- "What do we do to fix the watch?" he asked politely, unsure how this all fit in with his present predicament.
- "There is only one way to stop the hours from dancing. You must find a person who doesn't belong in this present moment of time." She spoke without blinking. It was extremely unnerving.

- Jack sighed. "Of course there is."
- "The person out of time must be standing under the moon and sun, and must be in possession of the watch—and then let it go before it strikes the twelfth chime. It must be removed from him grasp. If not, all of time will collapse on itself and doom and chaos will rule on dese Seven Seas."
- "Er," Jack gulped.
- "And if you choose the wrong person," she continued, "someone who does belong in dis present moment of time, time will remain warped forever."
