[00:47] Lemuria gazed into Blake's eyes, her eyes shining blue. Her illusion magic was utilized to its fullest extent, as the image- and physical sensation of- flames engulfed both his body and her own. It was an illusion that would carry on, with no end in sight, until Blake managed to force it out of their own mind.

"This is what will happen if you and I are found out. This is what fate will befall you if you let anyone know you are an occultist or desire to be a witch."

No, it wouldn't just linger; the pain intensified.

"Do I make myself clear, Blake? Or must I actually set you on fire so you understand how bad of a fuck up this could turn out to be?"

[00:54] With the illusion hitting their mind, it was enough for them to realize just how upset their big sister was. It was indeed, a potential fuck up to get so close to someone in the order---even a Cadet, at such a vulnerable state. When the illusion pulsed through the teen's mind, they couldn't help but to wince, their body trembling from the pain they endured from the illusion.

When it hit, they began to cry, quite visibly at that. Hurting as they saw their body ignited and felt s if their flesh was starting to burn off. Their own occult aura lashed out with a screech! A flicker enough to dispel the illusion. But the message was clear.

And instead of running away? Blake ran toward Lemuria, teary eyed and flopping their had and arms onto their elder sister's lap. "I-I'm sorry Lemuria. I love you, big sister. I promised I'd do my best to never put you at risk. No one will ever step foot in this house again without your permission. I promise! Forgive me for having him upstairs. I'm sorry. I'm so-so sorry for disobeying you... bringing someone here." They began to sob, and sniffle, like a scared child feeling utter shame and disappointment in themselves, for having potentially put their caregiver at risk.

"Punish me if you feel I need it."

[01:04] Lemuria released the illusion, but rather than letting them go, Lemuria reached up towards Blake's throat and grasped it, hauling him up into the air. This was anger, yes. She was very, very upset at the events that transpired. But...

"You fail to understand, Blake."

...it wasn't the kind of upset that the youth thought.

"I am not upset because you put me in danger. I am upset because I care about you. Because you put yourself in danger. I can protect myself from most accusations, but you yourself can not. I will not tolerate it if you allow the Order to put your life in danger."

Her grip tightened, reflecting her anger at the order more than it did Blake, despite the fact that it was their airway that would be restricted, and their throat that would be in pain. This was, in a twisted sense, anger born of compassion.

"I will not lose you to those passionless, weak-minded, cowardly DOGS!"

"I will sooner tear your throat out myself than let you burn at the hands of those I hate."

"DO I MAKE MYSELF CLEAR?!"

[01:09] The throat grab was unexpected, and how tight it was, and who it came from, the teen allowed themselves to be lifted, their eyes both scared and sorrowful, staring at the glowing pair of their sister's. Potentially, Blake could have fought back. Potentially, they could have resisted and ran away as instincts dictated.

But their logic, and their love for their sister, their home--- was enough to make their orphan stay, even as their throat was choked, and their face turned colors. The anger wasn't at Blake for maybe risking Lemuria's safety--- it was at risk of their own safety. Their sister's love for them shown in such a vicious way.

"Y-Yes... Ma'am." The words struggling to escape the lips of the once-orphaned teen as genuine tears rolled down their eyes. What were they to do, but to take such scolding? It was the discipline they needed to be kept in check. Not only as a student being disciplined by their mentor, but a younger sibling disciplined by their older sister and caregiver.

[01:18] Lemuria loosened her grip, allowing Blake to fall to the ground. Both her eyes and her aura returned to normal, and yet the intensity in her expression remained.

"You... Alita... Phobos. I am not going to tolerate losing any of you. Especially you."

The understanding of the importance others held for Lemuria changed her. However, she was still an occultist. Her mindset was permanently altered by her utilization of such magic. As such, the care and love she was starting to feel for others was filtered through a lens of hatred, anger, despair, fear, and paranoia. Her feelings were genuine, and they were mostly positive, but...

"Do what it takes to survive. I do not care what. Do not take risks just because it fits your 'plan' better. Witches are those who weave hexes and alter the world around them. We form pacts with demons and curse the very land others walk on."

...the desire to destroy things and tear apart the natural order was now a part of who she was, and it was reflected even in something as positive, life altering, and beautiful as love.

"But we do not get caught up in ego-driven schemes. In grand plans or ambitions. We indulge. We make the world our own. But we need not put ourselves on the line to manipulate it in such a way."

Such is the nature of that which can only be called profane.

[01:24] Being dropped to the ground Blake took a moment to cough, to let air properly flow into their lungs once more. TO let their had droop down in submission to Lemuria's guidance and words. Blake was still a teenager. Still an apprentice, and still prone to making silly mistakes. But now they knew thy needed to make it a goal to make this mistakes not jeopardize their life unnecessarily.

A witch was an occultist who was powerful, walked amongst the shadows and manipulated the world around them to do their bidding. Raw force was a last option. Or so it seemed that was the message Blake was getting form this.

But this entire scenario sure put the fear of the Lord of Helheim in Blake. "I... I understand now." The teen muttered. Not yet rising. Not yet daring to look Lemuria in the eyes, knowing what angered expression likely rested upon her face.

"I won't put myself in unnecessarily risky situations. I don't want to hurt you."

[01:28] Lemuria placed her hand over her face, covering it, her intense, fearsome expression shifting to a twisted facsimile of a smile.

"I am glad we can understand each other, Blake."

[01:29] Blake Augustus says, "I-I love you too."

[01:31] Lemuria pat Blake on the head, smiling at him. The smile couldn't be further away from warm, though. It was every bit as twisted and dark as one would expect given the context.

It was, quite literally, the smile of someone who would murder a person that they loved.
