Several months ago my Gamertag was recovered by someone without my permission. When I became aware of this, I managed to reset my WLID's password with one of the 'Forgot Password' options and subsequently get my account back. I soon switched my Gamertag to a new WLID to prevent any further unauthorized access to my accounts. I didn't submit a case about the unauthorized possession of my account with Xbox Support because I was confident that it would not happen again. I am still unaware of who this person is, nor of how they acquired my account information.

When I finally recovered my Gamertag soon after that ordeal, I was quick to notice my Gamerscore was substantially higher and that all of my Achievements were unlocked. I still did not try to contact Support about what had happened because I feared my account would be suspended or my Gamerscore would be completely reset due to the likely illegitimacy of my new Gamerscore. I tried to ignore my Gamerscore thereafter, though it was frustrating knowing that I wouldn't be able to fairly complete any more Achievements on the games which had been completed already.

About a week ago I received a 'Gamerscore Correction'. Before I contacted Xbox Support via telephone about it, I conducted a bit of research about Gamerscore Corrections to figure out to why I could be experiencing one. I found out they occur when there is believed to be cheated Gamerscore. I realized the correction is because of the aforementioned unauthorized possession of my account. I soon contacted (800)-4MY-XBOX, told them what happened, why I believe it has happened, and I asked if I could appeal to the correction. The representative gave me some further information and told me that I could come here, to the support forums, to appeal.

Is there anything I can do to recover my legitimate Gamerscore and regain the ability to unlock Achievements again? I'm sure you guys can understand how frustrating this is. Any further info. about what I can do to fix this is appreciated. Thank you in advance.
