- - The game can be highly stressful for your thumb, at least if you're
- trying to maximize dps. I highly recommend you compromise for the sake
- of your health and keep the rapid button-mashing as minimal as possible.
- The Auto Earrings help quite a bit, although simply holding down a button
- for extended periods is fairly stressful as well.
- - There are six difficulty levels: Casual, Novice, Normal, Hard, Hell
- and Bunny Extinction.
- - I always play the game on Casual, as it's the only difficulty level
- where I don't have to constantly rely on Halo Boost. If you're just
- going to use Halo Boost in every boss, then you might as well just drop
- the difficulty level.
- - Enemies become stronger as you progress through the game. Additionally,
- at the beginning of the game, you can choose between two scaling settings:
- Standard and Alternative. Standard scales bosses heavily depending on
- your item rate, whereas Alternative does not.
- - I use Standard scaling and avoid picking up almost any Mana and Regen
- upgrades in order to temper the scaling (and to capitalize on the Fire
- Orb). I also avoid all non-essential power ups (Hammer Roll, Charge Ring,
- all shot types except Red).
- - Your equipped badges also have an impact on boss levels. Try to limit
- yourself to only the essential ones (Arm Strength, status immunity).
- - You'll pretty much always get a checkpoint before a boss.
- - After getting a few game overs, the game offers to help you out by
- giving you 'Halo Boost,' a status effect that reduces damage. Halo
- Boost has three levels, and you can get a higher level one by getting
- more game overs. If a boss is giving you a lot of trouble, don't hesitate
- to game over intentionally in order to get Halo Boost Lv3.
- - Boss behavior changes once their HP falls below certain thresholds.
- Generally, this means they start using new attacks.
- - Becoming familiar with bosses' attacks could take quite a while, as
- each boss has around 20 different attacks, and there are about 40 bosses.
- On Casual, you can take a lot of hits, so you don't really need to bother.
- - Many of your attacks consume stamina (SP). SP recharges faster if you
- completely run out, but you won't be able to do SP consuming actions
- until it's full again.
- - Many of your attacks trigger hit invincibility (usually 1 second).
- Hitting enemies when they're not attacking will stun them until your
- attack/combo is over.
- - Hitting bosses repeatedly with physical attacks can easily result in
- your attacks being deflected (because, you know, apparently the game
- wasn't 'balanced' enough already).
- - The Ribbon Shot doesn't consume SP, and only charge shots consume MP.
- Hitting enemies with the Ribbon Shot doesn't trigger any invincibility.
- There's no on-screen bullet limit, but instead there's a "magazine"
- limit (3 by default) and a "reload" speed (about half a second if you
- shoot at least 3 shots, *much* longer if you shoot fewer).
- - Erina's damage hit box is quite small and located in her mid-torso.
- Getting hit makes you invincible for 2 seconds or 2,35 seconds (varies
- depending on the attack).
- - Erina's environmental collision hit box is 1x2 tiles (a little short
- of 2).
- - The five stat upgrades are: Health Up, Mana Up, Regen Up, PP Up and
- Attack Up.
- - Health Up (Red): HP +20 (default: 50, max: 1309)
- - Mana Up (Blue): MP +5, SP +1,5%, Boost gen. +3%, (default MP: 40,
- max: 240)
- - Regen Up (Green): MP regen +5%, SP +2,5%, Bunny Amulet rec. +1
- - Pack Up (Yellow): PP +3 (default: , max: 99)
- - Attack Up (Purple): Hammer dmg +5%, Bomb dmg +10%, Shot dmg +2,5%
- - HP also increases by 1% for each town member.
- - MP is used for charge shots and boost attacks.
- - The game doesn't give you any absolute figures when it comes to SP.
- - PP determines how many badges you can equip. PP increases by 1 for
- each town member.
- - Some power ups can be upgraded at the shop. In the item menu, the
- current level of the power up is indicated by the purple circle next
- to it. At Lv1, it's just a purple circle. At Lv2, there's a lighter
- purple circle within that circle. At Lv3, there's one more, smaller
- circle (almost white).
- - You can enable and disable power ups in the item menu. You can't do
- so during bosses.
- - I recommend turning off Hammer Roll and all shot types you don't
- really use.
- - Enabling or disabling a power up sets Ribbon's shot to Blue.
- - There are three healing items:
- - Rumi Donut: 20% HP, 100% SP/MP/BP, 1 BA charge
- - Rumi Cake: 70% HP
- - Gold Carrot: 100% HP
- - Donuts and Cakes can be bought in town, whereas the Gold Carrot can
- be found in Northern Tundra (and reappears if used). On Casual, you
- can carry 3 cakes and donuts. Above Casual, you can only carry 2.
- - Using a healing item takes 1,5 seconds and, thus, can be interrupted.
- - Some attacks can also heal you but nowhere near as effectively as
- the healing items.
- - Pressing the touch pad brings up the shot type menu and pressing it
- again brings up the consumable menu. Press Confirm to leave the menu
- (if you press Cancel in the shot menu, you'll trigger a Boost attack).
- - The absolute item count seen on the map screen only counts items that
- are found lying around. The relative item count counts everything (except
- eggs), and the in-game map will show obtained items that are excluded
- from the absolute count (eg. Strange Box).
- - Enemies give you money and usually also some health when killed. Both
- are automatic; there's nothing you actually need to pick up.
- - Money (En) is displayed in a rectangular font and in constantly
- fluctuating colors, making it very difficult to read. The max amount
- of money you can carry is 99 999 en.
- - Obtaining an Easter Egg gives you 1500 en. Five eggs will give you
- the Rainbow Shot, whose charge shot increases in power the more eggs
- you've found (but also consumes money, so better use it in moderation).
- - The map shows a single map section as a square, but in-game a single
- map section is 20x11 tiles (x/y).
- - The maps I made don't show high jump or skill wall jump requirements.
- - Without skill wall jumps and secret paths, your progress will be gated
- like so:
- Default: Some of Southern Woodland (Cocoa), Rabi Rabi Beach,
- Rabi Rabi Park (High Jump), Northern Tundra (Rita)
- High Jump: Cicini, Eastern Highlands (Saya), Aurora Palace (Nieve,
- Water Orb), Rabi Rabi Ravine (Chocolate), Sky-High Bridge (Vanilla)
- Water Orb: Natural Aquarium (Seana)
- C2: Exotic Lab (Slide)
- Slide: Golden Pyramid (Pandora)
- C3: System Interior (Double Jump, Syaro)
- Double Jump: Spectral Cave (Wall Jump, Ashley), Night Forest (Light
- Orb, Alraune), Icy Summit (Nixie)
- Wall Jump: Super Carrot, Sky Island Town (Air Dash, Lilith), Subterra
- (Kotri, Fire Orb)
- - To skip a scene entirely, you have to press Start while no dialog is
- displayed.
- - In Speedrun mode, all scenes are automatically skipped.
- - Hitting a boss increases the combo meter, which will gradually fall
- and drop a fair bit if you get hit. The gradual fall will cease when
- the boss uses certain attacks, mainly ones during which the boss is
- hard to reach or impossible to hit.
- - Each attack type is subject to combo meter decay and will no longer
- increase the meter after 10 or so hits. The decay will decrease if you
- just use more than two types of attacks. However, it doesn't go down over
- time on its own and will remain even if you're hit and the meter falls
- to 0.
- - Different attack types include: physical attacks (minus Spin Attack),
- Spin Attack, Hammer Wave, Fireballs, Carrot Bomb, Super Carrot, Bunny
- Amulet, Ribbon Shot (each type is considered different), charge shot
- (ditto), Boost attack.
- - Combo rank gives you a damage multiplier:
- E: 1,00 S: 1,25
- D: 1,05 . SS: 1,30
- C: 1,10 SSS: 1,35
- B: 1,15 MAX: 1,40
- A: 1,20
- - Enemies who are off-screen aren't loaded until they're just outside
- of your range of view. Once loaded, they'll stay loaded even if they
- go off-screen again (up to a distance of 22 tiles horizontally). At
- that point, you can damage them even while they're off-screen (using
- the Rainbow Shot or Yellow Shot, for instance), although this goes
- both ways, so the enemy might still be able to hit you too with a
- ranged attack.
- - I highly recommend you change the button settings so you can easily
- use the hammer while charging a shot. I set hammer to L2 and leave shot
- to Square (Air Dash in R1).
- - The game gives you 10 save slots (which is adequate, but *could* be
- more) and an auto-save slot. The auto-save can be manually loaded from
- the main menu, but not from the in-game load screen. You can still load
- the auto-save mid-game by using quick load (touch pad + Circle in the
- status screen).
- - Distinguishing different save files on the save screen can be difficult,
- as the screen doesn't show play time or location.
- - The game may rarely crash.
- - Whenever you boot up the game, the left, right and down inputs are
- likely unresponsive. Pressing up should fix the issue.
- - The game has a little trouble keeping track of the absolute item
- count. Most commonly, one of the items in Eastern Highlands will fail
- to count, so even if you get all the items, you'll end up with a total
- of 30/31. This can happen in other areas as well. In any case, this
- does *not* prevent you from reaching 100% item rate.
- - A couple of areas (namely Starting Forest and Sky Island Town) have
- issues with loading some of the background graphics when moving from
- right to left.
- - A few names have been poorly romanized (Alraune, Ashley) and at least
- one item description is inaccurate (ie. Mana Up gives 5 MP, not 4).
- - Version 1.00 had a bug that prevented True Boss Rush from unlocking.
- If you have a physical copy of the game, you'll need to update it to
- 1.01. I do recommend digital, though, so you don't have to mess around
- with physical media.
- - Disabling the Plus Necklace disables Ribbon Shot entirely.
- - The PS4 and Vita versions have separate Trophy sets, which is good,
- since the Vita version's Trophy rates have been heavily skewed due to
- hacked Trophies (28% Plat rate (and climbing) vs 1,2%). It's very
- possible the PS4 will start getting hacked Trophies eventually as well.
- - The Vita version is not PlayStation TV compatible. Even if it were,
- I'd still recommend the PS4 version, because you have more buttons and
- you can easily capture video footage.
- - The recording stops (and then restarts) whenever you press the Share
- button, regardless of whether you do anything in the menu or not.
- - The game has received some additional content on some other platforms.
- This includes a few new bosses (or new versions, rather), a bunch of
- new eggs, and a jumping mini-game in System Interior. This content is
- not likely to become available on the PS4 or Vita.
- - The new eggs are located in:
- - IC - Sky-High Bridge (above the Warp Stone)
- - NT - Azure Snow Land (right of the Aquarium Warp Stone)
- - EH - Evernight Peak (just outside the lab)
- - SA - Hall of Memories 1 (left of Seana's room)
- - System Interior 2 (jumping mini-game area)
- - IC - Windy Ravine (right of the vertical area east) x2
- - IC - Windy Ravine (Fairy Duo room) x2
- - If your eyesight isn't that great, you'll want to turn on the zoom
- function in the PS4 accessibility settings (used by pressing Home +
- Square). I use it all the time in text-heavy games myself.
- - Don't leave the game running idle without at least pausing the game.
- Some of the flickering lights (like in Warp Stones and the BP gauge)
- can easily result in burn-in (should be temporary). The Warp Stone
- flicker doesn't actually stop when you're in the menu, so don't stay
- near those for long.

- - The game features Warp Stones that enable fast-travel. The Warp Stone
- menu shows small pictures of the destinations. The currently selected
- destination gets an enlarged picture along with its name displayed.
- Some of the pictures are hard to distinguish without being selected,
- and the order of the destinations is *completely* unintuitive (as seen
- below). Accordingly, finding the desired destination can be difficult.
- - To activate a Warp Stone, you only need to walk underneath it.
- - There's no way to cancel out of the Warp menu without triggering a
- Boost attack.

- Movement Techniques
- - Be forewarned: Figuring out movement techniques on your own can be
- highly satisfying. As such, I recommend you play through the game at
- least once without outside assistance.
- Jump / High Jump
- - It's a jump. Yeah. The regular jump maxes out at 3 tiles, whereas
- High Jump maxes out at 4.
- Divekick
- - Press Down + Jump in mid-air to perform a non-damaging divekick.
- This increases your speed both down and the direction you're moving.
- Wall Jump
- - A skill wall jump is performed by turning away from a wall and pressing
- Jump. However, you also need to have had your back facing the wall before
- doing so. Generally, you can just start the jump while facing away from
- the wall, but in some cases the wall will be too far away, so you have
- to quickly turn away from the wall as you're ascending, before the actual
- wall jump.
- - A wall jump has a height of 2 tiles (and change). You can only perform
- one regular skill wall jump per jump.
- - You can't wall jump or double jump from a spring bounce.
- Divekick Wall Jump
- - A wall jump performed from a divekick. Height is about 2,5 tiles,
- and it also gives you a speed boost. Like with the regular one, you
- need to have faced away from the wall before the wall jump. You also
- must have dove for about 3 tiles before it'll work.
- - Divekicking against a wall after a wall jump will automatically
- result in an immediate divekick wall jump. Using this technique will
- allow you to reach a max height of 9 tiles (8 without Hi-Jump).
- - After a wall jump, you can only divekick in the opposite direction
- of the wall.
- - Divekick Wall Jumping against a wall may occasionally result in Erina
- bouncing away from the wall as if doing another wall jump. This is
- likely the result of Erina clipping slightly inside the wall and then
- being pushed back. Either way, I can't think of a single place where
- you could use this to your advantage.
- Spin Attack Bounce
- - Spin attack an enemy from above to bounce off of them. Doing so from
- a wall jump allows you to reach a number of places that would otherwise
- require Air Dash or Double Jump. You can't do multiple bounces in a row,
- however.
- - You can only interrupt a Spin Attack with a Down Hammer Drill or the
- Bunny Amulet.
- Divekick Spin Attack Bounce
- - This is a variant of the Spin Attack Bounce that's difficult to pull
- off and only allows you to do a couple of little things early (namely,
- exploring the top level of the Floating Graveyard, and get the egg in
- the water in Azure Snow Land without the Water Orb).
- Hammer Roll
- - Roll forward on the ground. You take no damage from spikes while
- rolling.
- - Doing an upper Hammer Drill just as you hit an enemy with the Hammer
- Roll results in a jump with a height of 5 tiles. That's not any better
- than you would get from a SAB, but the advantage is that you can still
- do a wall jump. The one and only thing this allows you to do is get
- the egg near the Rainbow Crystal without Bunny Strike (or Air Dash).
- I don't think it's worth picking up Hammer Roll just for that, but,
- yeah, it's something you can do.
- Slide
- - Press Down + Jump to slide three tiles, allowing you to pass through
- spaces that are a single tile in size, a la Mega Man. Unlike in Mega
- Man, you can also use it to damage enemies.
- - You can obtain the Slide at earliest in Chapter 2 if you have Cicini
- as a town member.
- Long Jump
- - Jumping from a slide gives you a speed boost, thus allowing you to
- jump farther than usual. Hitting a ceiling will make you lose your
- momentum, however.
- Air Slide
- - Jumping from a slide or sliding off an edge allows you access slide
- spaces that are not on the ground level, thus enabling you to move both
- ways through many horizontal slide spaces that are meant to be one-way
- only. The jump usually has to be fairly precise.
- Slide Clip
- - Sliding into a hole from just the right distance will cause Erina to
- clip through the wall until there's enough space to stand up. You need
- to position Erina so that the slide ends just as you enter the hole.
- This only works when moving from left to right, however.
- - Slide Clipping allows you to go out of bounds in a few places (eg.
- in System Interior and Subterra).
- - It's possible to combine the Air Slide and Slide Clip, but it's very
- difficult to pull off.
- Bunny Strike
- - Attack during a slide or in the air immediately following a slide.
- Allows you to reach a few places that would otherwise require the air
- dash. Obtained after you get the slide.
- Air Dash
- - A damaging, horizontal dash in the air. Lv1: 2 tiles. Lv2: 4. Lv3: 6.
- Unhindered by water. You can get it once you have Slide.
- - Air Dashing from a wall jump allows you to reach higher ledges. A few
- of these can be tricky, as you have to air dash as soon as Erina turns
- around in the air.
- Wall Jump (upgrade)
- - Once you have the Wall Jump upgrade (requires Slide), you can wall
- jump by simply turning away from a wall and hitting Jump. Lv1: 2 jumps.
- Lv2: 3 jumps.
- - While underwater, you can wall jump up the same wall.
- Double Jump
- - Perform a jump in mid-air. Max height is about 2,5 tiles. Combined
- with a regular jump, you can reach a height of 7 tiles.
- - You can't double jump after a wall jump.
- - You can obtain Double Jump at earliest in Chapter 3.
- Divekick Double Jump
- - Double jumping from a divekick results in a jump with increased speed
- (similar to, if not the same as, a divekick wall jump).
- - With precise timing, it's possible to pull off a DKDJ even on even
- ground.
- Bunny Amulet
- - Using the Bunny Amulet in mid-air resets your momentum.
- Walking
- - Hold down the hammer button to slow down movement.
- Destroying obstacles
- - The game features blocks that can be destroyed through a variety of
- means, as seen below:
- - Bomb
- - Piko Hammer or Bomb
- - Ribbon Shot or Fireballs (Fire Orb)
- - Body contact (with Fire Orb)
- - Pressure from above
- - You can shoot in a 30 degree angle if you hold up or down while firing
- (Blue Shot and Carrot Shooter only). Shots that penetrate terrain can't
- destroy blocks.
- - Carrot Bombs have a radius of about 1,5 tiles at max level. Bombs
- will fall through platforms that you can jump through.
- - Destroying Hammer blocks above or below you requires the Spin Attack.
- You can still use it even if there are only 2 tiles of space.
- Dark Areas
- - Exploring dark areas technically doesn't require the Light Orb (which
- you can obtain once you have the Slide), but it's certainly a lot easier
- with it.
- Underwater Areas
- - Likewise, exploring underwater areas (which are largely limited to
- the Natural Aquarium) doesn't technically require the Water Orb, but
- it's a lot more comfortable with it.
- - Without the Water Orb, you move at half speed while underwater, but
- can still jump 2 tiles higher. With the orb, you move at normal speed
- and can jump 12 tiles high (9 without Hi-Jump, 7 with a wall jump or
- double jump).
- --------------------------------------------------------------------------
- Area / Chapter Notes A01
- Prologue - Bunny Meets Fairy
- - The Prologue is largely linear and has you exploring some of Southern
- Woodland and then going through Rabi Rabi Beach and Rabi Rabi Ravine in
- order to reach Rabi Rabi Town.
- - In Speedrun Mode, the City segment is skipped, and you start off in
- the forest.
- Rabi Rabi Town
- - Miriam will give you the Speed Boost the first time you talk to her
- and the Bunny Strike after you've gotten Slide.
- - Once you have at least three town members, you can talk to them to
- buy a 5 minute buff.
- - You can get the Erina Badge and Ribbon Badge once you've beaten C8.
- These are among the best badges in the game *if* your SP and MP are
- high enough.
- - 0%: You can only buy healing items in Chapter 6. Use the free cake
- and donut wisely.
- Main Game - Part 1 (Chapters 1-5)
- - To progress the story, you need to defeat bosses around the world,
- who will then become town members in Rabi Rabi Town. Each chapter has
- a town member quota you need to reach before you can move to the next
- chapter (by talking to Rumi in town).
- C1 | | The Adventure Begins
- C2 | 2 | A Little Peek
- C3 | 4 | Bunny in the City
- C4 | 7 | The Mysterious Bunny
- C5 | 10 | Back to the Beginning
- - When you get your 6th town member, you'll get a brief interlude where
- you use Rita to fight a mini-boss. Her best attacks are hammer, hammer,
- down+hammer, down+hammer and down+hammer in the air.
- City (aka. Warp Destination)
- - You can enter one of the buildings to find the CreSpirit office in C4.
- - You'll briefly fight Noah before Alius 3 in C4. You don't actually
- have to damage her, though.
- - You won't be able to use Ribbon when fighting Miru.
- - If you miss any eggs in the City, no need to worry. You can repeat
- the City events by talking to Rumi after completing C8.
- Southern Woodland
- - You'll need Speed Boost in order to be able to wall jump to reach
- the upper right section of the forest.
- - You can fight the Rainbow Crystal (and thus claim the Tough Skin badge
- as well as get Ashuri as a town member) after fighting Ashuri for the
- second time and being contacted by her in town.
- - You can use a Divekick Spin Attack Bounce to reach the upper level
- in the Spectral Cave (near the Warp Stone). If your Speed Boost is
- still only Lv1, you also need to pull off a *very* precise jump.
- - The path to the Forgotten Cave will be blocked until you've fought
- Kotri 1.
- Western Coast & Sky Island
- - I level up the Carrot Bomb under the bridge at the west end. Divekick
- from the spring to quickly respawn the enemies.
- - You should get the Armored badge as soon as you've gotten High Jump
- (negates knockback, although getting hit will still stun you).
- - If you kill an enemy during an alert in the pyramid, the Healing icon
- will appear in the corner. This is because the alerts are actually
- considered bosses, and killing an enemy who drops health during a boss
- triggers the icon for some reason.
- - After taking some damage, Lilith uses an attack where she sends two
- homing heart projectiles at you. You need to jump over the first one,
- then divekick to avoid the second one. Fail to do so and you will
- receive *severe* damage.
- - To fight Lilith 2, you need to have already beaten Cicini.
- - Getting Health Wager with only the Air Dash requires some pretty
- precise maneuvering. I doubt it's a badge you'll use, though, so you
- don't really need to bother.
- - Once you have Double Jump and Spike Barrier, you can go ahead and
- explore the areas below the Warp Stone in the Floating Graveyard. The
- area can be somewhat challenging, but there are a number of checkpoints
- and two healing panels.
- - You can use an air slide at the beginning to skip a chunk of the area.
- - The egg in the dark area can't be gotten if you come in from the
- very top. Return to the area from the later areas so the blocks aren't
- destroyed. (When entering the area through the slide path, the darkness
- doesn't actually kick in. I doubt this was intentional.)
- - If you have both Chocolate and Vanilla, an event will take place in
- the room in the middle with the egg (this event removes the event block
- in the slide area so you can actually reach said egg). After that, you
- can trigger the Halloween Cats boss fight.
- - The easiest way to cross the chasm on the top level is with a Slide
- Jump Divekick Double Jump Air Dash.
- Island Core
- - The NPC near the Rabi Rabi Park Warp Stone can lower the difficulty
- level (but not increase it). After completing C8, the NPC will no longer
- offer to lower the difficulty, but instead allow you to start a New Game +
- playthrough, which increases difficulty by one loop.
- - Once you have Double Jump, you can explore the Windy Ravine early by
- air sliding into the spring near the first save point. You'll end up
- out of bounds and fall to your death, but when you continue, you'll be
- at the second save point. Pillar Saya isn't there yet. The transporter
- isn't visible but can still be used. The event block is still there,
- though, so it doesn't really matter. You can use the spring at the end
- to get to the Fairy Duo area, but there's nothing there. When you jump
- down, you'll be at Sky-High Bridge. In the end, all you can really do
- in Windy Ravine at this point is grab the three eggs. Once you reach
- Chapter 9, the spring near the first save point will behave like normal
- and no longer take you out of bounds.
- Northern Tundra
- - Don't forget to level up the Carrot Bomb to get the most out of Super
- Carrot.
- - You can get the Attack Up in the hole near the west end by divekicking
- at it (if you don't have slide yet).
- - If you fall down the wrong pit at the east end of the Natural Aquarium
- and don't have the Water Orb and don't know how to wall jump yet, you're
- not getting out alive.
- - You can't avoid the PP Up at the east end of the Natural Aquarium if
- you're coming from the Western Coast.
- - The Gold Carrot doesn't contribute to your item count. After using it,
- you can come back and get another one.
- - You have to fight Nieve (at Aurora Palace) before you can fight Nixie
- (at Icy Summit). Once you've fought Nixie, they'll both become town
- members.
- - Shadow Rita will appear at Icy Summit after Chapter 1.
- - After beating Seana for the first time, you need the following town
- members to initiate the second battle (after which she actually becomes
- a town member): Cicini, Syaro, Nixie, Nieve, Vanilla and Chocolate. Once
- you have them, visit a save point outside of town and you should get
- some dialog. After that, you'll find Seana on the west bridge outside
- of town.
- Eastern Highlands
- - Don't forget: One of the items here will (likely) fail to count towards
- the area total (ie. having 30/31 items means you've found them all).
- - To get the egg 3 tiles above the Spin Attack, shoot the first enemy
- with the Rainbow Shot to make her move closer so you can do the bounce.
- - The Exotic Lab will become accessible if you have Cicini as a town
- member and have reached Chapter 2. Clearing the events there gives you
- 17 500 en.
- - Avoiding the PP Up in the Exotic Lab requires a slide jump (or air dash).
- - Getting the Attack Up in the Exotic Lab with only the Air Dash can
- be tricky. The wall jump has to be done a bit lower than you'd think.
- - It's possible to obtain the Red Shot without fighting Ashley if you
- drop down from above. The fight is only triggered when you enter the
- area from the right.
- - If you jump up into limbo in the first area in Evernight Peak, the
- game will glitch out a little and the screen will go dark. I think this
- is because of the darkness effect in that area. Either way, you'll soon
- fall down, and things will go back to normal.
- - 0%: It's possible to get the egg when fighting Saya if you get lucky
- with the block attack, but it's not a big deal if you miss it.
- Subterranean Area
- - The area full of bomb blocks is a good place to farm money. Once you
- have double jump, you can avoid respawning the blocks by crossing the
- load zone while in limbo (only necessary when leaving the area). You'll
- want to have one block remaining high up from where you can easily take
- out multiple enemies with the Super Carrot.
- - Obtaining the Bunny Amulet (at the beginning of C2) increases the
- Subterra item count by 1.
- System Interior
- - You can access the System Interior once you've reached Chapter 3 and
- completed the events in the Exotic Lab.
- - The enemies here are immune to the Piko Hammer and Slide.
- Plurkwood
- - Keke Bunny won't count towards the town member goals and can be
- skipped completely so long as you don't trigger any of the events here.
- - You can use the computer to warp to Rabi Rabi Town.
- Chapter 6 - Underneath the Island (Subterra - Hall of Memories)
- (Southern Woodland - Forgotten Cave)
- - Chapters 6-8 are Main Game - Part 2.
- - Consider spending all your money before heading down.
- - 0%: This is your only chance to buy healing items.
- - 0%: This is one of the hardest parts in a 0% run. Avoid as many enemies
- as you can. Wait for your Bunny Amulet to charge before triggering a
- checkpoint.
- - Once below 25% HP, Miriam will steal Ribbon and force her to attack
- you while constantly draining your money. She won't stop until you
- either run out of money or defeat her.
- - Forgotten Cave 2 is a boss rush. These versions are fairly weak, but
- do inflict some annoying status ailments (Ban Skill prevents physical
- attacks, Mana Down prevents using Ribbon). The bosses respawn.
- Saya | Ban Skill, Poison
- Ribbon | Mana Down, Speed Down
- Ashley | Ban Skill, Poison
- Cocoa | Attack Down, Burn
- Chocolate | Attack Down, Poison
- Pandora | Mana Down, Speed Down

- Nixie | Ban Skill, Cursed (+ Freeze)
- Alraune | Attack Down, Poison
- Lilith | Attack Down, Burn
- Seana | Mana Down, Speed Down
- Rita | Defense Down, Numb
- - Checkpoint -
- Kotri | Ban Skill, Poison
- Pixel Face| Ban Skill, Mana Down (absent in 0%)
- Miru | Mana Down, Speed Down
- Alius | Attack Down, Defense Down (+ Unstable)
- - After Rita, you get a checkpoint for every boss.
- - Rumi has multiple health bars. After each shmup phase, she'll have
- 99 Reflect for a while (damage above 99 pod will be reflected). Only
- use regular shots during that time.
- Chapter 7 - Connecting the Two (System Interior)
- - The checkpoints are very generous here, hence why I didn't bother
- showing them on the map.
- - Sadly, there are no save points here, so there's no easy way to re-fight
- the boss (quote, unquote boss).
- - 0%: There are a lot blocks you can break with the Ribbon Shot that
- normally wouldn't be breakable.
- Chapter 8 - Irisu in Wonderland (Sky Island)
- - After completing C8, all bosses will respawn. If there's any exploration
- you'd still like to do, better do it now.
- - You need to have all 15 town members (and Keke Bunny if you've triggered
- an event in Plurkwood) to access the Floating Library. Once inside, you
- can only leave through the bomb wall near the end. There are no save
- points in this area. As such, if you want to re-fight the final boss,
- you either need to maintain an auto-save or get through the library again.
- - If you fought Keke Bunny, don't forget to talk to her in town to
- actually make her a town member.
- - Again, plenty of checkpoints.
- - Irisu starts off by inflicting some ailments that you can block with
- the Bunny Amulet.
- - Eventually, she'll activate Revenge 300, which will stay in effect
- for a few minutes. You'll need to refrain from using your more powerful
- attacks during that time (but not on 0%).
- Chapter 9 - Fairies Attack (Rabi Rabi Ravine)
- - The egg three tiles left of Pillar Saya is a little tricky. Before
- you reveal the egg, you need to destroy the two pressure sensitive
- blocks to open up a short cut. Now, when you bomb the wall, you just
- circle around to use the short cut to get to the egg (ie. go right,
- all the way down, left, all the way up). If you use a longer path,
- the blocks will respawn.
- - The egg near the spring that takes you to the Fairy Duo is supposed
- to be gotten during the escape, but you can use an air slide to grab
- it before that (or after).
- - When fighting the Fairy Duo, it's possible end up out of bounds (and
- then land in Sky-High Bridge) during the zero gravity phase. If this
- happens, you should reset, as the game may be soft-locked at that point.
- - Skipping the scenes after the Fairy Duo too quickly may result in the
- escape sequence not activating.
- - The escape sequence involves going through a modified Rabi Rabi Ravine
- while under a time limit.
- - There are no checkpoints, and the save points act as heal points.
- - The Wind Blessing as well as 2 eggs can only be gotten during this
- event. (In other versions, it seems to be possible to obtain the Wind
- Blessing outside the escape.)
- - When playing on Casual, there's no time limit.
- - During the escape, it's possible to get stuck in the area with the
- thin platforms you can jump through.
- Chapter 10 - Finding Memories (Subterra - Hall of Memories 2)
- - You'll temporarily lose the Bunny Amulet here.
- - The two areas before the Quick Man shaft are among the most annoying
- in the game. In these areas, you have to destroy the blocks using the
- enemy's homing laser attack. You *should* get the best results if you
- jump when the laser approaches you.
- - Defeating the bosses in the four areas will remove the colored blocks.
- Once you enter an area, you can't leave until you've defeated the boss.
- These bosses take a lot of damage from body contact.
- - Make sure you leave red for last or you won't be able to get the egg
- near the beginning. If you miss it, you have to re-fight the final boss
- to reset the events.
- - The egg in the green area requires an air slide (ie. slide through,
- then slide back in using the nearby block). You can reset the blocks
- by moving ahead two screens.

- List + Info
- Piko Hammer [SW - Starting Forest]
- - Your basic melee weapon.
- - The hammer, bomb and Ribbon level up from use (in addition to the
- shop upgrades). The game doesn't show their level progress, though.
- There's just a little message when you level up.
- - You can't use regular Ribbon shots while attacking with the hammer,
- but you can use charge shots.
- - You can chain hammer attacks 3, 4 and 5 into Up Hammer Drill, which
- you can then follow up with a Down Hammer Drill. If you don't pick up
- any Mana Ups or Regen Ups, your SP should run out with the Up Hammer
- Drill (after a 5 hit combo).
- - The first and fourth hits in the basic combo look the same but seem
- to have a slight difference in damage.
- - The second and third hits in the basic combo do more damage if they
- hit an enemy behind you. You can turn around after the first hit in
- order to maximize damage, but it's a little difficult to pull off.
- - The attacks that don't trigger hit invincibility (but can easily get
- deflected) are: Hammer attack 5 (9 hits), Hammer Drill (up: 10 hits),
- Air Dash and Bunny Strike.
- - There's no way to disable Hammer Drill, which you'll likely perform
- on accident at times.

- Lv3 | 9999 | Hammer attack 4 SP use -75%.
- Ribbon Shot
- - Your basic ranged attack. Comes in seven flavors. Hold the button to
- do a charge shot, which consumes MP (12,5 MP for single charge, 22 MP
- for double charge).
- - MP recovery has two phases: first, there's the recovery pause, then
- there's the actual recovery.
- - By default, the single charge recovery pause is about 1 second, but
- becomes negligible with enough Regen Ups. Double charge pause is 2,2s
- at first, but can be reduced to about a second.
- - By default, you regenerate 40 MP in about 6,5 seconds (or 10 in
- 1,625s). With max Regen, you'll regenerate 10 MP in 0,375s.
- - At max level and with the Quick Barrette, a single charge takes 1
- second and a double charge takes 2,2 seconds.
- - Note how Ribbon will miss enemies that are too close to Erina.

- - The Blue Shot is a simple, linear projectile. You can shoot in a 30
- degree angle if you hold up or down while firing (regular shots only).
- - The Red Shot (aka. Explode Shot) is the one I use the most by far.
- It shoots 3 shots in both directions, with a range of 15 tiles. The
- charge shot creates a red sphere that lingers and does multiple hits.
- It also restores a little SP. The charge shot has a range of 10 tiles,
- but can reach 1,5 tiles farther if you're moving forward.
- - The Yellow Shot (aka. Sunny Beam) fires a continuous laser that
- penetrates terrain. It doesn't have combo meter decay, but the meter
- growth it produces is so minimal, it's outpaced by the fall above rank B.
- - The Green Shot (aka. Healing Staff) shoots 4 projectiles randomly in
- a 40 degree spread. Each hit heals 2% MP. The charge shot fires 4/8
- homing projectiles that penetrate terrain. Hitting enemies with it
- allows you to heal 1 or 2 HP. How this is supposed to help you when
- you're taking hundreds of points of damage is beyond me. The Green Shot
- also has very low combo meter growth.
- - The Purple Shot (aka. Chaos Rod) shoots numerous projectiles in a
- 110 degree spread. The charge shot creates a field that slows down
- subjects. It has a shorter recovery pause than the other types.
- - The Carrot Shooter shoots... carrots. Who would've known? Damage
- increases when below 50% HP or so. The charge shot creates carrot bombs
- (1 for single, 3 for double).
- - The Rainbow Shot shoots homing projectiles that penetrate terrain.
- The homing doesn't work on enemies outside of your horizontal range
- of view. Vertically, the homing still works up to 18 tiles. The charge
- shot is quite powerful but consumes 100% MP, has a long recovery pause
- (at least by default (3s)) and also costs some money (40*eggs). Double-
- charging it only increases the size and speed of the projectile (and
- the recovery pause (5s)), but not the damage. Without enough money, the
- charge shot only does 1 pod. Once you have 15 eggs, the charge shot
- will heal you by a miniscule amount during bosses.
- - Using Ribbon's Boost attack requires at least 50% BP. You accumulate
- BP from hitting enemies with magical attacks (Ribbon, Hammer Wave, Fire
- Orb, Super Carrot, Bunny Amulet)(and over time if you have the Book of
- Carrot). The Boost attack makes you invincible for a moment and also
- gives you 2 buffs (3 in case of Rainbow), one of which is Speed Up, for
- a few seconds.

- Super Carrot [NT - Icy Summit]
- - An attack that does 3-4 hits and covers a large area. You need to stand
- still and charge it to use it. Using it will increase the cooldown bar
- to 100%. The cooldown figure affects charge time, horizontal range and
- damage (as seen below). The attack also briefly makes you invincible.
- - The vertical range of the attack is a bit hard to determine, as it's
- not clear where the center of the blast is. It might be the carrot you
- see above Erina. In this case, the vertical range is about 10 tiles
- above and below. Either way, it's unaffected by cooldown.
- - You don't have to keep holding down after you start charging.
- - While charging, you take 50% more damage. Getting hit will interrupt you.
- - While charging, you can't use regular Ribbon shots, but you can use
- charge shots.
- - Don't forget that you can use the Bunny Amulet to instantly negate
- the cooldown.

- Bunny Strike [Rabi Rabi Town] (req. Slide)
- - An attack performed from a slide. It does multiple hits, but the
- damage decay is heavy, and there's a 15 second cooldown before it does
- 100% damage again. Hitting an enemy with the slide will reset the cooldown.
- Lv2 | 3250 | Slide & Bunny Strike base damage +5

- Bunny Amulet [Rabi Rabi Town]
- - A shockwave attack that restores SP and negates Super Carrot and
- Bunny Strike cooldowns. It also makes you invincible for a moment.
- By default, a single charge takes 40s and it doesn't really get much
- faster than that without a badge or a buff. Even with all 30 Regen
- Ups, it still takes 35s.
- - You can get the upgrades for free by completing Chapters 2 and 3.

- Soul Heart [Rabi Rabi Town - Shop]
- - Display enemy HP bar.
- - HP +5%.
- Book of Carrot [Rabi Rabi Town - Shop]
- - Generate BP over time. A full charge takes 1m 30s.
- - It also seems to decrease your max BP (maybe 20%), so you don't need
- as much to use Boost attacks.
- Max Bracelet [Rabi Rabi Town - Shop]
- - Enables Max Boost attack.
- Bunny Clover [Rabi Rabi Town - Shop]
- - Automatically use a healing item when you take a fatal hit. The

- Fairy's Flute [IC - Windy Ravine]
- - When you fall below 20% HP, Lilli and Pixie will appear and attack

- - You can only change badges during the first 5 seconds in a boss fight.
- - Weaken and Self Defense have no effect that I can notice.
- - Erina Badge: The first Hammer attack V takes the normal amount of SP.
- Subsequent ones take double.
- - Ribbon Badge: The first charge shot takes the normal amount of MP
- (with -15%, ie. 10,625 / 18,7). The subsequent ones are single charge
- shots that cost double (21,25). These have no recovery pause, so you
- can recover MP even as you're firing. The firing stops once you only
- have enough MP left for one shot (with default MP, you can't even fire
- it once).

- usage substantially.

- Massive damage!
- - You'll find the sandbag in Rabi Rabi Park.
- - This one becomes trivial by the end of the game.
- Running away from home?
- - You'll get this one if you have 10+ town members at the end of Chapter 1.
- (12 is max in C1)
- You just broke the game!
- - You'll get this if you reach System Interior 2 before C7. You can
- accomplish this by using the Bunny Amulet.
- It would be easier if you had some help...
- - There are, in fact, 71 eggs, so you can afford to miss one. Refer to
- the maps and area notes.
- Were those instant kill?
- - Beat Irisu without ever taking any spike damage. This one's relatively
- easy. You can see the amount of spike damage you've taken in the Town
- Member screen.
- - Do NOT use quick load after taking spike damage.
- - Getting hit by Thwomps doesn't count as spike damage.
- Why are there so many of them?
- - At the beginning of a boss rush, you choose a save file that will
- determine your items and the difficulty. There is no health recovery
- after a boss.
- - The standard boss rush features the following 22 bosses: Cocoa, Ribbon,
- Ashley, Kotri (G), Rita, Cicini, Sharo, Chocolate, Saya, Vanilla,
- Pandora, Cocoa 2, Kotri (B), Nieve, Seana, Nixie, Alraune, Ashley 2,
- Kotri (R), Lilith, Alius, Miru.
- - There's no Trophy for Another Boss Rush, but here's what you fight
- in that one in case you're wondering: Miru, Noah, Cyber Noah, ???,
- Miriam, Rumi, Irisu.
- - Same goes for the fourth boss rush: Keke Bunny, Cocoa SP, Ribbon SP,
- Ashley SP, Halloween Cats, Pillar Saya, Fairy Duo, Erina (?).
- So many... So strong...
- - True Boss Rush (28): Cocoa, Ribbon, Ashley, Kotri (G), Rita, Cicini,
- Sharo, Chocolate, Saya, Vanilla, Pandora, Cocoa 2, Kotri (B), Nieve,
- Seana, Nixie, Alraune, Ashley 2, Kotri (R), Lilith, Alius, Miru. Noah,
- Cyber Noah, ???, Miriam, Rumi, Irisu.
- - You'll want to start this one with Halo Boost and Miru's boosts. Just
- save the game while you have those.
- So... Erina, do you expect to win with cuteness?
- - Beat Irisu with 0% items. Really not all that bad - so long as you
- take full advantage of Halo Boost. Without Halo Boost, it's absolutely
- insane. Even on Casual, you'll eventually die from a couple of hits.
- With Halo Boost, even someone like me, who's constantly getting hit,
- should be able to do it.
- - In 0%, you'll have to make do with the Blue Shot, Rainbow Shot and
- Bunny Amulet. You can also buy healing items (albeit only in C6) and
- Cocoa Bombs.
- - Eggs you can get:
- 1. Starting Forest (below the Hammer)
- 2. Rabi Rabi Beach (path to Northern Tundra)
- 3. Rabi Rabi Ravine
- 4. Aurora Palace
- 5. Azure Snow Land (next to Warp Stone)
- 6. Icy Summit
- 7. Volcanic Caverns (block area)
- 8. Natural Aquarium
- 9. Starting Forest (northeast section, requires Speedy buff)
- 10. Exotic Lab
- 11. System Interior
- 12. City
- 13. Volcanic Caverns (Hall of Memories entrance)
- 14. Forgotten Cave 2
- 15. System Interior 2
- 16. Floating Library
- - If you can't seem to be able to get through an area, look for blocks
- you can destroy with the Ribbon Shot. You'll also get additional spring
- boards in places like System Interior 2 and Floating Library.
- - During my 0% run, I was eventually unable to get higher than Halo
- Boost Lv1. I don't know if this always happens on 0% or if I just used
- it too much and there's some kind of limit. Either way, it made C6-8
- a bit more unpleasant than I was expecting, but still manageable.
- MAX Rank True End!
- - To get this one, you need to get MAX rank in 30 or so bosses. Never
- bothered to even try this one for the reason mentioned above.
- Gold Bunny Speedrunner
- - Beat Main Game Part 1 (up to Chapter 5) in under an hour on Casual.
- This is a *very* tight time limit. Nothing like Bunny Must Die, for
- instance, where you won't even break a sweat. There's apparently more
- time on higher difficulty levels, but there's no solid information on
- how much. In any case, the best I've gotten is 1:10.
- - This trophy is called Platinum Bunny Speedrunner in other versions.
- The name was changed on the PlayStation to avoid being confused with
- the actual Platinum trophy.
