The Opalescent Librarium

Beneath Minchin's Academy in Burgess there is a door that leads to the Opalescent Librarium. The Library is guarded by wards that invite those who wish to pursue magical knowledge to come and explore. From the Academy there is a small stone door that once opened leads to a long hallway. The writing on the stone doors says the invitation. A long time ago anti-magic people tried to destroy the library leaving some evidence of attempted destruction however the spells protecting the place prevailed.

An Anti-Witchcraft/Magic prayer / ritual was conducted leading those like Damian to discover red lighted writing on the entrance trying to protect the outside world. Once Damian enters though the ritual will be broken and the original text inviting those to come in and seek knowledge can be seen.

Appearance:

The Library is a circular room with at least 2 doors and sometimes more leading from it. The main room has a high vaulted ceiling that shows the sky in places and different times as wished by the user. During the nighttime a silver orb gives a gentle light and crystals dot the ceiling in place of stars. Occasionally one can see the Aurora reproduced by magic. During the daytime the room it lit by a warm glowing light. The floor has a compass rose patten and is made of stone.

In the center of the room is a pedestal whose writing changes based upon who is present. Atlantean is the default. Upon the Pedestal is a box containing a crystal necklace that works as a magical focal point, and a book detailing the history of the Librarium. The pedestal can also serve as a portal of sorts to those who are in possession of the necklace if need be.

There are hundreds and thousands of other books lining the walls in various languages all about magic, magical creatures, and other things about Imanginaria.

The other doors lead to rooms that can change based on need. They also are stocked with books, but can become practice rooms for magical studies among other things. There are more than 1 way to enter the library and things like North's snowglobe and other magical ways could pave the path to get to the Librarium.

History:

The Librarium was constructed by one of Ombric's students Sascha, who decided before she passed to collect information of magic and lore from all over the world and pass down Ombric's teachings. The Librarium's existence is not secret but easily forgotten.

When exploring Minchin's Academy, Alice Wakefield and Damian Hallows discovers the Librarium and Alice begins to attempt to learn how to use magic using the crystal. A remnant of Sascha appears to them, entrusting them to use and invite others to use the Libraruim responsibly.
