- Is it any wonder?
- Our world, slipping to darkness;
- engulfing us, as smoke surrounds the mountaintops,
- the inevitable has arrived, the demise eminent.
- Rocks with tails, black as night, shielding our city from the light;
- it’s golden rays, masked behind the deception of a molten façade.
- I see in the distance, a glowing beacon, red and orange.
- Fear.
- Mayhem ensues, buildings crumble, façades shatter.
- The orange glow, distant glints in tear filled eyes;
- cascading over cracked, dry, and red, skin.
- A city is not falling, but a mind imploding.
- What happens –
- to a world -
- when everything you had built is destroyed?
