WELCOME TO THE TERRIFYING WORLD OF KAEDITH! Below we present you the basic facts that everyone knows in the world. Some things aren't listed, I'll be sure to notify your pc in-game when needed.

Geography: The Geography is simply this: A massive super continent with an archipelago at the south, ending with a large island-continent. There is no government for this world, though, remnants of the countries remain in the heritage and beliefs of the still-living humans, it's been roughly one hundred years since humanity's last country fell to the ground. That being said the DM will inform you where you start, sucka.

State of the World: The world is on the brink of death. In short, The Blackmist has began spawning forth fiends and shambling horrors meant only for one's imagination. As most scholars know, this is a result of Darkweaving.

Magical Tools: Ironically, the Blackmist still plays a key thing in culture today: Several people have a magical artifact of some sort in order to cope with the environment and get the job done, only Mistborn are capable of creating these items, as, making such a tool requires infusing the Blackmist into an object.

Blackmist: The Blackmist is a magical anomaly found throughout the world; mostly in magical creatures and fiends. The Blackmist is often associated with evil, and mages, as a result aren't really appreciated.

Misteater: Kaedith has tales of a being capable of devouring the Blackmist of his or her enemies and using it to empower themselves -- though unfortunately for humanity, the only known Misteater is lord Kyarlanoth himself.

Mistborn: Mistborn are those who are born with Blackmist. They are capable of altering reality to their liking(I.E: 'Magic') and can manipulate their surroundings to how they please. Mistborn are rare, and disrespected throughout Kaedith.

Fiends: Fiends are vile, malign creatures spawned by the Blackmist. They vary in number and strength, and grow as they age and feast on the souls of their victims. It is said that when you lose your soul to a Fiend or Darkweaver, you yourself, becomes a fiend.

Lord Kyarlanoth: The Manipulator, Him Who Watches, The Lord of Darkweaving, The Unspeakable; He goes by many names, but in short, he's a Greater fiend who was sapped of his power long ago, slowing his advances. Lord Kyarlanoth is feared by man due to the power of Darkweaving; a form of magic invented by him in which he can utilize to harvest the souls of the slain. He created a small elite squad of Darkweavers to follow his command, and nearly razed the world to the ground years before -- Kyarlanoth still walks the earth with the Darkweavers, however, they've gone into hiding.

Darkweavers: Almost exclusively mistborn, the Darkweavers are Kyarlanoth's most trusted soldiers.
