It was promised to be great and its delivers.
I have a bit of a problem to put it into words, especially because I have to avoid spoilers at all cost, so bear with me.
It's probably the most realistic story I ever seen I a video game. or more precisely put, the story with the most realistic feeling. a thin difference.
Surprisingly the story is very different from the story of any game I played(and when I say games I mean good story-based / story-focused games, other are irrelevant). this one is really and truly focused on the characters.
How can I describe this? most games try to go over-the-top in some way or another. you know what I'm talking about, the "Would you kindly?" moments.
This does the opposite. by not going over the top he manages to make characters and events that feel real. events that could easily happen in real life.

Generic cover based third person shooter. nothing special.
Actually I heard somewhere that the developers did this on purpose. trying to emphasize the story this way.
In any case, despite don't liking shooters normally (an understatement), I didn't suffer too much. sometimes I even fond myself enjoying it.

Good.

Replayability: 1.5 playthroughs.
There are 15 chapters in the game.
There are some choices in the game, but their consequences mostly are kept to their specific chapter. still you'd probably would want to see what would have happened if you did X.
4 endings, but as I mentioned before. the split point is on the same chapter.
there are also multiple difficulties in case you liked it as a shooter.

Final Score: 9/10
Great story. if you like shooters, you have to play this game. it was made for people like you.
assuming you don't.. still play it. it's worth it.
