  2. This is nonsense. All the shafts have open joints along their floors. Any water entering from the top would disappear through these gaps and cracks long before it could ever reach the burial chamber. Not to mention the fact that the idea of water in the King's Chamber would have horrified the builders, who went to enormous effort to protect the pharaoh's remains from all outside influences.
