect from their soulmate would trigger a cataclysmic grief. The result would be self-destruction. This would be considered a form of self-induced mercy killing, as existence without the other would be a perpetual torture."

  7. [Use of Emerythium]
  8. Neokind were a species at the peak of development. They knew the Hyperverse and Emerythium, but decided to treat its usage with care so as to not perversely manipulate or dilute their own culture. They used it not only to provide themselves with aforementioned abilities, but also to exact justice.
  9. Typically, they had grown above such things, there was no crime in a traditional sense, but in the event that the sanctity of the culture had been violated by one of their own, they would be cast down, thrown in to the well of the void, where they would be removed from the verse and the soul would be forced to drift until it found a new place to settle. Being so interconnected with Emerythium, as beings they were almost perpetual, though not invincible. Though their abilities did not allow them to travel across verses on command, they were able to survive traversing the void in spirit, but not in any physical form.
  10. (Entropy has experienced this repeatedly).

  12. Archive 6 = RESOLUTION
  13. [Destiny Falls]
  14. A tragic tale begins where Destine, the early Farseer, stumbled on a feeling - a cry from the void. It called out to them. It was desperate and intensely confused. Destine embraced the call, entranced in a moment of sympathy, and reached out to comfort the chaotic soul. Temporarily, it allowed a connection between the verse of the Neokind and the soul from the void. It was in Destine's head, and possessed by the confusion, Destine unwillingly used their abilities to violate, destroy and deform the world around them. No one was killed - Neokind cannot kill each other, but the sanctity of the verse had been violated and as such, Destine had broken the laws of the preservation of culture.
  15. What was done could not be undone - it had become written in history - a crack in an otherwise perfect slate.

  17. Archive 7 = AWAKENINGS
  18. [The Disconnect]
  19. A punishment on one is a punishment on the other. Destine was thrown to the void and the soulmate could do nothing but observe and feel them slowly disappear, though not in entirety. The connection to Emerythium meant that they could still feel each other, though only as a faint whisper of feeling. They were no longer on the same timeline, no longer suspended in the same ocean of being. Had the connection been completely severed, then they would have self-destructed in an intense burst of mourning. That didn't happen. The whisper remained and as such the suffering began and persisted, holding out a false hope for reconnection.
  20. Destine drifted and the soulmate wailed and cried to their reality for purpose. All feeling in Neokind was a celebration of the beauty of existence, so other members of the verse sympathetically undulated in sorrow with them.

  22. Archive 8 = RECOVERING
  23. [Survival]
  24. A soul with no physical form is limited in what it can do.
  25. A soul with no body to supplement it will not last forever - a ghost in the system. To survive, they would need to create themselves a form. For Neokind, the majority of their abilities were allowed by using their Emerythium-infused bodies as a catalyst. As a dislocated soul, this capability is lost, but some power remains. Emerythium remembers, it thinks and feels and responds to intention. The fading Destine knew this and taking advantage of their own willpower, they imprinted what they could of their soul onto the brain of a small child in a quiet and isolated verse. Thereafter, most of their soul would dissipate into the ocean of the void, and what remained was a small light, barely perceptible, sitting in the mind of a child.
  26. As the child grew, they would likely not remember much of Destine's part, but the connection would still be there, and the soulmate would still be able to feel the faintest glow somewhere out in the recesses of the void.

  28. Archive 9 = LOSTINVOID
  29. [Reawakening]
  30. The story of the child is one of an emotional re-awakening. They did rediscover who they were, and in doing so let in the floods of frustration and anger, heartbreak and strife. They were trapped in this other verse, in a completely different ocean of material and time to their soulmate.
  31. They cursed the nature of reality and the Hyperverse, and vowed to overcome it. That is what they set out to do.
  32.
  33. "Understand that this is a conviction to me that cannot be silenced. I found my place in the new reality yet refused to accept its rules. I fought against impossibility, in futile strides. I hit against the walls, and still they didn't move. I hit again and again, and I never cared to stop my relentless onslaught.
  34.
  35. Against my will, I was made to recondition myself and fit into the new life, burdening the strife of my loss. My spirit would not cease its mourning. I was trapped in a forseeable eternity.
  36.
  37. I was a fallen angel, imprisoned by capabilities far beyond the memoty of my understanding. Living my life in this place, I would never let go of eternity, despite all my fading memories. Slowly consolidating my ancient entirety into the mind of this mortal casket.
  38. As my soul dissolved, I tried with great difficulty to grasp for what remained. Frustration was overpowering, and I dedicated myself to finding a way to overcome and overpower the boundaries that had been raised around me."
  39.
  40. Archive 10 = HYPERVERSE
  41. [Quest for Answers]
  42. They had an advantage - they remembered knowledge of the very aspect of nature that gave Neokind their ability in the first place. Destine ventured and discovered Emerythium, then used it to knock on the gates of heaven.
  43. In protest of their struggles, they vowed to set people free of their boundaries - with the belief that love should know no boundaries.
  44. As such, Makama was born, an organised network intended to connect the Hyperverse.
  45.
  46. Destine did not stop with this, however, as resolution to their lack of power was not enough to justify their strife. They wanted answers - answers to why such situations were allowed to exist in the first place. What kind of ultimate creators would build a Hyperverse in which such heartache was possible?
  47. Such began the quest for Silatanum.
