  1. (tell): Turc > you: Morning.
  2. (tell): You > Turc Tanarian: Ahah, pardon, I just realised, I think you said something? I was concentrating rather hard on chasing these bandits about.
  3. (tell): Turc > you: What do you know about Lin?
  4. (tell): You > Turc Tanarian: Absolutely nothing, I'm afraid. That's not a person I've met.
  5. (tell): Turc > you: I want you to. Can you do this for me?
  6. (tell): You > Turc Tanarian: ...why not just go and meet them yourself?
  7. (tell): Turc > you: I already have. I think you're not getting the point, which is fine because I'm not trying to give it to you. If you're not interested, that's all you need to say.
  8. (tell): You > Turc Tanarian: If I meet this person Lin, I meet them. I'm not about to go and seek them out on a mission, much less from someone I know almost as little about as I do the intended target.
  9. (tell): Turc > you: You know me from your dreams, and you know me well. Is that insufficient?
  10. (tell): You > Turc Tanarian: I don't pretend to know the motives of people I meet within the veil of dreams, but neither do I allow myself to be manipulated by them if I can help it.
  11. (tell): Turc > you: Where does manipulation stop and guidance begin?
  12. (tell): Turc > you: Your paranoia doesn't suit you.
  13. (tell): You > Turc Tanarian: It's hardly paranoia, but perhaps if you want to come across as offering friendly guidance, you might choose your words differently.
  14. (tell): Turc > you: I am NOT your friend. I am NOT your helper. I am NOT your mother, come to tuck you in and read you a story before you drift off to pleasant dreams and childlike fantasies. This will not be that kind of relationship so if that is what you are holding out for then you are going to be severely disappointed. But if you are here because you wish to serve the NIGHTMARE and HER CHOSEN then perhaps you can stop playing your childish games for a moment and oblige me as I try to show you something worth seeing.
  15. (tell): You > Turc Tanarian: Oh, apparently I've offended you? Pardon me, that wasn't my intent at all. I didn't imagine we had- or would ever have- any of those relationships, really. I'm just not in the habit of doing what I'm told by more or less complete strangers, is all. I walk the path of the lady Nightmare, not one set by Her followers for me.
  16. (tell): Turc > you: You don't offend me.
  17. (tell): You > Turc Tanarian: Oh, that's good then. I do try not to offend folk unduly.
  18. (tell): Turc > you: Few of us remain. We are the stewards of Her way.
  19. (tell): You > Turc Tanarian: I suppose there'd be need for that. Not everyone can see their own path to walk, after all.
