  1. [23:07] Tenko awakens from his thousand yard stare, once again with an eccentric spurt of poisoned food for thought.
  2.
  3. "Who do the angels in their heaven pray to? Who do they entertain? Who have they made us prisoners to serve?"
  4. (Tenko Ultovex)
  5. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  6.
  7. [23:08] Jun Ultovex says, "Not many notice a lot about me really."
  8. [23:09] Ascalon Zanders says, "They pray to Kraus or if enlightened Azrael. They entertain nothing but their own foolishness if the former, their wisdom the latter. For the third, well I would say Kraus but. . . Maybe not."-------------------------------------------------------------
  9.
  10. [23:10] Tenko Ultovex says, "No. No the angels do not pray to their own, for they are equals. They would follow their fellows, but not give praise."
  11. [23:10] Ascalon Zanders asks, "How do you know?"
  12. [23:11] Tenko Ultovex asks, "Would you praise your brother as a god?"
  13. [23:11] Ascalon Zanders says, "Depends on how staggering his feats."
  14. [23:11] Tenko Ultovex asks, "So you pray to strength? Or do you pray to wisdom? Truth? Justice? Life? Death? Entertainment?"
  15. [23:12] Zenial asks, "would you say accursed are like the opposite of angels?"
  16. [23:12] Tenko Ultovex says, "No."
  17. [23:12] Zenial asks, "whats the opposite of an angel then?"
  18. [23:12] Tenko Ultovex says, "An angel with opposing views"
  19. [23:13] Zenial says, "....anyways"
  20. [23:14] Ascalon rubbed the back of his neck. He didn't wanna just shout Azrael but it was a reflex almost to do so.
  21. (Ascalon Zanders)
  22. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  23.
  24. [23:14] Ascalon Zanders says, "I suppose achievment is the true determination of somethings worth."
  25. [23:14] Jun waves.
  26. (Jun Ultovex)
  27. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  28.
  29. [23:14] Tenko Ultovex says, "It is quite simple, really. To us, those worthy of reverence we praise to as gods of exterme feats. However.. those with extreme feats also must praise something for they too exist with knowledge. That which thinks, is that which questions and knows."
  30. [23:14] Feth Vishkar says, "I wonder what they were trying to get from this offer."
  31. [23:14] Ardith meanders in from god knows where. The occultic powder keg twitches and waves back.
  32. (Ardith)
  33. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  34.
  35. [23:15] Hoppy shrugs.
  36. (Hoppy)
  37. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  38.
  39. [23:15] Hoppy asks, "What does this statue even symbolize?"
  40. [23:15] Hoppy asks, "Like, it has a staff, and that one has a sword. So maybe mages...?"
  41. [23:16] Hoppy asks, "Feth, are mages known for eating leeks?"
  42. [23:16] Hoppy asks, "Is it like some sort of secret magic technique?"
  43. [23:19] Feth Vishkar says, "I'm no mage."
  44. [23:19] Feth Vishkar says, "But I don't think so."
  45. [23:20] He had just gotten done with part of his training for the most part. Now he was just in the square, idling about until something happened or someone hew wanted to see came about. Such a thing had indeed happened after he had noticed Ardith step forth.
  46.
  47. She seemed a bit off to him though, a bit twitchy. He was used to her being nervous and such but this seemed somewhat different. Perhaps the voices that she was hearing were messing with her? He wasn't to sure really but he was a bit concerned.
  48.
  49. "Ya' alright Ardith? Ya' seem a bit twitchy."
  50. (Jun Ultovex)
  51. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  52.
  53. [23:20] Hoppy says, "Huhum."
  54. [23:20] Hoppy says, "Oh, well."
  55. [23:20] Tenko spreads his hands as his mind wanders unfettered by sanity for a short moment, runes spreading out from his form with various alphanumerical values, no coherent wording or numerical value present. A momentary mental break from the extensive study of the angelic runes utilized in wayfinding, the vast number of runes and mathematics required had overtaken his conscious mind for a time as his personality took a back seat to thought.
  56.
  57. "That which is at the apex worships often that which does not exist, or exists outside of known existence. For the angels there would be but two things to worship. That which created everything including they, and that which is nothing yet exists. The first Idea and the Void that is nothingness yet everything."
  58. (Tenko Ultovex)
  59. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  60.
  61. [23:24] Twitchy is accurate. He comes closer with that sparking aura and the wind kicks up. Just a little. It's a reflexive response.
  62.
  63. "F-fine. I'm fine," she replies off-handedly. And unconvincingly.
  64. (Ardith)
  65. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  66.
  67. [23:26] Ascalon's Emerald hue settled upon, he stared at them for a long time. Just listening to their ramblings, to their speculations, to their ending of the void. To say that his speculation that the angels worshipped the void brought a scowl to the Oscuri's face would be an understatement.
  68.
  69. "I'm going to lean towards the first idea. I doubt anything sane would worship nothing. While, I can see the thought process behind it. Tell me, why would you worship nothing? Why would you acknowledge nothing?"
  70. (Ascalon Zanders)
  71. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  72.
  73. [23:39]
  74. {LOAD GAME}
  75.
  76. [23:40] Tenko's eyes stared blankly into the sky above ascalon a moment in emptiness before thought once more came to his mind, returning his control slowly as his arms lower. The sea of runes winking out of existence save for three letters, three numbers and two words.
  77.
  78. 1. 2. 3.
  79. Light.
  80.
  81. A. B. C.
  82. Dark.
  83.
  84. Their symbolic purposes existing as both oppositions and similes. The numbers were numerically similar to the letters in order of natural translation, yet they were quiet obviously numbers. The words of Light and Dark were both conceptual existences of light and it's absence, both of which relied on the existence of one to create both.
  85.
  86. "To acknowledge the existence of that which brought forth everything is to acknowledge that there once was nothing, and is the potential for nothing and thus.. nothing itself is as powerful as everything. Simple really."
  87. (Tenko Ultovex)
  88. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  89.
  90. [23:47] Gorum says, "Excuse me"
  91. [23:47] The young Zanders watched the actions of Tenko's runes. His emerald hue scanning about the runes for a moment. Reading them, contemplating them even. Though as the explanation was forthcoming he'd refocus his attention to Tenko himself.
  92.
  93. The Oscuri's eye seemed to dilates as if focusing and unfocusing upon the nearby undead. The singular orbital perhaps not being able to focus very easily. Struggling to do the job of two. Two, where there was one another should exist.
  94.
  95. Then as if the runes and symbols clicked with the Oscuri his gaze widened a touch. It made perfect sense in that moment. It really was simple.
  96.
  97. "You've a point. It was so simple I overthought it."
  98. (Ascalon Zanders)
  99. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  100. [23:49] Tenko lowers his hands as the final runes wink out of existence, a single shape forming behind himself that was not a rune, nor was it something without form. A large '?'
  101.
  102. "Now that it is known, if only for a brief moment and a flash in the mind the question now arises. For those who follow Azrael to question not their beliefs, but their closeness to Azrael.
  103.
  104. Who does Azrael believe in? For it is not enough to simply follow your spirit father's words, you must step into his shoes, walk his path and become truly one of Azrael's children."
  105. (Tenko Ultovex)
  106. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  107. (Feth Vishkar)
  108. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  109.
  110. [23:55] Hoppy laughs on her spot, covering her mouth with a single hand but to little effect.
  111. (Hoppy)
  112. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  113.
  114. [23:55] Hoppy says, "That's a power move."
  115. [23:55] Feth Vishkar says, "It's nice and warm for you now."
  116. [23:56] "The answer to that one is simple. He believes in us, the royal us. Humanity. Why else would the Savior suffer so greatly? None suffers such for themselves alone but for what they believe."
  117.
  118. He spoke smoothly as if the answer had been obvious. Why else would he have suffered so greatly if he did not worship Humanity for what it was and could be? The angel had given away their white feathers for Humanities immortality.
  119.
  120. (Ascalon Zanders)
  121. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  122.
  123. [23:56] Dylerun Grauhimmel says, "Uh-huh."
  124. [23:58] Tenko folds his hands over one another as the large symbol behind him vanished entirely. His mind once more fully calm and centered after a question of existence passed by.
  125.
  126. "Believe then, in humanity as Azrael believes. Walk in his footsteps and grow stronger for it."
  127. (Tenko Ultovex)
  128. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
