Preparations for no-deal Brexit include radical cuts to state pension, raising state pension aid and reducing tax allowances on private pensions.
DWP official said, on condition of anonymity, that all HMG departments had been tasked to reduce expenditure by 10-20% following no-deal Brexit to meet expected shortfall in tax revenues consequent to collapse in international trade.
Same official added that such preparations are mandated as secret to avoid panic amongst the key pro-Brexit demographic.
