what consequence is worse than having to live with your actions? The guilt can burn just as deep as knife. Charlie has committed a million attrocities and even her supposed girlfriend is afraid of being near her.
Charlie's going to have to live with that and lets be honest Hell needs a figure head and no one else is fit to lead.

This is a medieval-style "ruler in name only" situation. Charlie gets to sit on the throne and keep her title because it's more palatable to make it look like the usual line of succession is unbroken and everything is fine thanks to some helpful folks "taking up arms not to depose the queen, but merely to instruct her". In reality, Charlie is just slapping a stamp of old time legitimacy on whatever the council of angels and friends tells her, all the while stewing in the knowledge that everyone around her is utterly disgusted by her and she could be killed at any moment.

I always find it funny when the tables are turned and the one who was once feared is now the one who gets to fear for their life.
That's some extreme justice I'd say.

More than that, in this scenario she's watching everything she used to dream about, then gave up on in her grief and rage, come to fruition. She's being tortured by the knowledge that she got what she wanted inthe first place by giving up on it and shooting for the opposite so hard that everyone turned on her.

Not been here long, what happened to Alastor in this canon?

Charlie sentenced Alistor's suger daddy demon to death in the abyss and Alistor faded from existence because of this.

Charlie had his patron demon, the source of his power, executed as a threat to her rule. Without them, Alastor was just another sinner, and having given up on the idea of giving everyone another chance, Charlie just tossed him in with the next batch of sinners to get liquidated.

My, how very sad. Shame, lot of ways to use Alastor in such a setting.

Alistor was a threat in Charlie's eyes, she couldn't suffer her rule being tampered with. Even with his uses he's too unpredictable and was not worth the effort.

He also had his past of kicking over strongmen just for kicks, with no ambitions for conventional overlord roles, in particular. Even if you take away all his "never been harnessed by a mortal soul before"-bullcrap powers, he still has that sociopathic "I'll break things and make mayhem just for laughs" thing going on. He'd just be too obvious of a spanner in the gears. The second he found some new source of power, he'd be wrecking shit not out of any concrete goal but just because he likes watching kings fall out of their thrones, and so into the void he goes with the rest of the trash.

She wouldn't be completely alone, though.
Fairly certain Solagne would come around every once in a while to keep the soul in her, so to speak.

Ironically Solagne is her only saving grace, but keep in mind this is also the woman that killed her mother and technically started all of this.

Well directly, it is Solagne-s fault since she assassinated Lilith, but she had about as much control of herself as a crack baby at that point. Really, it's ultimately Adina's fault for thinking that the ends justify the means and that makes it okay to create an angel whose sole purpose for existing is mass murder of anyone her master decides is unworthy.

That's why she does it.
She feels immense guilt about, and wants to rehabilitate Charlie the most, but the others won't let her, so she does what she considers the second best option: keep her company, and assure her that she won't be alone.

Well, Adina's still stuck, chilling in Satan's ice pit, so her punishment has been long doled out.

What did anon do?
Asmodeus was killed and anon inherited his estate and presumably his duties
But with charlies regime, would that stuff be tolerated?

well theres two ways we could go about this
option 1: He becomes a recluse and typically stays in his abode only to come out when he is needed to fulfill his princely duties.
or option 2: He secretly has been bankrolling Solagne's Happy Hotel and has convinced many other higher authorites such as Octavia into working along side him in there endeavors.
I kinda like option 2 more so I'll stick with that one.

Swears alliance to Charlie, and then has jack diddly squat to do.
Maybe keep a large "entourage" of imps and other native hellborne on his estate so that they won't become parts of the Queen's cyborg army, and retain their natural state.


Speaking of which, I wonder how this Anon would fare in the OTHER version of the D.Charlie timeline.
The one where, instead of effectively establishing the Burgundian System, it becomes a mixture of Brave New World and "We"?

If he had any brains, he'd immediately swear allegiance to Charlie and become the poster child for her state-mandated permahappy so that he didn't get any holes drilled in his head.

He was only powerful because he had his eldritch sugardaddy, and once that got destroyed, he was just a normal sinner, and a rather destructive one at that.
He'd basically try to do the same as Cherri did, but without any heroic motives.

It was better to get rid of him.
