  1. I'm not just hating to hate. Some of the mechanics are fun, and there was definitely a ton of effort and heart poured into the game - I mean literally thousands of hours of extremely high-tier art and animation - but it's just not good.

  3. You get about 30 minutes of engaging story over your 100-200 hour journey, and most of the actual adventure is just frustrating tired game mechanics from 15 years ago peppered with some awful dialogues and sidequests and samey "dungeons."

  5. Nintendo did a few cool things and just tried too hard to milk them. It's like what if Portal 2 was just 200 hours long for absolutely no reason. Basically my biggest complaint is that it drags on way too long with uninteresting content, focuses way too much on traveling and grinding and collecting useless things, and it barely keeps me engaged with a sub-par story that's stretched so thin I stop caring entirely before I get more of it. It's like it just tried so hard to be everything that it forgot to be something.

  7. Also the monsters just scale with how far you are in the game or what kind of weapons you're holding idk but either way the end result is that I don't feel any sense of progression whatsoever. Oh you picked up a really nice sword? Well now the Bokoblins are WHITE and you may as well be holding a tree branch lmao sucker.

  9. The only way this shit got GOTY is because it's fucking Nintendo and Zelda and they have the money to market the game way more than any other developer. This game is awful and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. There are way better games out there for a fraction of the cost, that are way more fulfilling and don't require a 100-hour time investment to get a nice payoff.
