 Myth vs. Fact: A Closer Look at SharkBite Behind the Wall & Underground
When you’re in the field, you don’t have time to worry about whether or not your equipment will stand up to the job -- especially if you’re plumbing behind a wall or underground. With hundreds of products and solutions to choose from, and just as many opinions from your industry peers about the right way to plumb, it can be challenging to figure out which method will work best for you. In this article, we’ll address common concerns regarding SharkBite in these applications, and dispel some of the myths you may hear in the field.
Myth: “SharkBite fittings are only good for short term repairs and need to be replaced by permanent connections.”
Fact: SharkBite fittings are approved by the Uniform Plumbing Code and International Plumbing Code for permanent installation.
Properly installed SharkBite fittings provide permanent connections, backed by a 25-year warranty against any manufacturer’s defect as long as the item has been installed according to installation instructions and compliant with local code. SharkBite Universal fittings are specifically designed to ensure permanent connection, and aren’t intended to be disconnected and reconnected repeatedly. In fact, the only way to properly remove SharkBite Universal fittings is to use the SharkBite disconnect tongs and disconnect clips.
Myth: “Don’t trust an o-ring seal in concealed space.”
Fact: Contractors who use SharkBite find it to be a dependable and safe solution in concealed spaces, including behind the wall and underground.

Presents
Presents were objects on the water in the 2019 Christmas Event. You could turn them in at the Santa's Grotto in the Lobby for limited time objects.
Presents have also appeared in the 2020 Christmas event on balloons that you have to shoot down
Presents have also appeared as a currency during the 2021 Christmas event, which were obtained by inputting certain four-digit numerical codes into the SharkBite Arcade Machine. These codes could be obtained on broken clocks, which are found by popping balloons.
There are 3 types of presents

  A red and white present that hangs from a red and white balloon that awards 1 present when collected.
  A green and white present that hangs from a red and green balloon that awards 2 presents when collected.
  A gold and white present with a purple sparkle effect that hangs from a red and yellow balloon that awards 4 presents when collected.
