  1. In school I have always been fascinated by mathematical and technological studies. Ever since I was a child, computers in particular have been an important part of my life. Not only because I like to play videogames, but also because the technical details behind a PC always fascinated me.
  2. When I started my studies of IT management at the Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen in Germany, my motivation for this topic was substantiated even more. It was not hard for me to start working on all the complex things that lay behind the world of IT, since they all are exciting to me. It is great to direct energy into something you are really interested in and this passion supports the learning aspect as well. I enjoy putting my acquired knowledge from class on the test and to have a direct practical use, by creating my own programs and algorithms in my free time too. The skills and knowledge I win by working in this field of science, really fulfil me and that is why I want to get the most of the time I am studying. I would like to improve my skills in the English language, since this plays an important role in IT management and in this field of science in general. When I heard of the possibility to study a semester in Edinburgh at the Napier University, I thought this would be a great opportunity for me to fulfil this goal.
  3. Meeting many new people at the university in Germany was very exciting to me and I really look forward to the experience of living in a foreign country. I am interested in making new contacts and improve my social skills in the city and the Napier campus in Edinburgh. After I heard more about the contents of the lectures at the Napier University, I was interested even more. The topics that are lectured are very exciting, since they are very close to what is happening in the real world. For example I am very interested in machine learning algorithms and the knowledge I acquired in Germany would be extended in a perfect way. I am looking forward to this great opportunity.
