- +artistphilb __ Yes - the term "apophenia" would be more appropriate than "pareidola" for this situation if the event were real and that Terran had pointed out nothing.
- Mind you - if you were to enact a fabricated event then it would be wise to insert a few connections like what +Terran Downvale has pointed out so as to lead people like yourself to conclude "apophenia".
- Given that the phenomena associated with the term apparently describes the "onset of schizophrenia" _what better way to turn family and friends against a person *who just happens to be more perceptive than they?*_
- What I still want to know is how you distinguish between *genuine connections* and worthless random ones.
- *Because I don't think you can without also being accused of suffering from some form of "schizophrenia"!*
- How is it not the case that symptoms of schizophrenia and genius are simply indistinguishable to all who are not geniuses?
- As I wrote somewhere else: it is not the chef's fault if you lack the palate required to enjoy a particular meal.
