Each thorn varies in length, ranging from half an inch to more than half a foot, their tips hard, ebon wood and oozing the toxic slime that covers the vine. Several long, winding brambles have been wrapped about the thick body of the whip-like growth, twisting between the larger thorns for purchase. The base of the vine - nearly a foot in diameter - has been wrapped in putrid swamp moss, allowing only the greatest of hands to grasp and utilize the weapon.
