- in the south sea there are mostly undead, dwarven, catfolk, and human crews. in the north there are hobgoblin/goblin, human, kitsune, and very rarely ratfolk crews. obviously only as common/majority populations of pirate crews- there are the rare one-off less common racial inclusions here and there.
- some notorious crews in particular:
- south seas:
- Ansel Blackribs- Captain of the Hell's Maw. A majority undead crew that harasses merchant ships between Rashapoint and Adante.
- Drakthun Irongut- Captain of the Steelkite. A majority dwarven crew that raids exclusively human merchant vessels that come around east point towards Hanakr.
- Linsa Clawsrip- Captain of the Deadhand II. A diverse crew that primarily remains in port at Clawsrip Cove, a small port run by the pirates themselves- often enforced as a strict no-violence middle ground meeting place for deals between outlaws. When at sea, they act as bounty hunters, tracking down various crews that have broken the sacred "pirate's code of honor".
- north seas:
- Hanz Zrgrdr- Captain of the Gretrskmrgrndr. A hobgoblin crew that raids and attacks elven vessels and ports and bullies vessels bound for elven ports.
- Arthur the Deft Hand- Captain of Her Majesty's Thorn. A human crew with a penchant for theatrics. Often attacks merchant vessels and ships carrying people of great importance, ransoming the loot and people back.
- Aoisame- an unknown vessel. A crew responsible for the attack and assassination of several high ranking human nobles. Known only by their calling card left with their victim- a fin cut from the blue sharks of the northern sea.
