  4. In the Alik'r Desert, amidst dunes unending, lies a suspicious tower of Dwemer craft. For ages, scholars have tried and failed to figure out its purpose. Great care seems to have been put into it. Recently, however, with new innovations, scholars were able to figure out the magitechnic purpose behind it. It appears to be solely dedicated to a Great Lift, which have been used in the Kragen clan's cities in Skyrim. Curiously, the mage who got it working went down and never resurfaced. Later, metallurgic surveying through talented spellcasters revealed something peculiar - there is no bottom. Indeed, this lift goes downward as far as possible, it seems. Inscriptions around the middle rings reveal the name of it; Zngthar-Mnethm. It has no known translations, but it oddly bares some resemblance to phrasings used by the Marukhati Selectives. This could fuel the Dragon Break thesis, which is documented elsewhere. Nevertheless, other translations are solved but disputed.
  5. One line may be interpreted as "...And travel unto the Memory Ocean, where farewell [is] abundant", or "...And travel unto the Great Machine, [where] none bid goodbye". They are greatly different. One interpretation thinks this Great Machine is the fabled Clockwork City. Others yet say this is the historic root for the term "waters of Oblivion" and that it indeed acts as an interplanar portal. Whatever the case, people of several interpretations are starting to believe that this is where the Dwemer have gone. I must say, I am very interested. I have an appointment scheduled soon. If the Dwemer truly are at the heart of Nirn, I want to be one to see!
