  2. ...and if you have ideas on how those of us who would rebuke or intentionally not respond could interact - i specifically asked what would actually happen besides people around them changing, it's here - i'd love some input.

  5. cuddlebug and now that i've seen this - i've sent you over a response, but i think i focused more on part two of the event when you brought up part one here! the answers i gave there still stand, but i tried to make a few prompts "rebuke" specific on the [part 1] writeup itself

  8. with that said, i definitely want people to be able to participate, and i'm concerned that as written the first log may or may not be at that point. if you don't mind me asking here - what would you be looking for in this first log?

  11. I stepped away from my laptop so will reply there later but yes, your reply on the post is exactly what I was asking -- if there are active rebuke-specific prompts even on part one that's great too! It seems like the first half as someone rebuking is by nature reactive, watching the changes in everyone else, which is fine if there's a stand to take later.

  14. But as I don't have much remaining cr, what I'd be looking for... hmm. Probably reasons to make the deal, honestly? Like if survival seemed unlikely without doing so, for whatever reason. Something to entice my character outside of personal issues, you know? You cited actual changes to the station itself which might do the trick.

  17. I expect a lot of potential cr and action potential will be dependent on what people's top levels look like.

  20. YEAH, that's honestly a huge part of it - i think top-levels are going to be a lot of what prompt things off here. i've tried to lay out a lot of the options and setting shifts in both event logs, but those aren't necessarily enough if the top-levels don't give some strong hooks :|a hmmmm

  23. His pain and inner conflict motivate him, so while he struggles with things he wouldn't let them go/let an outside force in to fix them. So he'll definitely rebuke, but if there are setting shifts that endanger them somehow it'll be more interesting and that wasn't mentioned in the post but is very good to know.

  26. Not to make this about me me me but again I suspect this character mindset would apply to lots of players who wouldn't otherwise engage.

  29. So just discussing from my perspective to help, if I can.

  32. iiii think i could add a very "active" hook to the IC log and run it by the mods, regarding what you mentioned - a deal for immediate survival, potentially giving a "negative" reason to change while still potentially remaining with the "rebuke" side later. is that something you'd want to hold onto for a top-level on your end, or would you like the explicit option in the writeup?
  33.
  34. ♀ ᴠᴇɴᴜs ♀ 30 minutes ago
  35. oh yeah, one of the prompts is explicitly the station starting to go wrong, even before part 2 shifts it into Hell Mode

  38. I think an outside motivator to deal would help a lot of people for whom personal issue wouldn't push their character to consider it, yeah. Most probably still would not, but that also opens up a "find another way to survive this" path. This write up makes it sound like business as usual besides the radio screams, you know?

  41. yeah, totally got you! thank you so much for talking this over - i think having something like that clearly available would definitely give more people more options
