  1. Welcome!
  2.
  3. The Osu!Noobs Tournament is a 1 day 1v1 elimination tournament that lasts for about 3-5 hours open for players between the ranks of #500,000 - #100,000. If you were within the 500k-100k range when you signed up, but no longer find yourself within those ranks when the tournament starts, you can't participate (NOTE: In terms of private server, this roughly corresponds to 0-2345pp, which means if you have more than 2345pp on any private server which is not Relax, then you cannot enter). If you're still unsure of your eligibility, here's a quick cheat sheet:

  5.
  6. The tournament is biweekly, and on the "off-week," there will be a stream discussing the mappool before it is released. Signups will open right AFTER the mappool showcase.
  7.
  8. As is said in the forum post, you need to sign up on challonge and register for the tournament through the link provided. After that type your challonge name and osu! name in the #register channel to make finding your accounts easier, also report your rank on any unofficial servers there. There is a 32 player limit, and it is first come first serve. Remember, the tournament is Double Elimination, meaning you need to lose twice to be out, so don't quit after your first loss!

  12. After the tournament officially starts, check who your opponent is on the bracket. To start your match with them one of you has to create a lobby named "O!NT: (Your name) vs (Opponent's name)" (the parentheses need to be there) and invite each other. Match settings should have the Win Condition as Score V2 and Head-to-Head.
  13.
  14. In case your opponent hasn't responded to you after ~10 minutes, post in #confirm-scores "@Generic is afk". If your opponent doesn't answer dm's or @'s after 5 minutes of you posting in #confirm-scores, you win by default.
  15.
  16. Once inside the creator of the room must write !mp addref girantinas and !mp addref Joryan_Inkling in order to ensure that the stream can see your picks and bans. After that use !roll to see who's the first to pick a map (either lowest or highest wins, you may discuss this with your opponent). Only choose maps from the map pool. Maps under HR must use HR, maps under DT must use DT etc.

  18.
  19. At the beginning of the match, both players choose to ban 1 map. After both players have been the host, have chosen a map and played it, the bans are lifted and the players choose another 1 map to ban and continue as above. The same map can't be banned twice in the same match. --P1 bans one map -> P2 bans one map -> Host chooses map -> Host rotate -> Host chooses map -> Bans reset-- (In this case a round is defined as two songs and host rotates after every song played)
  20.
  21. All non-finals and grand finals are BO5, which means first to win 3 maps wins. In case of a 2-2 tie, the tiebreaker map is used.
  22. Finals and grand finals are BO7, which means there is another round and it's first to 4 maps. All the same rules apply, just with an extra round. Challonge will say at the top of the round what number of maps a match is best out of.
  23. There are bracket resets, meaning if you win the loser's bracket and then win against the winner of winner's bracket, you have to beat him one more time in order to win the tournament. There will be a short 10 minute break in between both matches.
