Apple Final Cut Studio 3 Install

please note that only dvd studio content are the same as the one from FCS2

the audio contents and motion contents are not the same from the fcs2 and logic 6 but they are the same as the audio content from the new logic

if you are having a problem with the torrent client saying there is an error with the file try this one

to install this on a PPC macs use this installer

this installer will allow you to install on any mac, and any OSX

it will however warn you instead of blocking you from installing it

to remove limitation on a program (after installing the apps) (in Finder, right-click an app > Show Package Contents browse to resources and look for files named 'minsys.plist delete them or edit in Property List Editor ("block" can be changed to "warn" or "allow").

however, there is minimum system requirement for a reason, so don't come crying if it doesn't run efficiently on your computer

the minimum system requirement i would give to run it without a problem would be as following

leopard 10.5.6 or higher
quartz extreme capable card (it will run on Intel based GPU macbooks but there are some functions disabled)
128 MB VRAM (will work on 64 but without some functions)
1 GB ram
G5 dual 2.0 PPC or higher (will run on a G4 1.67 only laptop any lower and will crash)
ran it on my quad G5 and it runs faster than it did on my mac pro  GOD bless the PPC
will actually run better on a 1.67 G4 laptop with 128 VRAM than it would on an Intel macbook with Intel graphics

The only gray area in the instructions is when to drop the "2010 pro apps" volume ID (separate download) into your drive>library>application support>pro apps folder. When you first run the installer you are asked for a serial number. This serial number is included with the download. enter it. The download proceeded as you would expect. After finishing installation, drop the "2010 proapps" (separate download) volume IDs into drive>library>application support>proapps folder. hit "replace" to replace the system IDs created by the installer. run update now to get the latest proapps


for people who are crying about no seed

for crying out loud read the previous posts with people having the same problem and others who downloaded it in less than a week

obviously there must be something wrong on your end to the point you are not getting any connections

check if you have an open port

if you don't know how to open one go to http://portforward.com/ to learn how to

try using transmission if you are on a mac it work way better than anything else out there




the image above is self explanatory for those who dont know what to select or deselect when installing it

the colors indicates what dvd image u need for what parts

the red color is the apps only so if u need to install the apps only then u need to only select the red dots

the same applies for the rest

i hope this makes it easy enough for those who dont know how to install it

still trying to figure out how they going to use it



contents can also be installed on a second drive if u have limited space or choose not to install contents on the main drive

to do so u need to install only the apps on the main drive, by choosing the red dotted part in the picture above.

when installer is done then u can go back to the contents disks and install them from there

motion contents can be installed using motion 1 disk installer

audio contents can be installed using audio 1 disk installer

dvd studio contents can be installed using the dvd studio contents installer


some people experience crashes while starting up the apps, to fix this do an update that should fix the problem


i will not answer any questions in the comments that has already been answered there or on the description above

so do your self a favor and READ



people whom are having a problem with apps crashing should do an update (apple update) that will fix most of the problems specially on newer systems that were sold after the date this software was released

some examples are the iCore prossesores and the new 6Core macpro
