- The “Charisma” play-style - Impressionists (God this will get confusing I’ll just call them Sensates) and Externalists is the sort of playstyle for those who want to max out their charismatic aura and ability to get along with people, and to tap into the ambient psychic energy of the society that we of course all live in. This type of style might come off as pretty damn normie and a good chunk of them are in fact normies. However their abilities mostly comes down to their ability to gather up an ambient amount of goodwill from other people and to exploit that for their own ends if they’re cunning and devious enough. This play-style is pretty generalist as a whole, though Sensates is far more offensive and fast than the more reactive Impressionist play-style. If you are gunning for charisma and influence, you should probably go for Externalists, if you want raw-sex appeal and a more dynamic and vivid playstyle that is most certainly about setting their own particular pace instead of the more reactionary flow-state that the more centrists types can find themselves in, then you’ll want to play as a Sensate.
- Sensate - There is not much information on this type from the dataminers, this type is pretty elusive and can blend themselves anywhere in society. However from what I could gather this type is the sort that exists within the ecosystems of society, being the raw filter of it’s madness and chaos. This type is pure offense even on defense, even more so than the Pure Instinct type, as the Sensate’s raw impression of the world is probably the most “pure” in the sense that they let their minds wander just far enough for them to be able to touch the possibilities. This type is the most connected to the raw human impulse and nerves, including the ones inside of the mind. Allowing just enough thought inside of their head for them to be able to ride the waves wherever it goes. Whenever it comes to raw perception, this type could not be beaten by any other type, and thus they have the ability to impose their own form of mental impression down onto something within an instant. This type’s charisma is a far more raw and unfiltered version of it that seems to have no real conception or plan for what they actually plan or what, they simply do while having a vague idea in their head. They do however immediately establish themselves and their gameplan almost immediately, without even thinking about it. There is more of an awareness of the intangibles, but this type brings those intangibles to the tangible, and gives it its taste and flavor. The weakness of this type is pretty clear to those who meet them, such a creature of images and flow could not get along very well within the society of words, the spiritual hobo without a home and the type that would reject any sort of home given to it. This type could not justify itself, it has no real defense as they only believe in the attack and the swiftness of that attack. Oftentimes they do have a form of persona of their own, their own lifestyle and shit. Though it is the pure embodiment of that lifestyle, that sheer desire to become completely one with their senses is what gives them the most intense connection to their body, and hell even the mind and body of them all. The Sensate is the connection between the lizard brain and the brain of higher society. Acting as a whole, making a mockery of what society is, instead of what it could’ve been.
- The “Calm” sub-style - This type is more of a quick-striker that looks downright inert at times, but without even thinking, this type could immediately arrest the scene with their own physiological impulses, forever altering the course of society within an instant. This type’s defense is the sheer threat of it’s offense potential.
- The “Intense” sub-style - This type immediately makes a scene and keeps their eyes focused solely on them, they desire no followers, nor will they have them. They imprint themselves onto society at large and create a huge “them” sized shape for them. Ironically this type is the most defensive sort that you could pick, as it goes for sheer charisma and mind-sensual pressure over going for that perfect impression.
- Externalists - This type is perfectly situated in order to gather a crowd, not only due to their ability to listen to others but for them to also be able to get into the mind frame of the popular crowd and to even be able to dictate what is or isn’t popular itself. This is the type that is more often than not a powerful ringleader in the society because of their natural inclinations. This doesn’t mean that even this type can find themselves down into the dumps away from normalcy due to some quirk they have or another. They may find themselves having the ability to create their own vision of society due to their more broad perspective on things, although this vision won’t necessarily have the totality that is more lexical (and probably) more lateral too. Still this is often times more of a boon than a bane, as they do not get distracted by the details and are mostly just focused on the “heart” of the issues at hand. This type can also be pretty strategic at times too, without really even coming up with concrete plans and thus a lot of the better generals out there might be this type. Society certainly values this type, but the network of society itself will often find this type coming to blows with it too, as there are many more actors and decisions to things outside of raw popularity. This type often doesn't consciously think about the exact mechanics of what they’re going about doing, many times they seek power and glory but some might genuinely be themselves and have the mental flexibility for them to grasp what is at the heart of things in any sort of group. This type does not have many weaknesses and a lot of strengths going for it, making it a very envied type to play (despite some people maybe thinking it’s overrated) but one that I personally think they might have is the one that the centrist types do, but this type particularly exemplifies this weakness. They aren’t exactly the most active or particularly scene shaping type there is. They can take advantage of whatever ambient psychological phenomenon that the society is going through at the moment, but they can’t exactly use their own will to actually make their own version of society that is particularly truly theirs. There is always some intermingling and sacrifice going on with this type, as their persona that they adopt is ever flowing. It might even be a form of cowardice in some ways. This weakness could be circumvented by a strong will, but this type might not even really view that fact as a weakness per say. It might be viewed as fake, but I personally think that they are just wisest to the fact that everything in society is fake and also gay.
- The “Calm” sub-style - This type is most apt to subtly change the course of the spectacle without much effort at all, even the relatively unpopular types can make big changes in social groups without much mental effort at all. This type can often fall into the trap of being unable to really utilize their powers for offensive purposes though. This type has a lot more of a focus on support abilities, often in the more intangible ways that go unnoticed such as morale and their ability to cast aside anxiety with their personality.
- The “Intense” sub-style - This type has a much more aggressive hold over their audience, this often doesn’t even really come from any desire to be well liked, they are oftentimes just liked for no particular reason whatsoever outside of their raw-charisma. The often overlooked non-social strengths of this type comes through (though calm shares this as well), is the fact that this type is pretty hard to keep down in one place and have enough sense of self to do whatever they want to do and have everyone willingly go along with them (if they’re in-tune with society enough). This sub-type can find themselves being exiled from society much more readily than the more subdued Calm type though, which they might even want to do.
