  5. 2. What Family does your character belong to?
  6. Kitsuki Family
  7. 3. Is your character a bushi, a shugenja, or a courtier?
  8.
  9. A shugenja trained by the Dragonfly seers
  10. 4. How would others describe your characters appearance?
  11.
  12. A young lady dressed in very lithe, plain garnments. A few white streaks betray her otherwise black hair. She keeps her eyes closed, and an expression of deep serenity and patience that makes the room feel at ease
  13. 5. What is your character's primary motivation?
  14. To prove her worth to her family. Divination gifts are seldom seen as useful among the fact-oriented Kitsuki. Even though she's been a diligent student, and a gifted one at that, she's always felt ignored and brushed aside.
  15. 6. Who is the person your character trusts most in the World?
  16. Her servants, as heimin have very little reason to put out outward appearances beyond respect and no political favors to gain, and children are particularly sincere.
  17. 7. What is your character's greatest strength and weakness?
  18. She'd think her greatest strength is her ability to diligently follow the teachings of her school and family. In actuality, her greatest strength lies in her ability to accept hardship as it comes, and a wisdom beyond her years.
  19. She believes her weakness to be her inability to protect herself, and reliance on others. In reality, her biggest weakness is her naiveté and deep desire for fulfillment.
  20. 8. What does your character think of bushido?
  21. She holds the values of bushido dearly, but is to an extend dissilussioned by the lack of fullfilment they provide, and the dissonance between the codes of bushido and courtly politics.
  22. She considers Gi (Honesty and Justice) to be a simplification of reality, and ultimately an avoidance of responsibility: If things were white and black, judgement would be easy, and thus unimportant.
  23. The most important virtue of Bushido is Jin (Compassion), and she deeply believes in the samurai class' role in bringing order, peace, and ultimately happyness and enlightment to the world.
  24. 9. What is your character's opinion of his clan?
  25. While she admires the spiritual retirement and peace of the Dragon Clan, and is a fervent defender of these ways over courtly politics and struggles for power, she worries that her clan will forget their duties towards the lesser people as samurai, leaving them to less virtuous samurai.
  26. Furthermore, she dislikes the contradiction of the seclusion of the monastic orders of the Dragon, and the wandering nature of Shinsei, believing that they deepen this disconection and navel-gazing.
  27. In this regard, she is extremelly simpathetic with the Agasha family.

  44. 18. What is your character's highest ambition?
  45. She's too humble to be ambitious, but for certain she desires for something more: Even if she were revered and respected, she feels a deep lack of purpose that is not fulfilled with her current duties, like something is amiss in her existance. Most frustratingly, she's unable to know what.
  46. 19. How religious is your character?
  47. Though raised by a family with values heavily influenced by the Tao of Shinsei, and respects Shintao as a whole, as a shugenja she has trouble accepting the exceedingly self-reflecting nature of it, since she can directly interact with the kami. Instead, she has taken a bigger reverence to the Fortunes, and while she regards Enlightment as an admirable goal, she regards it as just an extension of human understanding, that only makes sense if seen within a bigger picture.
  48. Most of her duties as a priest align with her personal beliefs, and spends a good ammount of time seeing to the worship of fortunes and the kami.
