  38. Powers
  39. The Sight (-1)
  40. Even without transforming, Sylvie has the ability to hazily view reality's symbolic underpinnings in a way that is at the same time revealing and frustratingly nonsensical. Objects and places of significance appear with a distinguishable layer of symbolic visual content overlaying them. A common office worker or his totally mundane desk will appear as normal, but the CEO of a powerful company that funds imperialistic ventures in the 3rd world may appear with the trappings of conquest - a crown and conquistador style dress, perhaps stained with blood.
  41. Human Shape (+1) - governs Channeling
  42. Sylvie is a magical girl. Her evocation only works in her transformed state.
  43. Channeling (-2) - Oneiromancy
  44. Dream magic, as noted in her high concept aspect.
  45. Item of Power (+2) - dream journal; governs Demesne and Worldwalker
  46. Sylvie has a dream journal she is supernaturally compelled to record her (very infrequent) sleeping adventures in. As it is filled out, it creates new locales in a supernatural demesne she is able to access by ripping open rifts into the dreamworld.
  47. Demesne (-1)
  48. Worldwalker (-2)
  49.
  50. Stunts
  51. Did You Know I Can Full Combo Fascination?
  52. +2 on Athletics checks for quick footwork, though this does not apply if moving more than a very short distance
  53.
  54. Focus Items
  55. Dreamer's glasses
  56. +1 to offensive power and offensive control in evocation
  57.
  58. Rote Spells
  59. The Dreamlands Overflow
  60. Type: Evocation, offensive attack
  61. Effect: 3 stress physical attack on everything in one zone
  62. Power: 5 shifts
  63. Control: Roll Discipline plus specializations and focus items
  64. Opposed By: Target's Athletics, Magical Blocks, etc
  65.
  66. High Concept Aspect: Evertired Deliriumwalker
  67.
  68. Sylvie's magical power is dependent on her state of sleep deprivation and exhaustion, and the effects she is able to evoke are thematically related to dreams and delirium, specifically their effect to distort and obscure meaning rather than reveal it. The more sleep deprived she is, the more she walks the subtle line between wakefulness and sleep, the more intensely her deliriums become and the more they slip into reality and can be roughly directed with her magical powers. Fortunately for her, she gets sleepy more easily than most, as she isn't as firmly rooted in the waking world as normal people are. Being completely lucid wipes out Sylvie's magical ability, so maintaining a (un)healthy level of sleep deprivation is the only way to ensure she can act at full magical strength.
  69.
  70. Invoke Examples: Casting magic of course; her unrootedness to waking reality also allows her to better cope with reality-warping, magically charged zones
  71. Compel Examples: Magic fails if she's too awake; her dream magic tends to leak out and make her life miserable in various ways
  72.
  73. Trouble Aspect: Echoes of a Murder Long Past
  74.
  75. One of Sylvie's DDR teammates, Zakiya, was recruited shortly after the mysterious murder of one a member of Zakiya's old team. The circumstances suggested confusing conclusions to the investigating police team. The sheer kinetic force that was involved in the collateral damage as well as some of the particulars of the damage done point toward weapons and equipment that would have left other evidence at the scene that was instead absent. Years later, after magical phenomena became known to Sylvie for the first time, it became apparent to her that another magical girl/boy like herself must have done it. Whoever it was, they're now committing murders with much the same method, and Sylvie has booked a flight herself to investigate...
  76.
  77. Invoke Examples: Sylvie will put extra oomph into whatever she's doing if it'll help her find out what happened...
  78. Compel Examples: Obviously, this murderer isn't going to take too kindly to being searched for...
  79.
  80. Phase One - Origin
  81.
  82. Aspect: Professional DDR Player Here - Call Me "Matsuri"
  83.
  84. Born to busy workaholic parents with a hands-off approach to parenting, her father a Japanese diplomat and her mother a French diplomat, Sylvie has had more than enough time to pursue any eccentric passions she desires. One day spectating at a DDR tournament in Tokyo carved intricate delusions of grandeur in Sylvie's teenage mind, and she jumped on the opportunity to join a DDR team herself when an arcade buddy of hers, Cynthia Gosingtian, formed The 321 Stars. The 321 Stars are a modestly successful competitive DDR team that travels around the world searching for moderately-sized tournaments where they can eke out some success. The team is currently on hiatus following the winning of a large cash prize from their last tournament - they didn't manage to take first, but they were high up in the rankings.
  85.
  86. Other Members:
  87. The Ringleader: Cynthia "Exotic Ethnic" Gosingtian (also "in" on magic)
  88. The Reluctant Compatriot: Aldric "Tsugaru" Mizushima (also "in" on magic)
  89. The Sponsor: Ambessa "Witch Doctor" Campbell
  90. The Rescued Maiden: Zakiya "Ever Snow" Baer
  91. The Infomonkey: Sen "B4U" Zhang (not magical, but he's vaguely aware of some supernatural curiosities)
  92.
  93. Invoke Examples: She's really fucking good at DDR
  94. Compel Examples: Her magical escapades often drag team members into trouble, or the other magically inclined team members drag HER into trouble
  95.
  96. Phase Two - Rising Conflict
  97.
  98. Aspect: Exhaustion Only Makes Me Stronger!
  99.
  100. Came into her magical nature back in Paris after an exhausting late-night trip to the arcade with Cynthia. Luckily for Sylvie, Cynthia was a magical girl herself and quickly recognized what was happening, lending a helping hand in her first magical circumstance. An out-of-control accidental first evocation powered by Sylvie's sleep deprivation left the city block in shambles, but the spell managed to destroy the magical monster that was attacking the two girls - ironically enough a creature bourne of Sylvie's own dreams.
  101.
  102. Invoke Examples: Sylvie pratically lives her life in one extended sleep deprived haze - she's more than capable of working through any level of physical exhaustion
  103. Compel Examples: She has terrible sleeping habits and will attempt to stay up far later than it is wise; At any given time she is more likely than not sleep deprived - this aspect can be compelled to declare that she has not had enough sleep lately; While she's capable of staying awake through exhaustion, being sleep deprived does terrible things to one's perception and alertness...
  104.

  117. Whose Story Was This? Who Else Was In It?: <campaign specific>
  118.
  119. Aspect: Dance Dance Revolution Is a Life Skill, You Know
  120.
  121. <campaign specific>
  122.
  123. Invoke Examples: Agility!; Endurance!; Hey reading those blazing fast arrows all the time helps with other visual tasks, you know; Is NOT invoked for additional bonuses to playing DDR itself, just for applying its skills to other parts of life
  124. Compel Exammples: Keeping up DDR skills means long hours at the arcade and the temptation to venture there makes for an easy distraction as well as a predictable behavior for anyone setting traps for her...
  125.
  126. Phase Five - Guest Star Redux
  127. Story Title: Moonlight Shadow
  128. Whose Story Was This? Who Else Was In It?: <campaign specific>

  132. <campaign specific>
  133.

  135. Compel Examples: You know how much pseudoscience is in these novels? Whoops
