  1. The doors swung open as Gajin strolled into the west wing of the Fireblooded temple's forgery. His gaze followed the carpet until it stopped pointing at the altar of the Twins. Two dragons which flanked a mighty kiln, the same kiln which powered the forging of the Fireblooded's weapons. As he stopped his gaze shifting towards the anvils on his left and right, twins forged so that two smiths could work in tandem. He thought about the Kyra Wolffe and here desire to give the Temple access to a proper forging space. Yet that had been years ago and now it was just him who worked within the forgery.
  2.
  3. Letting out a sigh he walked to his work desk. Looking at the plans he'd drew up. It was a blade for Eadmod, per his request, something that should give him and the Fireblooded as a whole an edge in the battles to come. Yet, it was up to him to make the first steps which wasn't all that hard. It just required the focus and the grit to make it happen. His hand came down on the table as he looked first to his materials there was the ores of mythril and orichalcum, the vials of blue mercury, three damaged dragon teeth, and the fire crystals.
  4.
  5. Then his gaze shifted back to the plans he'd drawn up. The plan was simply really, he would smelt the mythril and forge a strong blade from it. Utilizing the blue mercury as a core to give it speed and balance. Then came the work of crushing down the dragon teeth and fire crystals into a fine paste with which to etch empowering runes upon the blade. Finally the last step would be the coating of those runes with orichalcum for protection and to allow a smoother transference of power between each of them and the blade. Then he could use boar leather and strong mahogany to forge the hilt.
  6.
  7. Shifting away from the table the smith walked over towards the kiln, leaning down to breath a burst of flames into the open entryway. Lighting it aflame in dramatic fashion. He reached out to pull forth the melting pot, forged of stone and hanging over the now dull flames. He reached out, gathering up the ores and then turned back to the pot dumping them into the pot. Listening to them clang about as he did so he'd give a chuckle. Pushing the pot back over the flames quickly while reaching out for the billows. Pushing them down into their spot he would start to pump furiously.
  8.
  9. The constant influx of air into the burning coals of the Kiln quickly began to heat the thing. Flames licking up to touch the stone pot as the temperature in the small smithy began to skyrocket. As he pushed the bellows further and further the young drake reached out to the table, taking a handful of spare firecrystals and casting them into the flames. It was like lighting a match over oil, with a burst the heat skyrocketed and the blaze was fully going. He couldn't see the pot but he knew that the myhtril would begin to melt.
  10.
  11. Shifting away he walked over towards the table looking it over for a few moments. Looking back to the plans and making sure he was ready to keep going. It wasn't an easy process to forge a weapon of worth doubly so when you worked alone. Still as minutes passed he would turn back to the kiln. Reaching up to grip the leaver which pulled forth the pot from the kiln and brought it out into the open. It was molten now and ready to go, shifting his focuse from the pot Gajin rushed over to find a proper mold. One he'd prepared for just this occassion.
  12.
  13. Within seconds he sat the mold down upon the stones, tilting the molten mythril over so that it poured into said mold. Filling it to the brim in! It'd take some time but he shifted away, allowing the molten mythril to cool and harden slightly. While that went about he took a pestle and mortal up putting the dragon's teeth within it. With a great effort of force he ground the teeth to a fine powder and sat the bowl to the side. The fire crystals found themselves suffering the same fate and soon enough he had both in their respective bowls.
  14.
  15. By then the mythril was ready and as he turned back to it he took twin tongs from the wall and picked it up by the tang. Lifting it to the anvil where he could begin the ardous task of hammering it into proper shape. Each blow ridding impurities within the metal and strengthening himself. Many times as it cooled he would find himself dashing it back within the blazing kiln only to pull it back out and hammer again. This went on for hours until he felt it was free of any weakness.
  16.
  17. Then he took the vial's of mercury opening them and pouring them along the blade's length. They bubbled as the liquid metal bounded with the now hardening one. From the tang to the tip of the blade mercury was applied in a consistent amount so that a long length of mercury acted as the core of the blade. Then he stood and dashed the entire length into water near frozen with chill. Steam filled the workshop and for a moment Gajin worried he may have to start over. If the blade cracked or broke his efforts would be ruined.
  18.
  19. Pulling it free he found it whole, the mercury a solid for the moment making the blade heavy and unwieldy. Well no matter once the fire runes where applied the mercury would re-melt and no longer be an issue. Still it was something to make note of! Taking the blade over to a grinding wheel he began the task of sharpening and edging the blade. Making sure that the point was strong and the edges razor sharp. It took time but as it was finished he brought the blade to a rune scribing table.
  20.
  21. Turning back he'd refill the pot with the orichalcum and push it back into the kiln. Giving it time to melt as he took up the bowls of dragon tooth and fire crystals. Shifting back to the blade he brought out a delicate etching tool. Going to work along its length to make consecutive runes of flames and strengthening. Utilizing the stronger runes he'd learned from reading the scroll he would try and mimic their ancient drakon power.
  22.
  23. 'Yol Ahrk Suleyk Ahkrin Ahrk Vur'
  24.
  25. Fire and Power, Courage and Valor in the tongues of the old dragons. Runes meant to grant the wielder of the blade the nerves and will needed to fulfill the firebloodeds mission in life. Their holy mission granted by Garljing. Shifting away from the etched runes he began to fill them with a mix of powered dragon teeth and fire crystals. Filling each to the brim and watching as they already began to heat and burn. The magical words caursig the powders to melt and then re-harden quickly Gajin leapt up and pulled free the pot of molten Orichalcum.
  26.
  27. Pouring it into a stone cup he rushed to the table and picked up his runic brush. Dipping it into the molten gold and quickly layering it over the runes he'd written already. Form there he wrote along the blade the connecting runes and the delicate stretches of orichalcum ley lines. Allowing the mana of the user to reach every inch of the blade. With a deep sigh he looked at the weapon and smiled it was almost done.
  28.
  29. Getting up he took a handle he'd carved already and a crossguard that looked akin to twin dragon's looking up the length of the blade. Pushing first the hilt guard up the tank and fitting it into place before pushing the wooden hilt after it. Deciding on a decorative finish he would put on a disc like pommel that showed his heraldry. The man wreathed in a roaring fire on both sides of it. It might be the last thing some see.
  30.
  31. Looking at the finished weapon his lips curled into a smile. "Fire Tooth, that's a good name for you isn't it?"
  32. (Gajin)
