  10. Install VMware Fusion v8.5.10
  11. Start Fusion and create / import a VM
  12. Quit Fusion
  13. Rename the "VMware Fusion" app to "VMware Fusion 8"
  14. Install VMware Fusion v11.1.0 (later versions will not work)
  15. Start Fusion v11.1 and start a VM
  16. IMPORTANT - enable 'Screen Recording' access when prompted
  17. Shut down the VM and exit Fusion
  18. Add "VMware Fusion 8" to 'Full Disk Access' (in Security & Privacy)
  19. Drag VMware Fusion (v11.1) to the Trash
  20.  
  21. That's it!
