There was no ifs, ands, nor buts regarding that. It simply was the way of things.

But 'death' is not a concept that applies to beings like us. We eventually return. In one form or another.

As for what the Void is? It's hard to say. Some people call corrupted Celestial bodies 'Void'. Others? A certain set of stars. There are so many things thrown haphazardly under the name, that it's impossible to know the real 'Void' from the rest at this point."
