  1. Clarified r/arduino Rules, v3 - Comments to u/Machiela:
  2.
  3.
  4. 1 - Be Nice
  5.
  6. Remember the human. Be nice to each other, especially to the noobs - we all started at the bottom. That also means no witch hunts, no trolling or incendiary comments, no excessively crude language or otherwise NSFW behaviour. And while we're not a "Do-My-Homework" subreddit, we're definitely a "Please-Help-With-My-Homework" community, but be nice in pointing out the difference.

  8.
  9.
  10. 2 - Be Descriptive
  11.
  12. Use English as our common language (use Google Translate). Be as descriptive as possible in your posts. Info to include: which Arduino you’re using, a list of exact components, your code so far, what you’re trying to achieve, and what went wrong. Try to include a schematic of your circuit rather than a vague photo of a breadboard. The more info, the faster we can help. And, when you include your code in your post, format it properly, and no photos or screenshots of code please - text only.

  14.
  15.
  16. 3 - Be Helpful
  17.
  18. Low quality or off-topic posts or comments will be removed at the mods' discretion. So will memes, bots, reposts, stolen content, misinformation, politics, religion, etc. Almost all bots will banned on sight, and so will any shady, illegal, or otherwise unethical projects. We're also not a "Hire-A-Programmer" subreddit, unless you're offering market rates. Furthermore, your deadline for a solution is not our problem, so please leave them off your posts.

  20.
  21.
  22. 4 - Grow Our Community (Not Yours)
  23.
  24. We're here for the r/arduino community, not for promoting your own money-making channel. If your post isn't growing or supporting r/arduino, it may be removed. That means don't just post content to promote your YouTube channel, or your Discord server, or whatever private channel you run (but GitHub is ok). If you post a video from a private channel, answer questions. No spam or other blatant commercial production promotion, click-bait, or karma farming. Don't post URL's in your post titles.
