- arthurianNoblesse: HEllo IRis.
- mercurialTraceur: Greetings and Felicitations to you, my good friend.
- mercurialTraceur: I trust you are having an excellent day?
- arthurianNoblesse: YEs, I Most certainly am.
- arthurianNoblesse: MAy I Inquire as to the excellence of your day?
- mercurialTraceur: Oh, quite a Proper sedate day.
- mercurialTraceur: I have made three new napkins for an upcoming dinner party with my Auntie.
- arthurianNoblesse: AH, that sounds lovely.
- mercurialTraceur: It is quite Proper.
- mercurialTraceur: Auntie says that my Tea Ceremony studies are quite lacking, so we will be working over such.
- arthurianNoblesse: MY sister has said something of similar effect regarding my parrying, so I suppose we will both be striving for self improvement.
- mercurialTraceur: Oh heavens.
- mercurialTraceur: Parrying?
- arthurianNoblesse: YEs, it's a defensive technique employed in sword fighting.
- mercurialTraceur: It seems to me that being lacking in parrying leaves one...
- mercurialTraceur: Impaled?
- arthurianNoblesse: YOu're quite right, a deficiency in parrying ability often results in an abundance of stab wounds.
- mercurialTraceur: Which is quite Dire.
- mercurialTraceur: So work hard on them!
- mercurialTraceur: We wouldn't want you stabbed.
- arthurianNoblesse: I Shall certainly endeavor to gain proficiency in them, as no good knight would allow himself to be stabbed.
- mercurialTraceur: Splendid! I am enthused to hear such.
- mercurialTraceur: I am not entirely certain what the Internet Social Protocol is for such situations.
- mercurialTraceur: So I will wish you the very best instead.
- arthurianNoblesse: I"m happy to please you so, but if I may, I would suggest that we move to happier topics than my hypothetical impalement.
- mercurialTraceur: Of course. That would be no trouble.
- mercurialTraceur: I actually had a small matter that I wished to inquire about...
- mercurialTraceur: Somewhat
- mercurialTraceur: In a Gray area, of propriety.
- mercurialTraceur: Is armor Proper?
- arthurianNoblesse: I"m afraid I May be misinterpreting your query, but I Would say that armor is certainly proper for a knight.
- arthurianNoblesse: ONe could almost say it is more proper than ordinary clothes.
- arthurianNoblesse: AMong armors there are certainly a range of propriety as well, from dull but serviceable to ornate but poorly suited for combat.
- mercurialTraceur: What about for a Proper Lady?
- arthurianNoblesse: FOr a proper lady?
- mercurialTraceur: I was going to ask Auntie... But you are a Proper Knight! Quite a better source.
- mercurialTraceur: Yes.
- arthurianNoblesse: WEll, I Can't recall a great many proper women who wore armor, but there certainly were some who did so.
- mercurialTraceur: Perhaps under a Proper dress?
- arthurianNoblesse: THe most notable example that arrives from my memory is QUeen ELizabeth I.
- arthurianNoblesse: IF I Recall correctly there are some who say she wore armor to motivate her troops.
- mercurialTraceur: Hum
- mercurialTraceur: A Queen is certainly Proper.
- arthurianNoblesse: I"d imagine one would be hard pressed to be more proper a woman than the queen of ENgland.
- mercurialTraceur: One might say the most Proper!
- mercurialTraceur: Yes indeed!
- mercurialTraceur: I will have to dwell upon this matter.
- mercurialTraceur: I don't suppose there is a useful guidebook to Proper Armor about somewhere?
- arthurianNoblesse: I"m afraid there is none I Can think of at this second, I Will have to delve into my literature in search of one.
- arthurianNoblesse: I"ll be certain to inform you should I FInd something I Believe will prove useful.
- mercurialTraceur: Wonderful.
- mercurialTraceur: Now, I believe you began this Internet Chatting Experience.
- mercurialTraceur: Did you have something you needed from me?
- arthurianNoblesse: AH, no, I Merely wished for some company whilst I was gardening and I Saw that you were available for engagement in such.
- mercurialTraceur: While gardening? How does one achieve that?
- arthurianNoblesse: MY garden is fairly well established, so there is little to do beyond pruning and watering, therefore I may place my computer near me and talk while I work.
- arthurianNoblesse: OFten I Will listen to music, but sometimes it is nice to speak with my friends.
- mercurialTraceur: Well, I am always quite happy to provide you with conversation.
- mercurialTraceur: And if you ever have any inquiries on Propriety, I am quite in your debt.
- arthurianNoblesse: ACtually, now that I Think about it, there is something I Would inquire.
- mercurialTraceur: By all means.
- mercurialTraceur: A Proper Lady is always ready to assist.
- arthurianNoblesse: I"ve just become aware of an unfilled space within my garden and was hoping you could provide me with inspiration for filling it.
- arthurianNoblesse: TEll me, what is your favorite flower?
- mercurialTraceur: My favorite flower.
- mercurialTraceur: Well, I hope you will not consider this overly vain of me.
- mercurialTraceur: But I am quite fond of my namesake.
- mercurialTraceur: An Iris.
- arthurianNoblesse: AH an IRis!
- arthurianNoblesse: THat would be perfect!
- mercurialTraceur: If you'll recall, I used to employ the same shade a my Signature color.
- mercurialTraceur: But someone told me it was quite Bothersome to them.
- arthurianNoblesse: TRuly a shame, I Quite liked that color, although your new choice is also quite pleasing.
- mercurialTraceur: It is standard.
- mercurialTraceur: I considered that being overly Gaudy would be quite Crass of me.
- mercurialTraceur: But yes, it is a pity.
- mercurialTraceur: But I wished to be considerate of my er...
- mercurialTraceur: Foreign friend.
- mercurialTraceur: I am not certain if you every had a chance to speak to her.
- arthurianNoblesse: I"m afraid I Have not yet had that pleasure, perhaps you would be able introduce us some time?
- mercurialTraceur: I will see if Miss Caelia will be able to do so.
- mercurialTraceur: I will need to read up on the Proper Protocols for introducing Foreign Dignitaries to a friend.
- arthurianNoblesse: OH my, is she a dignitary?
- mercurialTraceur: After a fasion.
- mercurialTraceur: A Representative of her er... People.
- mercurialTraceur: She really should explain the matter.
- arthurianNoblesse: Very well then, I Shan't pry.
- mercurialTraceur: Not at all!
- mercurialTraceur: Secrets are terribly Unbecoming of a Lady.
- mercurialTraceur: But it would be quite Crass to speak of her when she is not present.
- mercurialTraceur: Try to speak to her at alienatedConscience
- mercurialTraceur: If you have a moment.
- mercurialTraceur: But I should see if we cannot have a Proper introduction.
- arthurianNoblesse: OH, I must apologize, it was not my intention to insinuate that you were engaged in matters of unladylike intrgue, I was simply stating that I would respect her privacy.
- mercurialTraceur: Not at all. Quite fine.
- mercurialTraceur: Here, allow me to demonstrate.
- mercurialTraceur: :)
- arthurianNoblesse: OH my, it seems the time has gotten away from me whilst we were chatting, my sister is about to leave for the weekend.
- mercurialTraceur: Of course, of course.
- mercurialTraceur: I will commence considering the matter of Proper Armor.
- arthurianNoblesse: AGain, I Will let you know should I Find anything on the matter.
- arthurianNoblesse: Good bye for now IRis.
- mercurialTraceur: It would be most appreciated, my good sir.
- mercurialTraceur: And Farewell to you as well!
