  39. The Celestial Sea Ballroom.
  40. This location is flooded with shallow, crystal clear water. This grandiose ballroom is wreathed in pearlescent walls that soar high overhead to support a resplendent, glass-tiled dome panelled with crystal-clear windows, allowing an unobstructed view of Celest's empyrean skies. A ring of five slender, glistening coral columns upholds the dome overhead, sculpted into the silhouettes of the Holy Supernals of Celestia, offering blessings upon all who pass beneath their auspices. Limned in silver, several clerestory windows of stained glass line the upper walls, portraying the luminous figures of seraphic angels, towering archangels, radiant devas, and rosy cherubs outlined against sunny azure skies. Nine lively fountains of cascading tiers, each sculpted as a representation of the seaside city's beacons, lie close to the walls in fanciful sprays and tricklings of crystalline water; inset with polished sea glass, the raised edges of their basins provide a comfortable place for ball-goers to rest and converse. The dance floor is wrought of milky alabaster, inlaid with beautiful, translucent panels of pale green sea glass that create a many-rayed replica of the Star of Celest. Through the panels, the rippling Inner Sea waters can be seen, the silvered and golden flickers of fish and other marine creatures flashing in and out of sight as they traverse a colourful underwater garden, filled with sea anemone, coral, and seaweed beds. Dressed in celestial silks, a gold and glass table stands here, waiting to be used. Countless miniature lanterns have been strung here just above head height, the oceanic hues of their ribbed paper shells lit up by the flickering candles within. Gleaming as the surrounding light reflects off of it, a pearlescent white bouquet of seashell and satin hangs upon a wall here. Fluttering gently in the breeze, curled streamers of oceanic hues decorate the room in festive array, rippling as if in an underwater current. Completely motionless, a slender leothin intently surveys its surroundings. Trailing plumes of cloud filled with ghostly faces, the evanescent form of a hopeful dream phoenix lingers here, wings of lightning-infused clouds cascading behind her. As still as a magnificent statue, an exalted dragon peers out with serene gold eyes. Clad in matte black leather, a golden-eyed savage lingers here like a living shadow. An earth elemental towers here, a behemoth of tainted rock and stone. Blue-green tendrils wriggling constantly, an animate muku sinker looms here with shimmering poise. Gabe is here, pondering thoughtfully. There is a burning illusory eye floating darkly over her. She wields a cosmic violin littered in stardust in her left hand. Ashira Ysav'rai, the Glowing Ember stands here, carrying with her the echo of a fading hammer blow. She wields a lyre of steel and emerald geometric shapes in her left hand.

  58. Pillars of golden cherubs hold up a sheet of crushed crystal glass, forming a simple, yet aesthetically pleasing table. Ivory and white silks lay in an almost haphazard fashion across the surface of the table, protecting the glass from wearing away and smudging from use. Set upon the table as a centerpiece is a large terracotta amphora baring the profiles of the Supernals in an assortment of tinctures. White placemats have been spaced evenly between each other, open for the placement of foodstuffs, cutlery, or whatever one may desire.

At first they manifest as glorious banks of sea flowers with wiggling fronds, but within a moment they morph into tendrils of red coral, displaying all the beauty of the ocean floor before fading into a sparkling memory.

  226. With several beats of her wings, Ashira alights upon Errente's shoulder.

  294. Edathic zi'Prouep is a female lucidian with alabaster skin that fairly sparkles like crushed pearls. Unlike many lucidians, her form is extremely supple. Her head is bald and as smooth as an egg, encircled by a thin gold band. She wears a beautiful silver gown made of crystals and metal shards of disparate sizes, their scattered pattern evoking an image of the constellation-filled night sky. It crests to a high neckline, but is sleeveless, and has been pinned at the back to shape its elongated train.

  387. Brother Neluane Serole, Colporteur of the Stars looks around, suddenly startled by the amount of people. He stuffs the sketches and notes into the deep pockets of his white robes and smiles faintly. "Salubrious salutations!" he offers and walks off to the side to hide within the crowd.

  389. LOOK NELUANE
  390. A short, thin-looking imperial merian, Neluane Serole looks as though he is generally underfed. His soft, feminine features mix with a strange, boyish enthusiasm to give the old male an oddly gender-neutral appearance. His cheeks are somewhat sunken in and his scales somewhat dull, though his smooth, blue skin manages to bear a vibrant, healthy glow. Airy robes of gauzy white cloth have been wrapped about him in layers, more often than not caught about in the warm salt breeze that washes in from the Inner Sea, bordering the city of New Celest. Silver-rimmed spectacles sit atop his nasal-ridge, their temple tips resting behind fanned, aquatic ears. His fin more rolls down his back than it does rise from it, a testament to his lackadaisical attitude towards anything but the stars that he so often charts.

  407. Esei pats Ilistala, an enormous leopard in a friendly manner.
  408. A loud rumbling emanates from Ilistala as she rubs against Esei.

  410. Errente looks exhausted and opens his mouth in an enormous yawn.

Though her gaze is often drawn humbly downwards, the glances from her blue-grey eye are alert and piercing. Clumsy, skittish movements suggest that she has not yet become used to the length of her limbs.

Continuing the dance, the couple eventually comes to a stop, and the masked kelpie presses a courtly kiss to her quinotaur partner's hand. "Thank you for the evening," she murmurs warmly to Niralahi. "I cannot imagine a better time."
