  1. If you've watched any recent streams, you've probably heard me complaining about a beeping noise that my computer makes when I stream. I believe it is a result of either the PC overheating or my CPU usage being maxed out (or both). This is not a recent issue, as I have had it happen on occasion in the past since I started streaming. However, ever since I started running Crash NST on PC, it has been gradually becoming more frequent, to the point where now I cannot stream any PC game without it happening.

  3. At first it was only when I was playing NST, which I chocked up to that game absolutely chewing up CPU when it loads (I'm talking in the range of 50-60%). However, it has now started happening when I play A Hat in Time, and even when I was playing Spider-Man (which isn't even a PC game). Another large factor is that OBS also eats up a lot of my CPU usage, and I could probably mess around with some settings to fix this. Additionally, I showed my specs to a friend of mine, and he concluded the biggest issue is my RAM speed being slow. So I could also just upgrade my RAM. But I feel like these would only be Band-Aid fixes to temporarily avoid the real issue:

  5. My PC is old. It's by no means a bad machine, but it is definitely starting to show its age. I have had it for over three years now, and before that it belonged to my dad (who had built it) for at least a couple years prior. He was never one to settle for less when it came to building PC's, and the machine is definitely solid. But I just think it's starting to get too old.

  7. This issue has gotten to the point that I do not want to stream any PC game, because constantly having to listen to the beeping noise is incredibly annoying. This is one of the main reasons I have not been playing NST at all recently.

  9. I've been looking into building a new PC, and what I'm aiming for will likely be in the very pricey range (I'm talking over $1000). I want to make sure my next PC is very powerful and will last me a while, and will allow me to stream what I want to at a high quality. So, here's where I'm gonna do something I haven't done before:
  10.
  11. I have had a donation button at the bottom of my stream for a while now. If anyone would like to donate to help alleviate the cost of building a new PC, I would greatly appreciate it.
  12.
  13. Please understand, before donating, that I intend on building a new PC regardless of how many donations I get (if I get any at all). The job I currently have pays rather well, and I am capable of building one without causing significant financial harm to myself. However, the cost of building a new PC is still pretty high for me, and since my main intention for building the new PC is to improve my ability to deliver the content that people follow me for (primarily NST), I figure that I would give the option to people to donate, if they would like to support my ability to stream the games I want to play (and they want to see).
  14.
  15. Always remember though that you are in no way obligated to donate. It has never been required, and it never will be. But it will always be appreciated, because any donations I receive directly support me and my ability to deliver high quality content.
  16.
  17. As I said, the donation button is located on my stream page, but I will also leave a link here: https://streamlabs.com/riko_ksb/
  18.
  19. Thank you everyone. Hopefully I will be able to build this new PC soon so I can return to both NST and A Hat in Time, as well as ensure I don't have issues with other games moving forward.
