BACKGROUND: Xiao Chen was born to a moderately well-off family in Lille, France. Despite having loving parents who meant well, she craved more attention. Her mom was often away on business trips to promote to her clients, and her dad was also away on a frequent basis. Her closest guardian became her older brother Li Wei. At a young age, they were soon forced to look after themselves while her mom moved to South Korea for ten years. With their father busy with the company, she and her brother has no other choice but to look after themselves. They soon moved to Bordeaux after her father’s boss had relocated them. Even after the move, her father remained distant. He became more distant, in fact.

Growing up, Xiao Chen felt the need to express her feelings in some way, shape, or form. So she decided to take up dancing. Moving so freely had allowed her to vent out her frustrations, as well as to tell others how she felt with her movements. She also became part of the rap world after her dance friends introduced her to it. She soon found rapping as another way to relieve her worries and to vent out whatever feelings she felt.

In 2013, her mother finally came back. Xiao Chen was 16 at this point, but she still felt very distant with her parents. She had wanted to bond with them more, but she had little opportunities to do so. So when her mother was called back, she was disappointed, but not surprised. Her mother, on the other hand, had felt regret over not being there for her children while they grew up. So she offered to take them with her to Korea. Xiao Chen agreed, since her father was not much of an important figure to her. Her brother, however, refused, and stayed in France, due to him wanting to pursue his university studies there.

Once in Korea, Xiao Chen began to grow closer to her mom. She was open to try to whatever her mother had offered her to do. She still remained in contact with her brother, and she still continued to do what she had liked to do. Dancing, and rapping. She was soon introduced to the world of K-Pop, and was immediately drawn in. She saw her favourite idols doing what she had liked to do, and so she began to do covers and such. The idea of performing was very appealing to her, so when she was scouted, she obviously took the offer. Her mother was very against the idea, since it would draw her away from her daughter. But she eventually agreed when she saw how much Xiao Chen wanted to do it.

PERSONALITY: Xiao Chen is very energetic, and often is loud. She likes to voice out her opinions, but knows when to stop. She is very touchy, and likes being close to people. She is very outgoing, and is known to be open-minded. She is willing to try different things, and learn more about other people. She is a good listener, and she also wants someone who will listen to her. She can get impatient, however, and she is known to act out without thinking. She gets possessive over others, but this trait dies as she gets older.
