- Today in Demon's Souls news:
- Murder and squandered opportunities.
- Well as it turns out the Crescent Falchion has become my goto secondary. With its fast swings and lower stamina usage it's more than proven its worth.
- These qualities came in real handy when I challenged the Tower Knight again. With the rapid strikes and bonus magic damage I had the knight on his ass in seconds. I then discovered that his crotch isn't a weak point. I kept hitting the giant bastard there anyway. Having brought the foe to low health by many strikes to the legs I jogged to to his head to land a finishing blow. A good fight.
- I then returned to 1-1 to see if I could interest the dragons in some arrows. Two hits and 8 damage later nobody was convinced this was a good idea. I decided to take my full health bar elsewhere.
- Elsewhere turned out to be 2-1 and I managed to get myself a little lost. After running in a circle once I found where I was supposed to be going. The rest of the level proved to fuss and a was soon facing a giant, metal, flame spewing spider. Turns out that spewing fire isn't a great tactic when your enemy can just withstand the damage and get some healing items.
- I returned to the nexus for healing and levels. Then onto 4-1. With the Vanguard demon dead I headed straight on through, slapping down golden skeletons and nabbing some extra items. Soon I looked down the stairs upon yet another of the Black Katana Bones. I invited him up to the landing with some arrows. He responded by leaping to me. DIsgusted by this lack of decorum I slapped him silly with my Falchion. Or was it slap him dead? Either or.
- Then came the Adjudicator himself. I quickly headed down to face him. I was then promptly killed because an attempt at healing didn't happen, leaving me standing still like and idiot until I got smooshed. I was not impressed.
- Not in the mood for a repeat I moved to 2-2 and crystal lizard hunting. This time I was prepared. Taking my halberd into both hands I ran down the crystal lizards and poked them into submission. Even running into the Red Phantom trap I still slew the reptile before turning on the invaders. Despite outnumbering me they proved unimpressive and where cut down to size. Then I moved on to the lizard den. Sadly I was only able to slay a couple of the lizards within. Even so, I had acquired so much ore that I needed to swap out the Thief's Ring for the Ring of Herculean Strength. I then met Patches. I'm not sure he enjoyed having a giant bug explode on his head. Oh well. That said I know I didn't enjoy having three worms jump up and freak out the camera leading to an ignoble death.
- Spawning in the nexus I devested myself of baggage and took a well deserved rest.
