  1. Sunshine In The Rain
  2. Rain poured down as Derrick walked along the sidewalk, everyone around him were that of a blur as he walked pass. He liked the tranquil sound the rain made as it continued to press against the earth, not having any intent of stopping anytime soon. Flashbacks of him splashing around in the muddy rain puddles of a kid brought a slight grin to his face. It quickly disappeared in mere seconds, since he wasn’t in the best mood. He hadn’t seen Aaron in a while, or his boyfriend.
  3. Derrick and Aaron have been dating for years now, but Derrick had to be away from him for a while since he was currently studying computer science in California, whilst Aaron was stuck in Texas. Whenever he thought of how far away they were he began to become anxious a bit. He’s always been the person to think of the worst things that could possibly happen. Thoughts of never seeing him again almost brought him into breaking down at times, though this was no place to have an existential crisis at. With this, he continued to tread along the busy pavement while the rain seemed to deafen the city sounds that seemed so loud before but where nothing but background noise at the moment.
  4. Derrick lived in the ever-so-busy city of Los Angeles, around 27 minutes away from CalTech, which is where he was currently attending at. A rather large apartment complex came into view for him, which was his home. He continued to walk towards the skyscraper-like building until bumping into a few homeless folks. Their clothes were that of rags, and there was a small child with the middle-aged couple. They looked like they haven’t ate in a while, which Derrick immediately pulled out his wallet. He gave the woman $50 dollars, which they instantly thanked him, calling him the kindest of souls. Derrick smiled at them, saying it was no big deal, and that maybe he could supply them with shelter for a bit. They declined, but said thanked him for the offer.
  5. He then continued to amble along the wet pavement once again, opening the double doors that led him into a warm and rather welcoming lobby of sorts. The front-desk people said hello, greeting him with their usual happy-go-lucky attitudes. He waved at them, smiling at them as he said hello to them as well. Afterwards, he made his way towards the elevator, swiping his the room card of which he was given when he first moved there. The elevator music accompanied him as he stood in the lonely box of steel for a few minutes before the stainless-steel doors slid open for him to walk through. Derrick slowly made it through, he hoodie soaked from walking in the rain for so long. He hadn’t really paid close attention to his clothes as he daydreamed in the somber cry of the earth. Derrick shook his head, realizing he was only standing in place as he thought. He soon walked to his room finally, creaking the door open to his lonely apartment.
  6.
  7. At least, that’s what he thought.
  8.
  9. He wasn’t expecting to be greeted by a rather short, curly-haired human. It was Aaron! Derrick dashed towards him and picking him up into his arms, lifting the smaller male up. Aaron squirmed but quickly accepted his hug, seeing as he hadn’t seen him in a while. After a while he had actually squeezed Derrick tighter, closing any distance that the two had between them. Derrick chuckled as he lifted Aaron’s legs up, soon having his legs wrap around Derrick’s waist.
  10. “DeRRiCkkkK”
  11. “What?”
  12. “LeT mE GoOO”
  13. “No you loony tune.”
  14. Aaron puffed his cheeks at the nickname, though his expression turned into that of fear as Derrick laid him on the couch, Derrick being right on top of him
  15. ((okay I want to make this a lemon but hhhhhhh what’dya think Derrick))
