Bonded Fates

[17:18] Out in the public space for rare ceremonies was none other than Alexios' predecessor, a Teraphim who had left much of the culture of Myllenoris and its people to be inherited, followed, or changed under the direction of the new generations to come. While many knew his name, very few often spotted him as he kept to the deeper areas of the Vale by day, and occasionally by night, only to retire to his home when he was usually certain no one was watching.

And yet, there were times like these where even Finn Ghede could be pulled from his trances and mysterious walks to oversee that which still needed to be taught and understood. There had not been a proper bonding ceremony in some years, and the mark of any High Lord's soul-sharing connection was a momentous thing that required the sanctity and care of one who worked most loyally for Aschea.

"Welcome, everyone." the elder Teraphim begain. He wore simple grey robes with some intricate designs laced into them, though they were only visible in some turns of the light, for they matched the color of the material as well. It was a humble yet elegant thing, and one fitting enough to oversee a ceremony such as this. "I have to say how fortunate we are to be able to a bonding like this, that we are able to live within some safety and peace once again." His hands clasped together before Finn, one made of blue crystal and the other natural and pale skinned.

"What many might not know is what it means to bond as one of our kind." Finn went on, his gaze shifting to the crowd and then Yoshiko herself, for even if she already knew all of this, he'd still give the explanation for it all. "The Teraphim hold many things sacred, and our hearts are, in a way, more fragile than most others. They are made of crystal, as our Mother bestowed her gifts upon us, and they flow with her power and energy even now."

"To love as a Teraphim is to open up toward another. And to ultimately bond with said person is to surpass even the concept that so many other couples hold dear. With the act of forming the bond, two halves become one. Two hearts connect together, two minds think together, and two spirits merge into something tangible and very real." Finn smiled and said, "The term soul-mate to a human may simply be a play on words, but to the Teraphim, it is literal."

Calmly, Finn shifted his hands behind his back and stood up straighter. He looked to Alexios and said, "This bond is irrevocable for our kind and requires the utmost trust, devotion, and care toward the one we choose for it. If you mean to offer up your bond today, High Lord, then speak your vows and promises to your intended and have them be known."

[17:29] The long awaited day had finally arrived. There was a lot of planning towards this. Especially with Barsburg's plans causing much stress within the people of Myllenoris. However, it was at least better than hearing about the demons scouting out the lands to feat on their people.

It was indeed, as Finn said, a more peaceful time. The perfect time to hold a event of bonding and eternal union. But with a bit more flash. Yoshiko was dressed in a robe-like bathing suit to the fit the theme of the beach. The wisp circlet on her dome made this perfect for what she was soon to become.

But for now, the Illuminated Kitsune gave her attention to Finn. She had been graced with some of the Teraphims' history and religion but it was not a bad thing to hear a more detailed part in how their relationships work. Especially in this light.

To hear that a Teraphims heart was more fragile than anyone else's made Yoshiko think but, not too hard. It was understanding. A crystal heart that could break if bonded with the wrong one.

Luckily, Alexios found the right person to bond with. Yoshiko has been waiting for this day and has done nothing but shown great interest into him since they've danced within Alabastre.

That would be the cause of the events that led up to here.

Yoshiko awaits for Alexios to speak his vows. She felt genuinely nervous. But! Her tail hang high.

[17:34] Dressed more professional than he usually was, as those red robes with golden trims have been hung up for today. Replaced by the blackened silk, which has various white lines tracing over it. The pattern was smooth, with the symbol of the Greycloaks resting on its collar.

Atop Alexios's head sat the crown, Aschea present to oversee such a ceremony. To explore and understand the connection he held with Yoshiko, as it was always best to wear it in the presence of his people. But today, he wore it to show his dedication to both his love and his mother. As today Yoshiko would feel her presence, unlike any other human or beastkin has.

Emeralds do gaze out at the crowd for a moment, admiring those that had come to witness such a thing. With Saewyn here too, most likely his best man. (Since he is gone for an OOC week.)

But he couldn't help but bring those hues back onto Yoshiko, gazing at her as Finley started their ceremony. Welcoming those here, and talkingabout how it was nice to have peace. Even if it wasn't real peace, they had enough time to share precious moments like this. And many of the new generation, including himself? Would witness, and be involved in such a thing.

So once he is asked for his vows, told how irrevocable this is. To involved trust, devotion, and care towards each other. He just sighs, before nodding his head firmly.

"Yoshiko, ever since we danced at that Masquerade you've opened up to me. Shown me your heart, and ideals. To share Jiuwihu's Light with me, as Aschea approves of such beliefs. As for the balance between us both, to remain."

"We started rocky, as I had even tried to put you under arrest. But to understand how you felt, and what was going through your head? It made me feel more for you, as my whole life I searched in hopes of mending the hearts of humanity. And if I could make your heart whole, I believe I can do it too many others too." Laughing, he shakes his head. "Of course, I wouldn't marry them all... But you are certainly different and have not only earned but gained my attention and love."

"Even when I had fallen in the war, you stood tall for us both and picked me back up again. And bring purpose to forgotten places like Starfall again, and as I once lost someone in the past... You have reminded me that I can open up still and that I should."

"So I, High Lord of Myllenoris, Alexios. Take your hands." Reaching forward, he takes her hands into his own. "Accept your heart and soul." Even if he didn't use the crystals, his very core existed of such. Causing a heart of crystal to form in their palms, gleaming against the sun. "As I believe with no doubts, you're the one for me... And that you would never shatter my heart, but keep it warm, and loved. My sun, I open my all up to you."

With all that said, he looks back at Finley to continue.

[17:38] Finn had urged Alexios to speak his vows, and with them said before the entire crowd, the elder turned next to Yoshiko and bid her to do the same. "Even as a kitsune, once the bond takes hold, you too will feel some of its effects." he explained to Yoshiko. "Alexios' feelings will be your own, your thoughts shared with his. Even for a non-Teraphim, such a union is special and once created, lasts a lifetime."

His head bowed slightly in Yoshiko's direction. "You may speak your own promises to Alexios now, if you wish."

[17:53] The was one person that Yoshiko felt should've been here and only regretted that they weren't. That person being her sister Anastasia that she's known for so long and would've wanted to see a very important accomplishment in her life. From going to the crybaby that everyone seemed to tend to. She's become this figure of light and devotee to a Goddess like no other.

Now she's come a long way as to have her hands taken by the High Lord of Myllenoris and have her moments of freedom changed into a moment of gathering with someone that has held the same amount of love and affection as she did.

But as mentioned earlier. The Fox still had her nervous habits in that glowing body of hers. The tail that was a different color than her hair swayed behind her in quick intervals to show how she was feeling. It was no akin to a dog as it moved more elegantly.

However, there was more focus since Alexios was releasing his vows to her. The promises that he's made and a pinch of reminiscing in there as well. A pot of words that made her feel warm inside. Now it was her turn as guided by Finn.

"No one deserves to be shrouded in the dark with lies.. That is what I will avoid doing for you, dear. With this, you will know everything that I know and I couldn't wish for anything more.

We've gone through our own ups and downs as you said but if they ever seem to happen again. Just know they will be solved with a little patience that the both of us have and more.

But.. I know that if you fall in battles I will come to pick you up and vice versa. No one will harm you while I am around... Not when Jiuweihu's light is not watching over the both of us and Aschea making sure that the balance within our hearts is not tipped," she voiced, looking down as Alexios reached for her hands and a crystal sat upon their palms gleaming. The flaming thread on Yoshiko's chest would guide itself towards their palms and persist light into the crystal. Making it shine even brighter as Yoshiko begins to do.

"..." Her blue irises peer up at Alexios. "I, Yoshiko Taiyang, accept your heart and soul. Your the graceful winds that I hope to blow the right path for me. So I hope, that this will be a worthful union of us both." Beaming, her features would follow onto Finn to her the next part.

[17:56] Twilly stood there, a small smile on her face. Yoshiko is one of Twilly's oldest friends. One of the very first people to show her true kindness. Alexios is.. someone she's butted heads with for a bit, but she believes him to be a good friend of hers as well. To hear Alexio's vows, well, one portion brought a hushed giggle, the part about marrying them all.

To get a bit of their story, and the things they'd been through was nice to her. Hearing how their journey began, how their very souls danced around one another's.. It was something she wished she'd found, it's also something she's very happy that the two getting married had found within one another.

There had been a few times where Yoshiko and Twilly had spoken of relationship matters, back when Yoshiko thought she'd not find someone. Twilly was always there to tell her to not give up, and to remind her that she will one day find someone.

Due to recent news Twilly had learned, and things she will have to figure out, she's perhaps not as happy as she could be. Her eyes do not leave those up on the higher level, just remaining silent for miss Yoshi's words. She's hoping to hear the feelings that miss Yoshi has towards Alexios. The two both ARE after all, rather large influences on Twilly, and have both helped guide her in their own ways to being where she's at now.

She's curious as to what the bond truly holds between Teraphim and non Teraphim. A literal soul-mate? Not simply a play on words? Could that hold a deeper meaning than what a human can experience in terms of 'love?' Combined with the fragility of Teraphim hearts.. Twilly certainly hopes that both Yoshiko and Alexios would be okay. That at the very least they wouldn't have to go through the turmoil she's faced with.

When she listened to Yoshiko's words, her smile only grew wider. She then looked over towards Finn to see what comes next.. hopefully not another monster attacking like every other damn time there's a gathering.

[17:57] Finn's head bowed again with some finality as Yoshiko offered up her own vows, and at last he came to the conclusion of it all. "With your promises spoken and kept close to one another, you may now proceed with forming this union under the eyes of the spirits, one that will be accepted by the Vale and its inhabitants as well."

He turned back to Alexios and explained, "Open up your heart toward her and she will accept. They will meld together with a bridge and tether than will bind the two of you together. One heart, mind, and spirit from this day until the end of your days."

Some of the trees nearby began to rustle, their leaves flittering out toward the couple preparing to take this next step. The wind shifted course where it brought about the warm, beach breeze through those gathered here. For even if they weren't in the city itself, the spirits were still ever present to witness the ceremony of the Teraphim, and one as notable as the High Lord drew their attention out the most.

All the couple had to do now was accept one another.

[18:07] Having never witnessed, or done this before...

Finn's request of opening up his heart was a hard one to follow, so he only went with it the best way he could. Following those emotions, he felt deeply, which would surely be guided by Aschea to bond with another.

Releasing her hands, he brings one to his chest. That crystalline core of his begins to glow, that bright green essence which lights his body up. Even causing him to wince, and eyebrow to twitch. It was a heavy process, one he was not used to but willing to perform. That crown on his head even glows, that red gem enough to be blinding.

In which he steps forward, slow due to the pressure pulling down on his body. He could see all those spirits that had come, and hear the whispers of doubt. But none of those whispers would trick him, none of them would make him change his mind. As the true guidance he needed, was from Aschea alone.

Closing that gap between them both, he offers himself up to Yoshiko. And now it was down to her, to close that gap and embrace his heart. To bond their souls together, and share that rush of emotion.

The very wind begins to increase, enough to cause trees to bend. As Alexios's element is on display, the spirits take ahold of such a powerful connection. And in wait, that wind begins to circle the hill in which gazed over the sea... The spot that their souls would become one.

And if Yoshiko did? Such a moment could be draining, and heavy. Enough to make one's head spin, as so much had to be taken in. And even spirits to need rest, after forming such a bond.

[18:19] Here came the most important part.

The part that would permanent bond them together. Yoshiko was not knowledgeable on this part but she was open to anything new as long as it involved her beloved Alexios.

As much as she respected her own religion, she respected the Teraphims and would follow suit in their traditions of joining one's heart with the one you intend to spend the rest of your life with. It was only a matter of time before she could finally call Alexios her one and only husband.

But those same sky blue hues rested on Alexios. He came closer to the Kitsune and did something towards his chest that would cause him to finally open up. The bonding ritual that would certainly cause one to feel restless and drained but it was all worth it in the end. Even if Yoshiko had to go through with this as well.

However, the fox didn't exactly know what she had to do but one thing did come to mind. The gap was closed between them and Alexios's heart and core was there for her to take and connect with her own soul and heart. But as she remembers the way she reached out to Jiuweihu.

It was with an embrace.

Arms rose to wrap around Alexios and tightly squeeze his form. The best form of connection that she could ever think of. The sun-mark on her chest glowed brightly as she felt their cores connecting to one another. Yoshiko was accepting Alexios for what he was and is.

She could feel the drain on herself but she kept her grasp around the Teraphim. Eyes merely shrouded by their eyelids as she soon took this time to just rest against him.

Was this it? Yoshiko hoped for this would've been the most fulfilling she's felt in a long time.

[18:27] Finn couldn't help but offer up another one of his genuine, warm smiles. It was an expression and feeling that he had only managed in his life due to his own bond, and the love and care that flowed from Amy toward him. Such pride in Alexios taking this step forward was obvious, and it once more confirmed to the elder Terpahim that the future was bright and filled with hope.

"You are now unified, not only in the eyes of the people, but in the eyes of the great spirits as well. Your ultimate loyalties are toward one another, and from everyone gathered here, I offer our own joy in seeing such love blossom and grow."

He stepped out of the way now, the ceremony concluded, to allow for Alexios and Yoshiko to depart or say what they might to the rest. With the ritual finished, Finn stepped over near Amalia herself and took her hand into his idly as he took in the rest of the scene.

[18:34] Amalia smiled towards Finn warmly before her attention shifts towards the newly wedded couple, she gently squeezed Finn's hand before stepping forwards to look towards the two.

"As is custom at Teraphim weddings, I have of course brought the Cabbages of Consummation for the both of you." She would say towards the newly weds as the elder Teraphim steps forwards with a warm and joyous clip to her tone.

From what look to be a simple satchel at her side, two whole cabbages of average size are produced, one held out to each of them.

"Congratulations to you both!"

[18:37] Elizabeth takes a deep breathe. It seems the daughter has finally evolved into a miniature Asta at the end.

[18:41] Melina had been surprisingly silent and respectful for the entirety of the ceremony. Occasionally she had fidgeted, and even played around with the barsburgian device she had managed to get her hands on - for the ultimate prank.

But, in the presence of the two elder Ghedes she stayed her hand. Feet tapped against the grass, before her mother offered the cabbages. Perhaps now was the best time. The device was activated; from around the smaller Teraphim came a rustling of leaves and branches, as she took on the form of the fabled Bush Spirit then and there.

Leaves rustled, and a stick poked through to gently rub against the Kitsune's hand. It was itchy.

"youR BOnDinG HaS BEEN blesSED BY The BUSh spiriT!!! OoUUAAahUUugHhh!"

The stick was pulled back into the bush itself.

[18:43] The bonding process completes, and he felt heavy. To feel that connection to Yoshiko even stronger, it was hard to breathe at first. As piled on top of his own emotions, he felt hers. And those thoughts of theirs shared.

Sweat forms, but he takes a moment to gather himself in her arms. Squeezing back to hold her tight, and embrace his sun's warmth. His crystalline heart was now hers too. And their very souls, intertwined with each other.

Leaning out a little, he kisses Yoshiko. Before turning to the others, and keeping an arm wrapped around her waist. A smile present on his features, now that he had been bonded properly. All that worked, and time... And to remember those he lost before, to never forget them. He felt refreshed, and new again.

"Thank-you." Still a little tired from such a process, but he endured it. As that crown glowed brightly, representing his position as High Lord. "Finley... And Amalia. Even if we are not family, I consideryou both to be. Including Elisha, Melina, and any who are your children. You've all been good to me, even if I took on such a burden... You all guided me through it, and I can't show my appreciation enough-- Or how much it means to me, that you're here to witness today."

Nodding, he turns his gaze towards the crowd of people. Those that also took the time out of their day to come and witness such a ritual, as many might not see it again. "And thank you all for attending, and being witnesses to our bond. You're all fantastic, and strong... And I will continue to not let you down, as your High Lord-- As your friend."

Which is when eyes shift to Melina, laughing and smiling. "Thank-you, Bush spirit. Your blessing is welcomed, and I hope it makes our bond even stronger."

But... That would be the end of the wedding, as the ceremony is complete and his cabbage is retrieved. He looked like he had no idea what to do with the cabbage, so he just held it for now. "Cabbage..."

[18:53] Yoshiko let's Alexios do most of the talking since this was the end. She'd nod in appreciation for everyone coming out to watch them form their eternal union.

For now, it seemed Yoshiko was a bit more focused on the Bush spirit that poked at her hand with a stick. Lowering her head down, she stares at it. "..." The curious fox making another reappearance before that beam of a smile emerged on her features.

"Thank you, dear..."

Yoshiko booped one of their leaves and leaned back up against Alexios right after he kissed her. She couldn't wish for anything more than this.

She reaches for the Cabbage as it was given to her by Amalia and thanked her self-proclaimed mother. "Thank you." There was a mere glance given to Alexios. She sighed holding a faint smile knowing that he didn't know exactly what to do with the cabbage.

"Honey... You're suppose to eat it. The whole thing." Yoshiko would hold it up to her face like so and began taking large bites. She might've been the devotee of Jiuweihu but she was also a cook and loved to eat in large portions.

"Yum."

[18:54] Yoshiko speaks with a moutful of cabbage.

[18:55] Yoshiko Taiyang says, "Thannnk yo.."

[18:56] Elizabeth mir Amor says, "Ya know.. I don't recall in that old cabbage tradition Asta started that you were supposed to eat it.."
[18:56] Elizabeth mir Amor exclaims, "Can't recall though, but I still have that old cabbage she gave me somewhere!"
[18:57] She had blessed the happy couple and now? The bush disintegrated in front of them, the Ghede spinning about as leaves dropped to the ground. She'd soon enough join her parents however content at her role in the ceremony even if it was less official and more or less another one of her little tricks.

She mainly wanted to vacate from the sounds of rapid cabbage eating; she hated the smell of cabbage.

[18:57] Elizabeth mir Amor exclaims, "Oh! But it is tradition to give the happy couple their post-wedding gifts!"
[18:58] Amalia can't believe her daughter doesn't like cabbage, Myllenoris' main export.

[18:58] Yoshiko Taiyang asks, "Oh?"
[18:58] Elizabeth mir Amor says, "Amalia-sweety, it's nice seeing you and Finnley together after so many years~"
[18:58] Alexios Taiyang says, "Gift? You don't have to..."
[18:58] Elizabeth mir Amor exclaims, "Nonsense! Family and family friends can't let themselves slip on tradition!"
[18:59] Elizabeth mir Amor says, "Here.. This should definitely help sponsor not only Myllenoris, but also a little vacation for you two~"
[19:00] Alexios Taiyang says, "--."
[19:00] Alexios chokes.

[19:00] Elizabeth mir Amor asks, "..You okay Alexi?"
[19:00] Alexios Taiyang exclaims, "ARE YOU SURE, ELIZABETH?!"
[19:00] Yoshiko 's tail would pat their back. Until she started choking as well.

[19:01] Elizabeth mir Amor exclaims, "Huh- It was a small portion of my own fortune, but it's what family does! Just ask Amalia!"

[19:01] Twilly says, "Speaking of... time to grab some stuff.."
[19:01] Alexios Taiyang says, "OK..."
[19:01] Elizabeth mir Amor exclaims, "Oh- And this is for your shrine Miss Yoshiko. I hope you don't mind I rented a little room there!"
[19:01] Alexios Taiyang exclaims, "She just gave me one hundred thousand coins, how can I not choke?!"
[19:01] Yoshiko Taiyang says, "I just remembered.."
[19:02] Yoshiko Taiyang says, "There is someone else that owns a room without contacting me.."
[19:02] Yoshiko Taiyang says, "But.. thank you Elizabeth. It's not a problem."
[19:02] Elizabeth mir Amor says, "My apologies! It was just such a beautiful little place.."
[19:02] Alexios Taiyang says, "You'll have to remove them..."
[19:02] Alexios Taiyang says, "Oh? If it was Elizabeth."
[19:02] Alexios Taiyang says, "I'm sure you can talk it out."

[19:04] Elizabeth gave the now recently wedded couple a soft smile, taking a step forward and extending both her hands out to grab them into a surprise hug!

"Truly happy to see you two together, I'm proud! Though, to think only a month or so ago I was talking to Alexios of how excited I was to see a wedding happen.."

[19:04] Alexios huffs, but he brings an arm around to pat Elizabeth on the back in return. She had given them a lot for a wedding, even if they didn't ask for it. And the least he could do is return her hug with Yoshiko too.

[19:05] Yoshiko reaches out and accepts the hug. With the both of them. A three-way hug. It was fairly warm especially with Yoshiko providing that heat.

"Oh.. but I wasn't talking about Elizabeth that I was talking about.."

[19:05] Elizabeth mir Amor asks, "-Huh? Someone else lives in the Shrine?"
[19:06] Elizabeth mir Amor asks, "Oh! Is it that Ghost Teraphim girl?"

[19:06] Yoshiko Taiyang says, "No.."

[19:06] Melina Ghede exclaims, "THERE'S A GHOST TERAPHIM?!"

[19:06] Elizabeth mir Amor exclaims, "Mhmm!"
[19:07] Elizabeth mir Amor exclaims, "It was at the starfall tower place. She appeared from the trees and gave me a little surprise!"
[19:07] Elizabeth mir Amor says, "I tried to touch her thinking she was a lost child, but my hand phased right through."
[19:07] Melina Ghede says, "Whaaaaat."
[19:07] Melina Ghede says, "I gotta check that out."
[19:07] Alexios Taiyang says, "I've no idea who it is, but we should find out..."
[19:08] Azalea says, "...Odd."
[19:08] Elizabeth mir Amor exclaims, "I think as long.. As you respect the trees and nature around, she shouldn't be aggressive. We had a good little conversation about how pretty it was there before she vanished!"
[19:08] Alexios Taiyang asks, "To move without being in an object? Strange... Maybe they're ahead of you?"
[19:08] Alexios was talking to himself.
