- I just installed RRF 3.5.0-beta.3 an suddenly my machine ignores axis limits. The configuration seems ok as far as i can tell:
- M564
- Movement outside the bed is not permitted, movement before homing is not permitted
- M208
- Axis limits (mm)s X-95.0:95.0, Y-95.0:95.0, Z0.0:219.8
- However when i move the printhead using G1 or the DWC Dashboard the Printhead just keeps going.
- Specifying all axis parameters (even those unchanged) in the G1 command produces slightly different results. I ran the following experiment:
- ```
- - Initial Printhead position: X 0.0 Y 0.0 Z 210.00
- Changed Z axis minimum to something safe for testing: M208 Z200 S1
- Tried to move Printhead below limit: G1 Z110
- - Printhead moves to position X 0.0 Y 0.0 Z 110.00 (far below axis limit of 200)
- Moved Printhead back up: G1 Z210
- Printhead moves to expected position X 0.0 Y 0.0 Z 210.00
- Tried to move Printhead below limit **with all axis parameters**: G1 Z110 X0 Y0
- - Printhead moves only slightly below Z axis limit: X 0.0 Y 0.0 Z197.82
- ```
- That leads me to believe that this might be related to the following change in RRF 3.5.0-beta.2:
- "Previously, unless M564 was used to ignore machine limits, all axis limits were enforced on all G0 and G1 moves. This sometimes caused a problem on the next move if an axis limit was changed when the axis coordinate was outside the new limit. Axis limits are now enforced only for those axes that were mentioned in the G0 or G1 move."
- Please let me know if you need any more information.
