  1. =====Dream Of Ruins and Orchid======
  2. Once upon a time I dreamed we were sitting there on the outskirts of a long forgotten city.
  3. ------------------------------------
  4. Buildings of white marble and stone turned gray by the layers of dust gathered over the ages. It looked Roman. Lots of domes, archways, and columns but it was located The only sources of light were a flashlight and herself. Surveying the rooftops and raised platforms of a cityscape of a forgotten name, she stood by curiously. At her hooves was a small figure with a flashlight. Her ears flicked in time with the flashlight's waving beam, listening for anything, though they only things alive in a massive underground cavern. The kaiju turned her view downwards as the companion moved forward to start exploring the ruins.
  5.
  6. Orchid could not follow because she was too big to fit through the narrow streets and tripping on ancient buildings would be a fine way to mess up the expedition Instead, she watched the person with the flashlight go down a street and turn left around a building. Moments after he left the blue glow of her eyesight and slipped down a dark alleyway, there came a thud in the distance. Something caused a large structure nearby to collapse. Orchid couldn't see the explorer. She approached the space between two buildings where he was but they had also collapsed. She could hear him coughing hard in the debris cloud. He was alive, but the distraught kaiju could not see him or the flashlight beam and no matter how hard she listened she heard his voice echoing off of all the broken stone. Time was ticking and she was worried more might collapse or he might get crushed or pinned under the rubble.

  8. Orchid went near the edge of the slowly expanding cloud of dust and moved her tail into the cloud. It was an alien feeling. Like she could feel it, but not really command it. It seemed to just do whatever she was thinking about it doing. The tail split apart into individual glow-tipped hairs and fanned out over the space in front of her. They moved side to side together, staying rigid and letting her feel over the objects inside the cloud. She could saw the little blue lights moving back and forth, sweeping until one of the lights seemed to get caught on something. She felt a little tug on what she could guess was her tail dock, like if someone brushed a hand through her hair.
  9.
  10. The blue lights all snapped to the source of the feeling and wrapped around it. They pulled upwards out of the cloud, which had gotten to about level with her whithers.
  11.
  12. It was the explorer. He was coughing terribly, even out of the cloud. She didn't get anything more than a silhouette wrapped in the blue wires and little fiberoptic lights. He was so covered in dust that even when she tried to look the explorer over she didn't see any real details of him.
  13.
  14. But he kept coughing. She brought him back out to the outskirts and safely away from the dust cloud but and she couldn't help him further. Even when she set him back down he looked unsteady on his feet while he hacked and coughed. Orchid wasn't sure what to do so she sat down on her haunches and just watched him suffer. It was painful to be so helpless as she was too scared she could somehow hurt him worse if she tried to comfort him somehow. She was locked in place, unable to do anything. It was a rather sad dream.
