  1. [10:43:33] Jackdaw Rueger says, "Besides its time I started researching into Necromancy especially since war is looming."
  2. [10:46:42] Rebecca Ravenseer says, "Well, good luck with your training."
  3. [10:47:27] Jackdaw Rueger says, "Thank you. Hopefully during this revival tommrow and afterwards I can learn much on the topic."
  4. [10:48:23] Jackdaw Rueger says, "Do you know of any places that hold records or manuscripts on the necromancy? just so I can begin with base knowledge."
  5. [10:49:24] Rebecca Ravenseer says, "There's the library in the fort. Should be some copied down notes inside."
  6. [10:49:41] Jackdaw Rueger asks, "ah in Avalon?"
  7. [10:50:10] Jackdaw Rueger says, "I'll be sure to take my time studying them"
  8. [10:50:45] Jackdaw Rueger says, "I have nothing better to do at this time than to prepare."
  9. [10:51:07] Rebecca Ravenseer says, "Prepare well then."
  10. [10:51:42] Jackdaw Rueger says, "Gladly. Thanks for your time Rampart I will take your words of wisdom to mind."
  11. [10:52:09] Jackdaw Rueger says, "See you around most likely at tommrows big event."
  12. [10:52:18] Rebecca Ravenseer says, "See you then."
  13. [10:59:22] Jack began to browse through the many aligned documents very few were of the sort he needed until he came across handwritten notes they weren't sighed or dated but contained in the bounds of a journal oddly titled " The process of Azrael's blessing" Jack continued to study the pages of the journal it indeed seemed to hold much knowledge on such a topic as he was searching. The key being Necromancy, it seems it doctored in-depth theories and practices usually be fitting a proper necromancer.
  14.
  15.
  16. It seemed these notes were precisely what Jack needed. But he decided Avalon's shelves weren't enough. Necropolis would have more on the topic seeing as it was the city made for the undead. He collected what few other pages he could find and bound them into the journals covers. He figured he would continue to search for other manuscripts which documented the process of necromancy.

  23. [11:08:34] Within the walls of Necropolis Libraries many a document on necromancy and its arts could be found and studied. As well as the anatomy and body structures of many of the worlds races. All perfectly laid out for him to reach out and grab. Jack could find information about necromancy he never considered possible before. If he hadn't gained his scholarly skills from attending the Black Court he wouldn't be as adept in the terms that were spoken here.
  24.
  25. The rituals spoken upon by the texts and the notes were scared and clearly always a topic of debate even within Valmasian culture before the Undead Litch and his Armies of Undead and Oscuri took the continent. Jack was blown away to learn the history of the arts gifted by Azrael and his grand vision. Sure he had heard it plenty of times but not with such great detail.
  26.
  27. Azrael's perfect undead were as close to immortal as possible able to regenerate their flesh and never rot or feel pain. Azrael's vision of death made life seem insignificant. However due to the loss of the morning lords glory modern necromancy is but a far cry from perfection. Even those who master the art struggle to maintain an undead with a that remains intact.

  34. [11:26:02] Jack would continue to advance his knowledge in the basics of the arts He would read on the history of the great arts while also taking note of the anatomy and mana circuits of each race noted. He was astounded by all the information there was to be found but what was more was the process of summoing the soul of the dead out of the life stream and allowing it to dwell within the corpes of their choosing.
  35.
  36. Jack continued to read on, However to maximize the results of a successful call to a spirit that they must contain a portion of the intendeds flesh ideally the whole body to call the spirit and have it function properly within its original vessel. However its possible to transfer the souls of a failing body into another in the advance practices of the art.
  37.
  38.
  39. Jack was intrigued at the potential to do such feats reviving warriors he had fallen or raising armies to defeat his enemies. It was all so incredibly interesting that he couldn't help but continue to read and enjoy the knowledge he was receiving. He saw that many rituals involved using runic circles or even alchemical compounds one could use many different methods of binding a soul to a body however that wasn't the most important step of the process.

  42. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  43.
  44. [11:34:31] The process entailed binding the soul of the summoned to the necromancer forming such of a contract that places the master in full control of the summoned actions. Having been said the necromancer would not ever be defied by their minions however depending on the strength of the magi that was summoned it is possible that they could resist the bind and usually killing their master and freeing themselves from the control. Thus making necromancy a volatile art. If enough hatred and malice was born through to break the bind and sever control a wild undead would roam with out its leash.
  45.
  46. Jack remembered when Rebecca called on Ceres bind forcing her nearly into submission however Ceres being a powerful necromancer and magi herself would have been full able to resist and break free of Rebecca's control. Even if the master doesn't die if the bind is broken and unable to be reestablished within time the undead is able to free themselves to never be controlled again.
  47.
  48. Jack wondered what would have happened if Ceres would have broken free rom her binds and attacked Rebecca. He was glad it didn't have to come to such an ending they were both renown necromancers losing one would due to pettiness would be a great blow to Valmasians Military force. Jack continued on reading more about the abilities of the undead.

  54.
  55. [11:46:43] The undead at lower tiers or 3rd tier undead possess quite less intelligence than those of full bodies and power. These are usually skeletons mostly made from civilians or lower class magi whom would be impossible for them to break binds set by a magi that far out classes them. They are loyal to a tee able to carry out simple task or even become foot soldiers in an army. Skeletons are usually what make up the bulk of an undead army seeing as how they are easy to manipulate and cause little resistance. However when given the numbers they can become quite a nuisance being able to fight on par with weaker magi and foot soldiers.
  56.
  57. The next tier of undead or second class undead would be those who are revived in full possibly with no injuries remaining from their death but that varies on circumstance on their appearance. They are able to use the magic they had when they were alive seeing as the mana circuits must be active in order to summon an undead into a vessel in the first place.
  58. They emit a natural aura of rot and depravity however depending on the necromancers skill this can be migrated to some degree. The would be considered high ranking officers in a military stand point able to even take command of lower ranking skeletons and fight on par with Mid rank magi.
  59.
  60.
  61. The final tier First Class undead are almost never seen these days. Possibly the only one in existence would likely be the Immortal Litch king Kyros himself. Not nearly like Azrael's perfect creations of immortality but as close as mortal hands could muster. Able to freely manipulate the rot within their bodies and at times spread their suffering inflictions to others. Capable of raising their own undead and controlling them with ease. These undead if allowed to would be general class powerful enough to sway undead to break their binds of their masters and join its legions However although they have are powerful the are without limits. Able to establish a bind to their own bodies creating an even powerful union with darkness of their souls. Making it nearly impossible to kill them seeing as their soul connection is their own souls.

  66.
  67. [11:56:21] Jack was nothing but impressed seeing so many forms of undead and different ranking systems given to them. There were even custom ranks some near the power of demons depending on the power of the body it was given. However it was good to take into consideration that each rank bared a lot of weight the higher and stronger the class tiers went. As it would be easy to control an army of undead skeletons an Army of Second class or First Class would be impossible without the help of an divine artifact.
  68.
  69. While reading this Jack knew more of why the spire Shards were necessary now. If they could harness its untamed divine energies they could easily find Perfect undead amongst their midst. Jack's eyes filled with passion for knowledge continued to expand his mind on necromancy and its subjects. Although the benefits of the art seemed many it was a difficult act to perform. The notes detailed that there are many ways to modify the rituals of necromancy Many ways to fail and possibly many ways to die while in the process.
  70.
  71. Manipulating the raw life stream to call a soul back into its body was an act that rends the veil of life and death giving considerable leverages and opportunities for things to go wrong. However with this power mastered one could take whole countries. Even whole continents given that they could raise their fallen and their enemies fallen with no avail. With just one necromancer of Master Rank proved a threat to all of Valmasia and eventually conquered it. Jack could only wonder what an entire unit or squadron dedicated to resurrection could accomplish.

  73. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  74.
  75. [12:03:54] Jack slid another book from the shelf and began to read its content's the title read simply. " Life after death. How to continue living as an undead thrall." for the most part it seemed to detail the way things would be while living as an undead. Unable to taste food or make any sorts of waste products. Drastic changes to their personality are common afterwards from when they were alive and jumbled memories are all side effects undead would face.
  76.
  77. It seems having their souls torn out of the life stream and stuffed back into their old bodies didn't do well for them as a whole. They would have bouts of anger and rage pushing them closer to becoming imbued with the chaps spectrum of the life stream. They smell of rot and a faint aura of decay would linger around them and grow in potency the more corrupted the magi became.
  78.
  79. And of course they were subservient to their masters control. Like stated before unable to break the binds placed during their summoning's. Having full no real control of their undead freedom unless decided upon by their master.
  80. (Jackdaw Rueger)
  81. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  82.
  83. [12:07:48] Jack continued to browse through the novels until finally he had his fill he had spent hours reading and studying runic diagrams of summoning circles and binding runes necessary to revive an undead. Although not necessary being able to Rune Scribe proved to be more of a talent within necromancy than Jack first expected. Enchanting his control over the body and allowing the soul to reside in a body already marked by his runes gave him far more control than normal necromancer could garner restricting the soul of the summoned undead even further if necessary. Jack packed up a few more books on necromantic summoning rituals and runes and decided he'd be on his way home to rest.
  84.
  85. After gathering his materials he went on his way far more excited than before to see an necromancer work come to literally before his eyes.
